Done Deal is a short novella to introduce the full-length novel coming our way in 2018. Not much happened in this book. There wasn’t even an introduction of the characters. A few discussions, then onto what the main subject was about. Then the book just ended. However, we did see that two of the main characters will have a long road ahead of them before the HEA. Otherwise, Done Deal put a whole new meaning to the phrase “Wham Bam Thank You, Mam” |
4.5 stars out of 5 stars This is so extremely erotic and sexual charged. It was intense, exciting, and off the charts passionate. I was invested from the beginning and filled with so much anticipation while reading because I wanted to know all about Trevor and Danielle. Hints and clues are given about their past connection during this very super intense sexy time scene and I swear I could feel their want and need. That need went beyond sex and by the time it was over and as hot as it all was, I felt emotional because I wanted them together. They get what they need in The Boardroom so it's a happily ever after for now but I am dying for more. It’s implied that the games between Trevor and Danielle have only just begun in the synopsis and I cannot wait! Why can’t they be together? What secrets does Danielle have? I have a million questions. So while I'm happy with this excellent introduction to what will be a very hot series thanks to this fast paced and extremely smokin’ novella, I can’t wait for more. This was so intriguing and I love the concept of The Boardroom. This is very much erotic hotness so be prepared. The writing was great and a nice story was laid. Besides the heat that makes you want a cold shower, there's real feeling building between Trevor and Danielle. The descriptions are fantastic, very detailed. You won’t be disappointed if you’re looking for a hot read. I don’t know if I’ve ever read a HFN ending so it kind of has me all over the place with how I’m feeling. It was awesome but I’m kind of dying and need more Trevor and Danielle. I guess that’s a good thing because I’m totally hooked. I thought this was fantastic! |
Done Deal is a prequel to the exciting new The Boardroom series by erotic romance author Lynda Aicher. A taste of what's to come in the erotic romance series where Bay Area moguls come together to explore their sexual fantasies without judgment. The Boardroom is a secret, members only group that was started by CEO Trevor James, who wanted to create a safe place for himself and others to indulge in their wildest, sensual fantasies. This was a great introduction to this new series, and I'm looking forward to reading the next book. Lynda Aicher is an exceptional author, and one of my favorite for erotic romance. Her stories are unique, the characters are terrific, lots of scorching hot intimacy, and the plots are always intriguing. I have no doubt that this series will be all that, and more. I highly recommend this book, series, and outstanding author. I have voluntarily reviewed this arc provided by the publisher via NetGalley. |
Done Deal by Lynda Aicher is 0.5 in "The Boardroom" series. This is a Novella with only about 56 pages. This book seems to set you up for the up and coming series that is to follow. A ground building type book. I know hope to read more of their hot story lines to come. https://twitter.com/soapsrus68 https://www.facebook.com/RomanceBookReview http://booklikes.com/blog https://romancebookreviewforyou.wordpress.com/ https://www.tumblr.com/blog/romancebookreviewforyoublog |
This novella is somewhat unique in terms of erotica. It has a promising start in that it takes place in a boardroom, which I think people normally associate with straight-laced business types. So, it's a good setting. The chemistry between Trevor and Danielle is definitely hot. The sex is explicit, with overtones of mild BDSM and group sex. I was a little disappointed that this was a teaser into the rest of the series. The dialogue doesn't always flow naturally, but we are discussing sex...so maybe it is a bit awkward even in fiction. It was a quick, entertaining read. I was just disappointed that it was so short. |
This reads like the beginning chapter in a longer romance. There is no HEA or even HFN. Instead, we get hints at the set up of obstacles between the lovers, and a lengthy erotic interlude in The Boardroom, which is a new series. The blurb hints at BDSM, but the erotic short doesn't deliver there. It's a group sex scene in an after hours sex space. But it doesn't feel like a group scene, really. It more feels like it's mostly about two people and the others fade away fast. Oh the angst! There is so much angst and very little context for why it is there. The angst out of context dragged down the eroticism for me as a reader, because it made it hard to connect with the characters. I was also hoping this would be a BDSM short, and was disappointed that it was so vanilla. It's one of those group sex scenes that feels more like it's about proving these two people should only have sex with each other. (That also seems to be the framework for book one, which centers a different couple.) Which makes it not especially hot or emotionally satisfying on the group sex front. I felt bad for the other characters involved. I find this kind of framework irritating and depressing. It is exactly the opposite of what I look for in romance or erotica that includes group sex. It feels like anti-polyamory propaganda. No resolve or even hint of a happy ending on the romance front, though it seems likely these two will have their own book eventually. (It's not book 1 though, so readers will need to be patient.) It also doesn't have an emotional arc that worked especially well for me as a stand alone story. This short convinced me that this series is not for me. It may however be for you, if you like your group sex very couple focused and full of angst and emotional pain. Trigger warnings: Sex that seems to mostly make the characters unhappy. Group sex where other characters are used as armor and obstacle and aren't actually desired for themselves. Hints about coercion and abuse from a parent. |
What a spicy intro to Lynda Aicher's new Boardroom series. The Boardroom -where inhibitions are left at the door and participants leave happily satisfied! Wealthy, powerful members belong to an after hours club, where sexual fantasies become reality! So it's not in a spicy sex club. This kind of spicy takes place in the office boardroom. After everyone goes home, the spiciness begins!! This is just a little taste of what happens within the boardroom when CEO Trevor James and Danielle Stables participate in the fun festivities of the night! Go ahead-indulge! What a fun read! My only downer-I wanted more of these two!! 5 Stars/4 Flames This book was gifted to me for a voluntary review. The review and ratings are solely my opinions. |

A short and somewhat bittersweet introduction to Lynda Aicher's new series. I can't wait to read more! |
This is the first book by this author that I've read and it definitely won't be the last. This is a very erotic short read. The story in this book sets the scene for the series. You get an introduction to the characters and a sneak peek at their story. This book will leave you wanting and needing more from the characters and this series. I cant to read more from this series and from this author in the future. Highly recommended start to this series I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book |

Short story. Very hot. Can't wait to read the first full story. |
Pushing papers isn’t the only thing going on in this Boardroom! Lynda Aicher’s Done Deal is a prequel of sorts to The Boardroom series. It’s short, spicy, and whets the appetite for more. There was such power in secrets. This short story sets the tone for the future series. There’s a lot more going on in Trevor James’s business dealings then just business—there’s pleasure too. One woman, in particular, catches Trevor’s attention, and they have a history that’s hinted at. And bonus? She's all game for some boardroom shenanigans. It’s such a brief story, but what we do see of Trevor I really enjoyed. He has this biting humor, but he also seems like a fairly no-nonsense guy (and he's in his 40s!) Danielle’s a supernova of a businesswoman who owns her choices, and with the backstory hinted at, I’m salivating for more. I love women on top! That said, I was a little confused exactly where this prequel is going, considering the first full-length book doesn’t deal with these two characters (or any introduced). I’m interested enough, however, that I’m definitely picking up the next book. Let’s see where these sensual interludes take us, shall we? 3.5 stars! |
I really had trouble getting into the book initially and the story was just implausible overall for me. It just didn't work for me. The blurb was great, but overall the book just fell flat for me. |
This short story takes steam to the sauna level. Trevor James is the high-powered CEO of a successful firm, but it's not what he wants. Pressured into power by his father, Trevor escapes the daily grind by indulging in a safe, sane, and consensual sex-positive sex group. However escape is impossible because of Danielle. The one woman he wants more than anything else, and the one he will never expose to the cruelties of his overbearing father. But at least here, in the Boardroom, he can get a taste of the dream. The sex in this is hot. Like scorchingly hot. I really liked Danielle and Trevor as characters. Trevor has the right balance of vulnerability and alphaness to make him likable. Danielle is has one of the best sex-positive attitudes I've seen. She knows who she is. She knows what she wants. But she's also got the tiniest hints of insecurity and yearning that keeps her human. The only thing that lessened my enjoyment is that I wanted more! LOL. This novella is a set up for a larger series and I'll definitely be interested in checking it out. Especially if they continue Danielle and Trevor's stories. It's a solid Four Stars! *** I received an ARC from the Publisher through NetGalley |
This is an erotic short story (13k words) that introduces the reader to The Boardroom series, a sex club centered on boardroom hijinks. There isn't a romance with an HEA in this one, though there are two people, Trevor and Danielle, who have a history and interact with each other in the group environment. They are clearly being set up for a later story (that I definitely plan to read!). There are 6 people involved in this very steamy scene played out in the boardroom at Trevor's company after hours. Nothing like an orgy nightcap! It's certainly an eye opening introduction to what will be a sexy no holds barred series. This review will be posted at sale sites during release week. It's been posted at Goodreads. |
This novella was very hot and not quite what I was expecting. Very cryptic. And this is definitely a lead in to this new series. I really enjoyed it. |
The only flaw in Done Deal is that it's a novella and not longer! |
