There are 2 books in this title. I thought the 1st book a quiet storm was rather slow and it didn't get real good until the end. The 2nd book a Weaver beginning was very good. It held my attention to the very end and I was disappointed to have it end.
Thank you netgalley and Harlequin for allowing me to read this title for an honest review.

I definitely like RaeAnne Thayne’s style. She writes stories that are sweet and tough as well.
2 books in 1 and 2 cute novellas.
The Quiet Storm : I liked both characters and the story. The length of the book was good (I usually don't like short stories).
A Weaver Beginning : the bad boy side of Sloan could charm more than one (I was but I'm not so sure about that). I think Abby could have make him grovel a little more but the novella is quite good as it is..

Two books in one--always a lovely idea. I enjoyed both of these stories, but liked the first one slightly better than the second because I wasn't thrilled with the ending of the second one. I thought they both had their own sort of charm though and plenty of chemistry between the characters. it was good to read an earlier Thayne book as well, since all I've read is her more recent ones.
I always enjoy romance books where the characters have personality conflicts to overcome in the beginning and this had that. The men were strong and yet still romantic and understanding and these books highlighted the attraction portion of the relationship as much as the progression to something more serious. That was a nice change from so many where there seems to be no development.
I'd definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes charming men and tough ladies. Great romance and plenty to read.

This is two books in one. RaeAnne Thayne's The Quiet Storm and Allison Leigh's A Weaver Beginning. Both are good love stories with Alpha males who help their ladies and vice versa. Both have characters from the author's previous books but they stand alone well. Both are enjoyable reads. I automatically pick up any thing RaeAnne Thayne writes, finding a book by Allison Leigh was a bonus.

Two sweet romances with solid character development and interesting plots. Any contemporary romance fan will appreciate these books.

3.75 Hearts This is two different stories by two different authors and both are a re-release.
I will talk about the second story first. I have never read anything from this author before. The story was good but the ending was a little bit of a let down. I won’t be jumping to pick up a book by Leigh but if another double book comes up I would be fine with reading her story.
Now about A Quiet Storm. I am a fan of Thayne’s and read any new releases that come out. You can tell this was an early writing from Thayne as she has grown so much in her writing but the story is well written and the characters are fun to read. I enjoyed their connection.

The first book, A Quiet Storm, was pretty good (3 stars) but really liked the second one, A Weaver Beginning, much better. (4stars). Therefore I feel they should be separated into two books. What I like about A Weaver Beginning is that the author very slowly developed the characters and their stories. How they became better people from their relationships.

I liked both of the novels published in this two for one issue. Thane's is an early release that was very well written with great characters. Beau Riley and Elizabeth Quinn have a history that leaves Beau cold when Elizabeth comes asking for help. It was fun to see each learn to like and then love the other.
In A Weaver Beginning Abby Marcum's and Sloan McCray have a difficult past and Sloan has trouble seeing past what he thinks are his failures. Add a cute kid and you have a nice story. I did think that the ending was the weak point in the story but still enjoyed seeing the Weaver clan.
