Sakamoto blends Canadian history with magic realism in this book about an ambitious Japanese-Canadian hero who becomes a captain of industry and creates a real estate empire following the Japanese internment. This is an original and beautifully told story about discrimination and how it can inspire us to work even harder to succeed.
