Book feature to appear on my blog in May.

I was unaware this was a rerelease of a book from the early 1990s, as it is not marketed that way. I sort of feel publishers have a responsibility to put that information out there...

Very good story. I really enjoyed the characters. Looking forward to reading more books from this author.

Jade is a hugely enjoyable historical romance with a strong sense of place, a likeable heroine, and a weak-at-the-knees hero, what more can you ask for?

I enjoyed reading about Jade and Jason. It had suspense and kept me reading. While I enjoyed this book, I think I would have enjoyed it more if it didn't have the whole wizard side story. I feel like it didn't need to be there. I also felt that jade being fluent in Chinese was a bit forced. Really, how many women in the 1800s would be fluent in Chinese? The Chinese aspect on the book, with its culture and history could still have taken place without her being perfectly trained in France to speak Chinese. She could have actually been Chinese or even half-Chinese.
