The Vampire Blood series is probably the most interesting take on fairytale retellings that I have read thus far. I mean we have Arabella (Cinderella) as a vampire hunter, Sienna (Little Red Riding Hood) living in a magical forest with huge Hart wolves, and now Brennalyn (Snow White) as the adoptive mother to seven children. And when you pair these unique heroines with some uber yummy (and fangy) heroes, sparks fly.

I'm going to start with our hero for The White Lily, Friedrich Volya, Duke of Winter Hill, and cousin to Prince Marius from The Black Lily. We met Friedrich in the earlier books and I didn't expect him to be quite so deliciously flirty. I would describe Friedrich as a loving womanizer... he flits from woman to woman not because he is fickle or cold-hearted, but because he wants to avoid hurting any woman like his mother was hurt by his father's infidelity. I found him to be an admirable hero, and his salacious sexual appetite was lots of fun.

Our heroine is Brennalyn Snow, a rebel loyal to the Black Lily's cause. In a similar vein to Snow White, Brennalyn has seven little people to care for... but they are children of various ages and personalities. Brennalyn has an ulterior motive for being in Winter Hill, and she does not trust the Duke at all, despite being drawn to him. Brennalyn was not my favorite heroine of the series, but I did enjoy her care and affection for the children. Once she got over her judgey inclinations, she was a tolerable heroine and I enjoyed watching Friedrich seduce her.

The Black Lily and her cause are still going strong, but so is the Queen and her spreading blood madness. When Friedrich's uncle Dominick begins hunting The White Lily, it puts him and Friedrich in direct conflict and threatens to expose Friedrich's true loyalties. I like the overall series arc and conflict, and The White Lily helped to advance that. I wish the ending and plot conflict would not have resolved so quickly, as I really like the action and drama unfolding.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from the publisher, Entangled.

I was a little hesitant to pick up THE WHITE LILY after THE RED LILY. Book two just didn't draw me in like THE BLACK LILY did and I was nervous that book three would be the same way. Thankfully THE WHITE LILY left me wanting more.

I very much enjoyed Brennalyn from the start. I loved her independence, her fortitude, her heart, her spirit and her loyalty. Her children were just as likable and they fit so well into the story. Friedrich wasn't an instant like for me. I didn't dislike him, just didn't instantly stick out as likable. We did meet him in THE RED LILY and for some reason I pictured him as someone completely different than what he ended up being. He grew on me pretty fast and was definitely worthy of Brenna and her children.

The romance was fun. No matter how hard feelings were denied, the attraction and draw to each other continued to show strong between Brenna and Friedrich. Everything happened at a slow burn and that is how I prefer it. Even though the romance was the focal point of the story, the plot still continued the overall Vampire Blood mission.

The ending of THE WHITE LILY was great. I love that all the characters are together again and I hope we get some good stories out of them in the next book before they separate.

This was one of the better books I read this year. I liked the writing style, the mood and setting. I didn't read the second book because I hadn't realized I'd missed it, but thankfully I didn't need to have read it to enjoy this one.

The duke was pretty weird at first with his first impression being that of a lecherous vampire who enjoyed the warmth of various women. I think it only felt weird because it wasn't the impression his character had given me when it came to his POV, so at times I wondered if I missed something. Brenn seemed like a pretty strong woman, having taken on the rebel cause and her seven precious children. If there's one thing that did it for me, it was the children. I really loved them and how sweet they made the whole thing feel for me. Brenn and the duke's relationship was easy to get into, I especially loved the middle bit when everything got exciting. The ending seemed a little fast but otherwise I overall felt satisfied. It's a recommend if you love being tempted alongside the reluctant character.

I received a copy of this e-book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

King Dominick is out to crush the "Black Lily", a group bent on usurping his power. He is a mean and cruel man and Vampire and humans in his eyes are just food.

His nephew Friedrich has his lands and is investigating the rumblings of the "White Lily". The White Lily seems to want the same as the Black Lily group. He hates his Uncle because of his cruelness and only wants to live in peace. He hides his hatred and acts like he agrees with his Uncle.

He meets Brennalynn, the schoolteacher. She is a good, strong woman and has actually adopted the orphans in town, determined to give them the love they deserve. Friedrich knows Brennalynn has secrets and he is determined to find out what they are......

Will good win over the evil? Will the secrets and misconceptions come to light?

Friedrich is very attracted to Brenna but up until then, he didn't really know what was going on in his lands...on a personal level. When he decides to protect Brenna and her kid he will see life as it really is for these people.

He has always respected his people but never really gotten involved before. Brenna brings light to his life and a possible self made family. The way he opens up is really sweet, all the time trying to keep an eye on his Uncle.

The imaginative Vampire Blood series has just gotten better. This clever Snow White retelling is (so far) my favorite book of the series. Brenna and Friedrich are so hot together, and there are twists you will definitely not see coming.

The Story-
Brennalyn Snow is a school-teacher and has adopted 7 children. She is also a secret supporter of the underground "Black Lily" movement. While trying to gain information about the local vampire duke's loyalties, she unknowingly stumbles into his weekly selection of women who wish to be bleeders for the duke. Friedrich was intrigued by Brennalyn from the moment he met her, but her secrets make him want to know the woman behind the teacher facade in a way that surprises even him.

My Thoughts-
This story does an excellent job on building on the background from the previous books, but also deepening the world so that we have a greater grasp of the ramifications of the evil we've been introduced to. Again, the fairytale component is dealt with a light hand, never on the nose or what you'd expect. Cross is exceptionally good at adding the appropriate level of darkness and danger to her plots. Although you know it has to have a HEA, it is, at times, very difficult to figure out how exactly that will happen.
As someone who has struggled with infertility, I connected with Brennalyn and loved the emphasis on her personhood as a woman and how it is not inherently connected to being a natural mother. And, can we talk a minute about Friedrich? His character brings Cross's sexy level to a new stratosphere. But, it is totally appropriate to the story and doesn't feel forced or shoehorned in.

The Bottom Line-
If you like paranormal, historical, or fairytale retellings, I wholeheartedly recommend this series. It continues to get better, more dangerous, and more suspenseful, book by book. I cannot wait to read the final book in the series, but will be sad when it is over. 5 stars

4.5 stars--THE WHITE LILY is the third installment in Juliette Cross’s adult, paranormal VAMPIRE BLOOD romance series (formerly known as The Tales of the Black Lily series). This is vampire Friedrich Volya, Duke of Winter Hill, and schoolteacher Brennalyn Snow’s story line. THE WHITE LILY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty although I recommend reading the series in order as there is an ongoing premise throughout.

SOME BACKGROUND: The Black Lily is an underground movement that is attempting to take down the royal vampire family, and their army of Legionnaires who are obliterating village after village in a frenzied blood madness known as the sanguine furorem.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Friedrich and Brennalyn) THE WHITE LILY continues to search for supporters of The Black Lily, and to prove the existence of a new threat known as The White Lily. Brennalyn Snow is a human female; a twenty three year old schoolteacher who is the foster mother to seven orphans ranging in age from preschool to late teens. But Brennalyn has a secret identity that if revealed would threaten her life and the lives of the children she loves. Enter Friedrich Volya, the Duke of Winter Hill, and a member of the reigning royal vampire family. What ensues is the building relationship between Friedrich and Brennalyn, and the potential fall out when Brennalyn’s true identity is revealed.

Friedrich Volya is no stranger to the people of Terrington, a small village of humans under the Duke’s rule but Brennalyn Snow has caught the eye of the handsome vampire Duke-a Duke who is willing to do anything to make Brennalyn his mate and his own. Brennalyn knows that once her true identity is revealed, the Duke will have no choice but to punish the woman with whom he is falling in love. What Brennalyn doesn’t know is that the Duke is also estranged from the ruling vampire family-a family of murderous, power hungry vampires who are determined to destroy and control all of the humans.

THE WHITE LILY brushes and tugs snippets of fantasy ala Snow White and The Seven Dwarves with the inclusion of vampires, wolf-shifters, huntsman and poisonous fruit. Brennalyn ‘Snow’ and her seven little children will fall victim to the evil Queen, when a magical mirror reveals all to the other side.

THE WHITE LILY is a story of adventure; of action, forbidden romance and the ongoing war between human and vampires. The ruling elite are determined to control the embittered humans of the surrounding territories but some of their own are slowly taking up arms to battle on the side of The Black Lily against the family in control. The premise is entertaining and engaging; the characters are sexy, strong willed and charismatic; the romance is seductive, energetic and provocative.

Holy crapola! I’m not sure Snow White was ever this kick-a**.

The White Lily follows the story of Brennalyn, a single foster mother to 7 orphaned children. A dedicated school teacher she’s also a supporter of the Black Lily movement. There’s only so much she can do to help without actually knowing anyone in the movement, but she will anonymously spread words of encouragement and motivate the people to become part of the resistance.

Friederich, the Duke of Winter Hill, has been enchanted by the nosy school teacher, Miss Snow. At first, he doesn’t know if she’s part of the resistance or working for his evil uncle and trying to deem him a traitor. He certainly finds her intriguing and beyond beautiful. When her life is threatened it’s the perfect excuse to move her and her children into his home.

Once they realize they’re both on the same side, things become more and more dangerous and complicated when savage vampires start hunting for her alter ego. When one of her children gets taken, they must willingly enter into the mouth of the beast and try to save her.

With malevolent mirrors, poisoned fruit and the evil queen and all her followers there’s no shortage of action for this pale beauty and the dashing duke. Friederich and Brenna’s chemistry was crazy, their sexy time off the charts hot and the children, as well as all of the members of the Bloodguard, were fantastic.

The White Lily is a fabulous take on Snow White and I wish all fairy tale heroines were as kick-a** as the ladies in this series. Every book just keeps getting better and better. I would love for all of the guys in the Bloodguard to get their own stories, even if there are no more fairy tales to base them on. I just want moooooore!

Talk about underwhelming. I am so disappointed in The While Lily. I explicitly went out and bought both The Black Lily and The Red Lily so I would be able to read and review this with the full story in mind. I enjoyed The Black Lily and hadn't read The Red Lily by the time I started this. But if The Red Lily is as bad as this, I may just not bother.

It all starts with characterization here. Friedrich is a wimp. There is just no other way to describe him. The great Duke of Winter Hill is led around by his balls; he can't make up his mind to do anything, and if it weren't for his loyal guard and his valet Grant, he'd be completely useless. He's not even beta hero material. But, he is nice, and sweet, and totally in love with Brenna, and he loves children, and painting. Don't forget the art.

And Brenna, oh gracious, Brenna. She is simply TSTL. And so is her eldest daughter (and clearly future heroine in this series) Helena. The sheer number of times I wanted to bash them both upside the head was just too much. Personally, I wouldn't really have minded if they had truly paid the price for their sheet and utter stupidity. The Darwin Award would have gone over nicely here. Ultimately, their collective actions put a lot of people in danger.

There were strong overtones of a D/s relationship but it never came to anything. I was disappointed. Freidrich was clearly the sub (despite being the one to tell Brenna she had to give herself to him) because most of his internal dialogue matches what I am used to in reading about a male submissive - the putting her on a pedestal, goddess, take care of all her needs, live to serve her. Brenna wasn't taking up the Domme position though and that never got resolved.

Ultimately, this was wildly underwhelming and I'm not sure I'll continue this series.

The sexual tension between Brennalyn and Friedrich could have been cut with a knife and the culmination of their attraction happens under unusual – and very clever – circumstances. There are very interesting twists on Snow White. The descriptions are sharp and delightful, and the writing is, of course, stylishly elegant.

The White Lily is for all those girls out there that might not be good with a sword or have magic but they have a mind and a way with words and want to help to change the world too. The Pen can be just as mighty as the Sword and sometimes more so.

Juliette Cross’s Fairytale retelling with vampires continues with The White Lily. This is the Snow White version. Brennalyn does have a heart as pure as snow and she has taken in seven orphans to prove it. Barely into her twenties and a schoolteacher in a small provincial town Brennalyn is doing everything she can to help out the revolution against the Vampires. She might not be able to fight but she can turn a phase and so she is doing her part to put out fliers to help rally people to the Black Lily’s cause.

Fredrick is sure he is cursed due to the history of his family. His father suffered a brutal death at the hands of his mother.

The only way to dispel this dark enchantment—his family’s bloody history and his legacy of wickedness—was true love itself. Only a lady with heart and soul as pure as snow could break through the ice and awaken the duke to his destiny.

Fredrick never thought he would meet such a woman. He was sure that he would like his immortal life alone. The bewitching and exceedingly kind school teacher is exactly what he needs. Now he just needs to protect her from his curse, an evil Queen and his uncle.

I’m enjoying the Vampire Blood series. Each book builds on the others so I don’t suggest skipping. One of the things that I like the best about this series is that for the couples there is some friction in the beginning but usually they get together in a solid amount of time so that there is more time for rest of the plot arcs. The sex scenes are pretty steamy and Fredrick was exceptionally dreamy. I like that all of the heroines in each story have been really good at different things. The Black Lily is a fighter, The Red Lily has magic and now our White Lily has a printing press. It is great to show how each woman is strong in different ways.

I look forward to Sleeping Beauty’s tale since she is the first heroine to be a vampire. I’m not sure what Lily Color she will be but I’m pretty sure it will be fantastic.

***5 ‘Why Are You On Your Knees?” Stars***

Ever since getting that taste of Friedrich (who will from now on be called Freddy with the blessing of the author :D) in The Red Lily I’ve been doing my best to #practicepatience (badly) for his story, and though it took me a bit to finally dive into The White Lily, I was not disappointed in any way. Even with all the tension between the royal family and those who back the Black Lily, it was a fun read filled with moments that made my heart go all kinds of wonky and twitterpated, my panties melt (and amazingly had no moments that me want to give the author the evil eye) and filled with characters I want to spend more time with and was quite disappointed when there were no more words to read.

I absolutely ADORED Freddy & Brenna! Freddy may just be my favorite non-broody yet alpha AF male Ms. Cross has written to date. He’s sneaky, charming, commanding, dominate and oh my god smexy and then mix in his compassionate heart and simple kindness and you have a very lethal male on your hands. Brenna has that potent and intriguing mix of tender heart and iron will. She’s not afraid to jump into the mix and help out in whatever capacity she can, but she doesn't need to be the in the spotlight.

The chemistry between Freddy and Brenna was off the charts. It was seriously in that whole my my heart all kinds of wonky and twitterpated while melting my panties off chemistry (Honestly don’t even bother with panties). Even when they were dancing around each other with their “secrets” it was hot and then when they finally come clean and get to know each other without all the baggage they are both carrying around...it’s practically perfect. There is a bit of push/pull going on, but the angst is low, and I’m definitely not mad at where they were at in the end.

Part of my enjoyment of any story are well written secondary/supporting cast of characters that inhabit the world and Ms. Cross writes some amazing ones. Brenna’s children had me smiling, especially Izzy though Beatrice wasn’t far behind considering our shared hobby and Denny...Then there is Grant and the men in the Bloodguard. Let’s just say that I wouldn’t be upset at all if they all got their own HEA’s, whether it be in this series or a spin off. As for the direction the overall series arc is going, I’m really enjoying watching as everything unfolds and cannot wait to see what the next book in the series brings!

Loved it! The White Lily is a Snow White retelling with a vampire twist – beautifully written with a sweet romance, steamy sex, some heart-stopping moments but overall left me feeling warm & fuzzy with a sigh of contentment. A thoroughly enjoyable read!

I immediately connected with the characters especially Brenna, who has such a kind heart - she is a school teacher who takes in orphaned children and gives them her love and care. She is smart, well educated and harbouring a dark secret. Friedrich is the vampire Duke of Winter Hill – he is aware that she is hiding something and is determined to find out what it is, but he can’t help but be impressed by her spirit and love for her children. The writing is flawless and engaging, and the richly layered plot kept me turning the pages. There is plenty of action & adventure, political intrigue and some smoking hot romance. It is definitely an adult read due to the steamy sex scenes.

I am so pleased that my friends recommended Juliette Cross’s books to me. This is the third series of hers that I have read and am yet to be disappointed. I can highly recommend the Vessel & Age of Gray series as well as this one.

I am absolutely in love with this series! I remember reading the first one thinking it was going to be a simple fairytale retelling, surprised when it had paranormal content, and then pleased that it was so much more than I had ever dreamed. Now with this latest addition, I’m just plain antsy to find out how this drama is all going to end.

Brennalyn is the local school teacher but on the side she’s fighting for the resistance, which was started by the Black Lily, against the vampire monarchy. Putting her talents to use, she sets herself up as the White Lily to spread the word. The only problem is the Duke of Winter Hill who keeps constantly getting in her way.

Friedrich has been drawn to the allure of Brenna since the first moment he walked into the schoolhouse. He’s aware she’s been spying on him but is uncertain why and for which faction she’s doing so. If it is for his uncle, this could all go terribly wrong.

When their secrets are revealed and one of her children go missing, this couple’s relationship is fast forwarded in an effort to infiltrate their enemy. There is so much heat and chemistry between Brenna and Friedrich. Each of them having sworn off love and marriage, now they only know they need one another. In the middle of a war of good against evil isn’t really the best time to fall in love. Unless you have no other choice.

I loved Friedrich and his instant need of Brenna. Initially, he desires her as a bleeder and a partner to warm his bed. It doesn’t take long for him to want more from her as he recognizes her inner strength. Watching her with her children only makes him want her more. And oh man, when he interacts with the children, my heart melted. Careful ladies, it’ll make your ovaries explode! If you like your heroes possessive, protective and just plain jealous of anyone who looks at his lady, you’re gonna love Friedrich.

Brennalyn was an awesome heroine. Her strength never made her reckless, stupid or too much of anything. She was perfect in her love of hearth and home as well as her beliefs of justice for the lower classes. She stands up for what she believes in and is willing to do what is necessary to save those she loves.

I can’t explain how much I absolutely loved this book, this series. Each one is completely capable of standing alone. There is an overlapping plot that runs through them but even that is explained in each book without it becoming repetitive. However, I’ve fallen in love with each of these couples and I’m so anxious to get to the next one. Greedy, I know. But Ms. Cross has made me that way.

Compared to the others, this book was a little slow moving. Brennalyn was AMAZING! That name, can we all just say original together??? My imagination was ignited, the story was compelling, and the the Snow White spin-off was lovely! Very nice refreshing read!

Aye aye aye, Friedrich is not at all how I pictured him in book 1. Loosely based on Snow White, this Duke Charming is wild and possessive to Brennalyn's schoolmarm. Discovering who the White Lily is his primary focus but he finds himself being distracted by the captivating school teacher who hides behind her ugly grey dresses.

When his uncle King Dominik reveals his plans for the White Lily Friedrich is even more determined to find her before the king gets his hands on her. On realizing that it is Brenna, he whisks her and her melee of children off to his castle to keep them safe. Resisting her while having her under the same roof is next to impossible and both Brenna and Friedrich, find themselves breaking vows that they made to themselves when they realize the true depth of their feelings for each other.

Things are becoming more dangerous with Queen Morgrid and Dominik amassing their bloodlust infected vampire armies, but the Black Lily is getting stronger too with allies joining them in droves. Next up is Vilhelmina's story. Can't wait to see who she's paired up with.

Favorite of the series so far. I love how each book expands on characters we know and the relationships move to the forefront. Brennalyn was perfect for Friedrich he was masculine and alpha and her character complimented him rather than overshadowed him (like Arabelle and Sienna did in the previous books. The building sexual tension between the characters was written wonderfully as were the sex scenes. The sex scenes aren't repetitive in the series they are tailored to the characters personality in the book, so you don't get that insert tab A into slot B moment because you read it in the last book.
I own every book by Mrs. Cross and there's a reason for that (besides the OCD) the world building is excellent and the characters are always whole, even the secondary characters.

I was given an ARC for my honest opinion.

Book Three in The "Vampire Blood" series. This is the story of Friedrich and Brennalyn. Brennan is the local school teacher but she has a secret that she is hiding that puts her is very real danger if found out. Brennalyn has taken in some of the unwanted children who have become like her own children. Brennalyn's friend works at the Duke's house and one day while there 'talking' to her good friend, she looses her way and ends up in front of the Duke, Friedrich. Brennalyn pretends to be interested in being one of his blood women but he calls her out. Brennalyn then reports she wants the school to have a better stove. Brennalyn doesn't know if she can trust Friedrich and doesn't want him to know why she was really there. Friedrich knows that Brennalyn is lying to him but he's not sure if he can trust her. But he does know he wants her. This whole series has been great.

The White Lily was another compelling read in the Vampire Blood series.

I have to say I absolutely love the prologues and epilogues in this series. Ms. Cross writes such gripping and enticing, beginnings and ends, that I’m blown-away and hooked immediately.

This one is a loose retailing of the fairy tale, Snow White. Brennalyn Snow is a school teacher. She’s got a big heart, is a mother to seven orphaned children, and wants to aid the rebellion against the aristocracy vampires that rule over all humans. Friedrich Volya, Duke of Winter Hill is secretly helping the rebellion and has been keeping an eye on the raven haired school teacher for sometime now.

It took me a little while to get into this story. I felt the romance and plot where a little slow going, but once I got into the story, things moved quickly. A few things where easy to spot, but the danger was strong and enticing. Near the end we get a little surprise. Which made me giddy and shows that things will soon be coming to a head in the war against the crown.

“It was no longer a war of humans against vampires. It was a war between justice and tyranny.”

For the romance I wasn’t fully falling into it and I didn’t fully love it like I have the previous two couples in this series. Their romance was still good. The passion and attraction where their and very strong, but something was lacking with Friedrich and Brennalyn’s romance. I can’t put my finger on it, but I just felt something was missing.

As a last note, even though each of the books in the series are about different couples, the series is best read in order. There is a plot that continues thorough out the series and recurring characters.

The White Lily was a riveting read. I’m fond of Ms. Cross’s writing. She just has a way of pulling you into the story and characters and keeping you hooked. I can’t wait for the next installment in the Vampire Blood series.

The White Lily sizzles with passion and danger as humans and vampires both continue their fight against a mad queen and her desire to enslave the human race. While Brenna burns with a fiery righteousness and Friedrich is simply perfection.
With this installment to the series, Ms Cross brings us the Snow White fairy tale in Brennalyn Snow and her seven children. It took me a little while to realise the significance of this children but I loved it when I had that "ah hah" moment and it clicked. Then, of course, there was the poison apple and how Snow White needed to be revived with a kiss from her handsome prince. I had wondered how Ms Cross was going to portray that and let me say, without spoilers, it was brilliant. Tragic, heartbreaking, romantic, deeply moving.
The war continues to heat up between The Black Lily resistance and the ruling vampires. It was certainly very obvious when confronted by the evil of King Dominik and Queen Morgrid and the plight of the northern villagers who have been captured.
"One thing Friedrich knew for certain. While this bloody war may have begun by Arabelle and her peasant army of Sylus near the Glass Tower, it was no longer a war of humans against vampires. It was a war between justice and tyranny."
I have been intrigued by Friedrich right from the moment I met him in The Black Lily. I knew he was sympathetic to their cause and cared about the humans who were part of his responsibility. Friedrich is everything I love in a hero. Dark, intense, passionate, protective, possessive. Tender. I adored his pursuit of Brenna. It took my breath away. I got very cross with Brenna when she rebuffed him in the beginning and I was stunned by his patience and persistence with her. If I had been treated the way he had, I might have been a lot less amiable than he was. He stole my heart with his charm and his kindness. He is also stunning in his fierceness and his fighting prowess.
Brenna was a complicated heroine for me. I admired her for her ideology and her taking the risks she did even as she had seven children dependent upon her. She was brave when it came to doing what was right and when it came to protecting her children, but there was a moment with herself when it came to matters of the heart, she was a coward. I got so angry with her. But I also saw past my own anger to realise she had been hurt in the past and was only trying to protect herself from going through a similar pain again. I was glad to see her work past her own fears and trust Friedrich enough to move forward.
I enjoyed seeing Marius, Arabelle, Nikolai and Sienna make an appearance. It's like visiting with old friends. Ms Cross, thank you for that conversation between Marius and Arabelle. You know, the one where Marius is urging Arabelle to do something. That conversation made me so happy.
I also loved the introduction of some new characters with a more in depth look at Grant, Friedrich's human servant who is more than he seems, the Bloodguard, Mikhail and Dimitri. I want to see Grant get his heart's desire and I want to see a pairing between Dimitri and Helena. If you're listening Ms Cross, that's my Vampire Blood "wish list". I already know I will see more of Mikhail very soon and I can't wait.
Thank you Ms Cross. Another stellar addition to the Vampire Blood series. I am looking forward to the next book and the culmination of the war.

Received an advance reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is my first taste of anything by Juliette Cross and perhaps I should have picked up the first two books this before I ate this third book of the series.

This book did not disappoint me whatsoever. I absolutely loved the romance between Friedrich and Brennalyn. It wasn't rushed and certainly wasn't insta love. It was built from a friendship first and then came the romance. I really enjoyed that. So many romance novels have this and it is such a turn off. This one was so different.

I really enjoyed this book and enjoyed the story. It was refreshing and the male is so Alpha, the kind of male that would make any woman swoon.

If you want to read a book that has slow romance build, then this series is definitely for you.
