This book was beautifully atmospheric. I was completely charmed by Joya, and by the unfolding romance of the plot.

Not well written and seemed very dated. Could not finish.

This book was ok, but I did have trouble with the fact that the main male character falls for his adopted sisters twin. Also had trouble with the fact that the rest of society just seemed to accept the fact that one is his sister and the other his sweetheart.

I absolutely loved this story, set in the exotic wilds of Africa where Victorian Orchid hunters brave hazards to find the prize of a new variety. Trevor Mandeville is one such adventurer who has been searching for an elusive expert hunter for a couple of years. He finally tracks Penn down to a secluded island, where he is shocked to find a far greater prize, his beautiful and wild daughter, Joya, so different from the staid society he is accustomed to. Mandeville then finds himself battling to prevent his passion from overcoming his stiff upper lip and causing scandal.
The descriptions of the scenery and characters captured my imagination and I was spellbound by the storyline. Highly recommended.
