I Recommend This Book

This was a fascinating book that I devoured in two sittings. Anyone who follows the news has heard about Lance Armstrong, his being caught doping, and the subsequent stripping of his record number of Tour de France wins. This book is a great behind the scenes story by someone who was there day-in day-out. Ms. O’Reilly was really brave to write this in light of Armstrong’s sue-happy attitude towards anyone who didn’t uphold the code of silence regarding the inner workings of the biking world, although ultimately Armstrong wrote a forward for the book. It’s a portrait of someone driven to be the best and damn the rules (that, granted, others were breaking as well). Well worth the read.
