Dr. Elizabeth Parker lost her parents in a car accident and never wanted to experience loss like that again. As a result she began researching and testing a drug called Lazarus, which brought people back from the dead. She realized the drug was not ready for testing on humans when her test rats were coming back and had increased aggression, as a result, killing each other.

Elizabeth, fell for one of her patients Navy SEAL Sawyer Cage. He was someone she knew she should stay away from as fratnerization was frowned upon, but she couldn't stay away. She found herself wanting him more and more. Their supposedly secret relationship ended in heartbreak when Sawyer was killed on a "mission". She never expected to find him as the first test subject for her project, which she repeatedly told her "supervisor" that the drug wasn't ready.

For three months, she spent looking for Sawyer after he disappeared only to find him in the remote government facility. Sawyer had no memories from when he was alive, but for some reason he could remember that Elizabeth meant something to him. Sawyer is now stronger, faster, telepathic, and has reflexes and senses ten times better than the average man.

While Sawyer and Elizabeth are finding their way back to each other, something is going on in the facility and some of the subjects have a dark side. The subjects escape, but someone is after Elizabeth and Sawyer, can they figure out who it is before its too late and stop them from harming anyone else?

This was unlike any book that I have read by Cynthia Eden in the past. I have never been one for reading stories where scientists are doing experiments on people and/or animals. In a lot of ways the results remind me of the GhostWalker series by Christine Feehan, except for the whole bringing people back from the dead. At times I felt like the story dragged on, and at other times I wanted to know what happened next. Were these supersoldiers mad, or were they being controlled by another one that was mad, or was there someone that turned themselves? While I know who the next book is going to be about, I find myself on the edge about actually continuing the series. I typically love Cynthia Eden books, but there is something about this particular series that just doesn't grab my attention as they typically do. If you love her books as I do, I would like to hear your opinion on this series.

Cynthia Eden’s new series, Lazarus Rising was a must read for me. Her paranormal books are some of the best on the market so I was thrilled to see her take up the super-soldier mantle in Never Let Go. This first book builds the world and background for series. It also showed the previous connections between some of the characters.

This heart pounding action pack thriller is also a steamy romance between super-soldier, Sawyer and super-intelligent Elizabeth. The good guys are difficult to find with many having strong ties or shades of darkness, even without being enhanced. There were the usual misguided government fools but also several other twists that kept me reading until I finished the book. While Elizabeth and Sawyer’s romance is complete with hints of another one brewing there are more than one cliffhanger at the end. There are a couple of reveals near the end but also lots of questions as to who got out of the facility. This served to make me eager for the next book in the series.

I love a strong, dominant protective hero and Sawyer is all that and more! He’s a super soldier, enhanced, and gifted with special abilities that will enable him to keep his woman safe. But does she need to be protected from him?

While working on her Lazarus project for a secret government agency, Elizabeth falls in love with Sawyer. Their relationship must remain hidden and so they find stolen moments to be together. He is everything she never thought she’d want in a man and he belongs to her. Just as she belongs to him.

When Sawyer’s mission goes terribly wrong, Elizabeth faces the worse horror imaginable. Suddenly, her project is being fast forwarded and this book takes off like a shot. From that moment on there is no slowing down. The action is fast, the drama is high and the suspense is intense.

Through it all is the struggle this couple face as they attempt to hold tight to what they once had. Elizabeth’s greatest challenge, in my opinion, was learning whether she could trust Sawyer while discovering if he were the same man she once knew and loved. Sawyer is consumed with one thought. Elizabeth belongs to him and he must not hurt her.

This is an amazing read that will keep you on the edge of your seat while causing your emotions to riot. If you like your hero a little damaged even as he’s protective, jealous and possessive of his woman, you’re going to love Sawyer as much as I did. There were times my heart just hurt for him. I knew Sawyer would never deliberately hurt Elizabeth, but I wasn’t sure how far the darkness in him would take him down.

This is very fast paced story with incredible secondary characters and plenty of room for more awesomeness from this author. I loved this book and can’t recommend it enough!

Dr. Elizabeth Parker is working on a top secret experiment, the Lazarus Project, to bring people back to life. When she realizes that others plan to use the project for their own twisted purposes, Elizabeth tries to stop them but can't. Sawyer, a Navy SEAL and her lover, is the first target they choose to test her formula which hasn't been used on humans yet. This is a great romantic suspense novel that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Loved it!

In.freakin.credible!!! This book was awesome! The idea of bringing soldiers back from death and making them into super soldiers is just cool as $hit. Add in all the enhanced abilities and I was riveted.

This author is known for my kind of Alphas so it’s no surprise that Sawyer is getting added to my favorites list. He is such a badass that will do anything for Elizabeth. Even losing his memories when he gets brought back, he still felt the connection to her and did everything he could to protect her. I loved the idea of Sawyer falling inlove with Elizabeth all over again.

Elizabeth proved her worth when she fought so hard to free Sawyer. She may be the creator of Lazarus but it’s no longer in her hands and now she has to find a way to help Sawyer and the other test subjects.

This was such an exciting romantic suspense story that it had me devouring the pages. We also got to see a lot of Flynn and Cecelia who are the next in line in the series. Flynn has already proven he’ll do whatever it takes to keep Cecelia safe. There is so much potential for this series. I’m going to be waiting not so patiently for the author to publish each and every book she has plans for in Lazarus Rising. ARC provided by NetGalley.

[author:Cynthia Eden|153738] has written another 5-star read!

I plowed through this book in a single sitting - and now I am desperate for [book:Keep Me Close|36240717] to release. I loved the slow reveal of secrets; it built the suspense and kept me engaged. This gave me flashbacks of the show Dark Angel, which I miss so much.

A top secret government project, forbidden romance, secrets and lots of passion make this a must read. Read it; Love it.

Every time I hear a book of Cynthia Eden’s is coming out, a chill races my spine, goose bumps pay a visit and the anticipation of waiting, reading and enjoying her fast paced romantic suspense is an adrenaline rush of pure orgasmic pleasure.

Her latest and greatest series, “Lazarus Rising” will leave you wanting for more of the brilliant plot evolving around the super soldiers. First in the series, “Never Let Go” will defy the very adage of ‘till death do us apart’, as the brilliant and amazing Dr. Elizabeth Parker works on a formula that beats death, but at a loss of the only man she loves, Sawyer Cage.

Sawyer Cage was resurrected from the dead, becoming a super enhanced soldier. Betrayed by the people he works for and a life he doesn’t remember, Elizabeth Parker ignites feelings of hope of a life that was and can be now. Escaping the confines of the Lazarus compound, Sawyer and his friend Flynn will lay down their indestructible lives to protect the ones they love.

An impressive start to a new series, Cynthia Eden does not leave a chance to be disappointed with her latest release. It only builds the anticipation of what the future is going to be for these super soldiers, as they battle the dark forces. There are secrets galore, suspense and romance add a radiant intensity, and Sawyer and Elizabeth bring the fireworks with their glorious chemistry.

OMG! I don’t know what to write. I don’t want to tell to much and give anything away. This is one book that is a MUST READ. Super soldiers, scientists, and the Lazarus project.
Elizabeth is a scientist who is developing a serum hat can bring the dead back to life. Sawyer is a NAVY SEAL and does missions that are off the books. He and Elizabeth have been sneaking around and are both ready to leave their jobs. Elizabeth checks the soldiers before and after their missions but when something goes wrong, Sawyer and his buddy Flynn are killed. The other scientist injects them with the formula but it erases their memories.
After looking for Sawyer for months, the man who runs the Lazarus project needs Elizabeth’s help. Now she’s with Sawyer but he knows there is something about her that draws him. He and the other soldiers are planning to escape but he won’t leave Elizabeth behind. He starts to remember things and someone is determined to make them all killers. Elizabeth is Sawyers whole world and he’ll do anything to keep her safe.
Lots of action, suspense, and a couple of steamy scenes. WOW!

Sawyer doesn't like to leave his woman behind, “I will not be without you.” Low, rasping. “I will… not.” Elizabeth will not give up on her man, "his eyes blazed at her. “A good man,” Elizabeth whispered. “You are a good man.” I liked this book, and I'm extremely excited for the next in the series.
