Mr. Ginsberg talks to us, at the beginning of this book, about starting the year off strong. He directs us to not listen to the reporters who tell us that most people do not continue with New Year resolutions after a few months. That being said, I do not feel you have to start these meditations on January 1st. He starts off each meditation with a comment such as "Keep Evolving." He then discusses this topic. Most are two to four short paragraphs in length. Then he asks a question of the reader. For the "Keep Evolving" topic his question is "How are you still growing?" I really enjoy this structure. Often we read topics and when we come to the end we just go on to the next topic. The structure of this books, I feel, deters that and make it all more meaningful. Since it is set up for 365 days, there is no reason to read more than one topic a day. Well, maybe if you miss a day you should catch up and do two on the next day. Also, with the question given at the end of the topic, we are triggered to stop and think about what we just read. Yes, this is based on "Hot Yoga" and I am sure, with that being so popular it will attract those devotees, but I feel we can all gain from this book. It does say "on and off the mat, so do not totally disregard this book if you are not into Hot Yoga. I am giving this a 3.5 star rounding to 4. I give very few books a 5 star review, so this is my way of saying, it is pretty darn good.
