Mad Morelands Collection Volume 1: Mesmerized\Beyond Compare\Winterset
by Candace Camp

Okay Perhaps many will disagree, however, I had to go four stars because of the versatility and difference in this romance. While, I find it a little out there in some places, it was a very different romance with elements I did not expect. I cannot say I loved it... but I can say I enjoyed it. So for a book to while away the time, buy this one. This was not the normal standard I expect from this author, normally she is five stars without trying. However, with this book, the plot the characters the mystery the mix of paranormal all make it an interesting read. I was given this book in return for an honest review. Anna Swedenmom

Paranormal is all the rage today and Mesmerized is a mix of historical romance and the paranormal. Olivia Moreland thinks of herself as a small brown wren who is set to discredit the current rage of mediums. Lord Stephen St. Leger needs her help. Both are interesting characters who share a link with the past. It was fun watching the two come to terms with both a medium who is a fake and the very real ghosts who are visiting both their dreams and theirs waking hours. I loved the ending to the ghost story and of course seeing Stephen and Olivia get their HEA.

I received a free copy of the book in return for an honest review.

The first in the Mad Morelands series. I enjoyed this historical romance. Great author!

I love Candace Camp's book and this one is no different and I am he'd over heels for it!

I have read books for the Mad Morelands series in complete disorder and I just love Olivia's story and pretty much her whole family.

Mesmerized is truly well written, entertaining and the characters are pretty much wonderful and I am not doing them justice using "wonderful" because they are all so much more than that!

Honestly, you just need to read the book and trust me on this, you are going to LOVE it and you will not regret it. Just in case you need another push from a die hard fan, I am going to very HIGHLY recommend it!

This Victorian romance started off so strongly for me: a woman trying to expose fraudulent mediums is exposed by an equally doubting newly instated Earl who mistakes her motives as being conspirator of the medium. Interesting! A topic I had never seen before in a romance and was super intrigued by! Unfortunately, the story proceeded to crumble for me. The dialogue and pacing were clunky. All the characters who are not pivotal to the story are flat and uninspired. My interest, so peaked in the opening pages, was completely waned half way through and I had to struggle to finish it.

It is impossible to not be engaged by the "Mad Moreland's" and their anti-ton behavior. This book brings together two very different characters who are after the same goal. All the Moreland's are involved and you will enjoy all the antics and updates on familiar characters.

Love Candace Camp books, haven't read one in years. Didn't enjoy this, liked the primes but it got a bit whoo whooie. All the stuff about dreams, I lost interest.
