I really enjoyed Alexander and Sabrina's story! Having lost her memory, Sabrina manages to find herself at the mercy of a stranger. Alexander feels a connection with Sabrina as soon as they meet and of course feels the need to help her figure out what happened. What ensues is a wild ride with many twists and turns.

I'm so glad that Camp came back to the Moreland family and I'm excited to read Con's story next!

I've always loved the Moreland family (Mesmerized, Beyond Compare, Winterset, An Unexpected Pleasure) for their egalitarian approach to people, their unusual interests, and their joy in life. Readers of the series have watched the twins growing up and knew if they ever got their own books they would be just as unconventional in their love lives as the rest of their family. Alex goes first, with characters in His Sinful Touch clearly setting up Con's book (His Wicked Charm out March 27). As in most of the Moreland series there is a touch of the psychic to Alex- he has a form of psychometry that allows him to gain information about people based on touching objects. But readers who aren't interested in a heavily paranormal theme will still enjoy Sinful and won't have to worry about paranormal elements overtaking the book. It's a genuine adventure story as Alex and Sabrina try to trace her movements and her past, discovering surprises at every turn while very naturally building the bond of friendship, respect, and love between them.

Alex and Sabrina are a perfect match right from the start. Although it might seem natural for Alex to shelter Sabrina and keep her safely locked up at home, he doesn't. From the beginning Alex proves himself a true Moreland, treating Sabrina as an equal and including her every step of the way. Sabrina has the backbone to demand she participate and even when she's being threatened she manages to stand up to the fear instead of hiding and letting Alex do all the work.

Readers new to Candace Camp don't need to have read the rest of the series to enjoy this latest adventure. Although the rest of the family make appearances and some events are mentioned, you don't need to be familiar with them to enjoy Alex's story (although it is fun for readers familiar with the Moreland to catch up with favorite past characters). His Sinful Touch contains all the elements of a first rate Candace Camp book: fast-paced action, sparkling humor, and perfect romantic chemistry. Brilliantly written and impossible to put down, His Sinful Touch keeps readers enthralled from start to finish and leave them eagerly awaiting the next book!

I didn’t want “His Sinful Touch” to end. The “Mad Morelands” are a delightfully unconventional family, with outspoken women, quirky men, and a sprinkling of mystical powers that come in quite handy when they encounter villains. Alex and Sabrina are a wonderful couple. They are bright, beautiful, and set off fun sparks as they try to unravel Sabrina’s loss of her memory. Con and Lilah must be next, and I can’t wait.

started reading Candace Camp a while back when I was first discovering my love for the historical romance genre. I can’t remember why I stopped reading this author. Seeing His Sinful Touch as a new release piqued my interest again. I’ve also been having historical romance withdrawals. I’m kicking myself in the butt for going so long without Ms. Camp’s work in my life.

I plan to rectify that as soon as possible.

Even though this book is the fifth in the Mad Morelands series, I was delighted to find that I could read this as a standalone just fine.

For you, my dear, I’d dare anything.

Sabrina’s lost her memory, and she finds herself outside an investigative company hoping they can find out who she is. After all, all signs point to her having run from something—or someone. Enter Alex Moreland. An architect who occasionally helps his twin brother solve cases with his unique abilities. But there’s also something drawing him towards the lovely, mysterious Sabrina.

That, and they say that once a Moreland finds the one, all bets are off.

The mystery element here was wonderful. I’m not usually drawn to the amnesia plot line, but this one grabbed at me. Sabrina's got a lot on her plate, and Alex has the staid, sensible feel to him. But he also has an unusual talent. He can touch an object and sense things from it. To say I was excited to see an extra paranormal thread is an understatement! How unique and fun.

“You’re a very odd man, Alex.”

“Ah, but how do you know? Perhaps I’m quite usual, and you simply don’t remember.”

Sabrina was simply delightful too! She’s got every reason to be scared—not remembering who she is, where she came from, or what happened to her. But she’s not going to let things continue to happen. She takes charge of her fate, and I enjoyed watching her and Alex figure things out.

There was also a lot of progressive talk in here that I LOVED. Alex’s mother and sisters are very forward thinkers who demonstrate for women’s rights. This story was very timely in the best of ways.

The family atmosphere and dynamic were one of my favorite parts, too. There’s no bad blood in the duke’s family of eccentric brothers and sisters, sons and daughters, and the love between them is alive and kicking. Such great dialogue, sweet tension, and a clever plot.

I was very much engaged in this novel, and now I need to go back and read the other four books.

4 stars!

The series is being relaunched and, although I read it years ago, I confess that I forgot some details of what happens.

Beginning to say that the Morelands are an atypical family.
They, each in a different way, have gifts. Grandmother Moreland, for example, would hear and speak with ghosts.
It's something very private that they keep to them.

This gift helps Alex and Con (Alexander and Constantine - twins) have a successful investigative agency, although in recent times, Alex has dedicated more time to his study and work at the Architectural Association. Being the son of a duke, many of his peers think they would be very important if they hire him.

His brother Con was about to make a trip to Cornwall and for some reason, Alex did not want to go. And soon after, he finds out why.
A young man appears in his office looking for help.
But in fact, this boy was a beautiful lady, who could not remember who she was; had some objects in her coat pocket and had marks on her body proving that she was probably running away from someone.
Alex understood that his life was linked to that woman, and from the information - the only one she had - that her name was Sabrina, she and Alex face enemies willing to do anything to destroy her reputation.

Meanwhile, Alex and Sabrina become closer...

Another book with the Moreland clan and their different way of being.

This was a fun mixture of a historical romance, mystery, and psychic powers novel. If you have read some of Camp’s earlier books about the wild and crazy Moreland family, you’ll enjoy this story of Alex Moreland. If you haven’t read the earlier ones, it probably won’t interfere with your enjoyment of this book.

I’m not as much a fan of the psychic elements of the book where the hero and heroine immediately feel some sort of mystic connection that seems to be the main motivation for their romance rather than emerging out of their characters as an ordinary romance. I think the mystery/thriller aspects would be better with their using their wits rather than Alex’s strange psychic powers that he seems to develop in just a few minutes to get out of a tough situation. But if that doesn’t bother you much, the book will be a fun read for you.

I was given a free ARC of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review

His Sinful Touch was a delightful read. It covered many categories being historical roamance with a touch of the paranormal. I enjoyed the main characters very much, Sabrina being a strong female character while Alex was loving and kind without being condescending . The plot caught my attention from the first and played out very well. All in all I enjoyed this book and will recommend it to others . Thanks to netgalley for giving me a chance to read this book.

His Sinful Touch was a wonderful historical romance with a slight paranormal twist about a heroine on the run from unknown foes and the hero determined to protect her.

As Alexander Moreland is leaving his brother’s office, a mysterious gentleman arrives seeking assistance only to be revealed as a woman in disguise and on the run. The woman remembers nothing about who she is apart from her first name, Sabrina, and she can feel she’s running from something but has no clue as to why. As Alex and Sabrina work to uncover her past, they grow closer to each other while what she’s running from begins to close in.

Sabrina, despite her memory loss, managed to get herself out of harm’s way and seek assistance to find out who she is and what happened to her. I felt that showed a great deal of inner strength and proved her to be a clever woman who had the potential to outwit her enemies. During the weeks she worked with Alex to uncover information, Sabrina showed she was a strong, level-headed woman who was unwilling to let others make decisions for her. After uncovering her identity, Sabrina does have difficulty reconciling who she is now with who she was before her memory loss which she eventually is able to work through with Alex’s help.

Alex is very close to all of the Morelands but is by far the closest to his twin brother Con to the extent that they know what the other is thinking or when they’re in distress. In addition to his twin speak, as him and Con call it, Alex also has the ability to sense things when he touches an object. In particular, strong emotions tied to the object come through the best. This ability puts him in a unique position to help Sabrina and he actually develops the skill even further over the course of helping her as he feels so strongly about finding out what happened.

Sabrina and Alex both feel an immediate connection when they meet with Alex feeling a remarkably similar connection to Sabrina that he feels with Con which is something he’s never experienced before. There is an initial hesitation in their relationship due to the lack of knowledge about Sabrina’s past including her marital status. When the relationship turns physical, there are several scenes where they give in to their feelings only to reign themselves in. Once they finally let themselves go, the scenes are quite steamy and very well done. Towards the end of the book, a bit of miscommunication does slow things down but thankfully that is resolved quickly.

Having only read the first book in the Mad Morelands series, Mesmerized, I did miss out on the other siblings’ stories, but I never felt lost. The author does a great job with the side characters and at showing you who everyone is. My favorite of the side characters were definitely all of the women in the Moreland clan. All of them are huge advocates of women’s rights and there were several excellent scenes where they put men in their place for trying to talk of women as the lesser sex or as property.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the touch of paranormal that showed up in the first book is present again here (and by the sounds of it, in all the other books as well). The addition of a paranormal element definitely sets this series apart from most historical romance books and it’s something I’m a fan of.

Overall, His Sinful Twist ended up being a great read and I look forward to reading the rest of the series soon. I definitely recommend this series for anyone looking for a more unique historical romance.

This book was a real page turner. I couldn't put it down.

When first I picked this book up, I didn't realize it was number 5 in a series. I really dislike starting in the middle of a series, because you miss a lot of things. I definitely have to go read the first four. The little snippets and hints about previous books were so intriguing! I'm officially hooked.

This story was fascinating! The heroine has amnesia, and can't remember a thing, but she is still a strong woman fighting for her independence. I adored her! The hero was protective, but willing to give Sabrina her space to figure her feelings out. It was so endearing. The hero's family was absolutely amazing. I fell head over heels for the Mad Morelands.

The characters are fully developed and well rounded. The plot was interesting and fully resolved at the end of the book. This was my first book by this author, but it will not be my last!

His Sinful Touch by Candace Camp
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A perfect fit for the Mad Morelands. Sabrina shows up at Alexander Moreland's office dressed as a man, does not remember her name or her past, and knows she is running for someone. Of course, Alexander takes her to stay with his family who join with Alex to help her find the answers she needs. This is a fun rump with all of the Morelands adding to the fun. Sabrina and Alex are great together and so another Moreland finds his HEA.

I received a free copy of the book in return for an honest review.

His Sinful Touch by Candace Camp is Book Five in "The Mad Morelands" series. This is the story of Alexander Moreland and Sabrina .
Sabrina has lost her memory but she knows that someone has to be after her or that she is running from something. Alexander has special ability that helps him understand things with just a touch and when he sees Sabrina he is drawn to her even when Sabrina is badly bruised and dressed as a boy. Alexander offers to help her which leads them into an exciting story.
Ms. Camp's book are some of the best that I read and is always me go to author for a good story!

REVIEW FROM BOOKS FOR HER:
There's something to love about action-packed historical romances - as Candace Camp does so well. Alexander Moreland discovers a bruised and scared stranger at his door. The beautiful, but clearly lost and confused, Sabrina doesn't remember anything - and only knows what she has on her and a feeling of fear. Following the few clues that Sabrina carries on her body, she and Alex begin to unravel her past and also an attraction for each other.

Always a good, reliable historical romance, Camp's latest in The Mad Morelands series is expectedly good. A Sinful Touch has just the right amount of passion, action, mystery and adventure to keep the pages turning fast.

When a woman arrives at Alexander Moreland's brother's offices asking for help, Alex is intrigued. So much so that he agrees to help the beauty himself. Everything about her is a mystery... she is bruised and beaten, dressed in a man's clothing and does not appear to know her own identity except that her first name is Sabrina. Alex takes her under his own wing and invites her to stay with him and his family until they get to the bottom of things.

Sabrina knows she is in danger. Too many signs point to her being on the run from something nefarious. Luckily, she stumbles onto Alex. From the beginning, she feels a connection with him. And it is clear the attraction is mutual, but first things first, they must work out the puzzle that is her past before she can focus on her future.

Thanks to author Candace Camp for this wonderful series titled the MAD MORELANDS. I loved the idea from the start. Each book continues to get better and adds something new to this eccentric, but delightful family. The most recent installment, HIS SINFUL TOUCH, is one of the younger twins, Alex's story and we finally see some light shed on things that happened in his past. HIS SINFUL TOUCH could definitely be read as a stand-alone, but I highly recommend reading the MAD MORELANDS series in order for the full effect. It consists of MESMERIZED, BEYOND COMPARE, WINTERSET, AN UNEXPECTED PLEASURE then HIS SINFUL TOUCH, which is one of my favorites. Historical readers are sure to love the MAD MORELANDS.

Let me begin by saying that when I saw this story listed next to Mesmerized (The Mad Morelands #1), I had assumed this was book number two. However, it is actually book number five in the series. And while I didn't have any trouble understanding the story, having read the first I do feel as though I missed out on quite a bit of story between the secondary characters (the other Morelands). This wasn't really a problem for me however, as I was still able to enjoy this novel.

This is also the second novel I have read recently in which the Heroine has lost her memory. Thankfully, it was done in a vastly different way than the other book I have read which only made this story more enjoyable.

Now, speaking just to this story, I loved it! I enjoyed watching Alex and Sabrina build first a friendship, and then a romance. As I've noticed with this author, all of her characters from the main, down to the secondary, each are well fleshed out and multi-dimensional. The story will just draw you in and keep you reading until the very end.

DISCLAIMER: I received a complimentary copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review. This has not affected my review in any way. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are 100% my own.

I love the Morelands! His Sinful Touch is about one of the twins, Alexander Moreland. When a young woman disguised as a man walks into Alex Moreland's office asking for his help, Alex is intrigued with her. She has suffered a blow to the head and has lost her memory. She is afraid and doesn't know why or who she's running from. The only clue is her locket with the name Sabrina on it. The more time Alex spends with Sabrina, the more he falls under her spell. Will Sabrina ever recover her memory? And what about Alex--is he falling in love with Sabrina not knowing if she's married or not?

I really enjoyed this book and especially all of the happenings at the Moreland estate. The secondary characters are so entertaining. I did love how feelings developed between Alex and Sabrina over a period of time and not at first look. The mystery surrounding Sabrina was well done and kept my interest to the end. Fans of Regency romance will definitely enjoy this one.

This was my first book to read in the Mad Morelands series and I loved it! Looks like I'm going to have to go back and get the rest of them. The good thing was, I didn't have to have read the previous books to keep up with the story, although each character's story was briefly mentioned here. I was worried that Sabrina was going to be a minor, weak character after losing her memory, but thankfully that wasn't the case! I always love a heroine with backbone and spirit! Alex was her perfect foil with his actions and how he treated her. I'll definitely be reading the rest of the series! Thank you NetGalley for the advance copy!

I really enjoyed this story of Sabrina and Alex. Without going into too much detail, the story moved along at a good pace. The mystery of who Sabrina was and why she lost her memory was unveiled over the course of the book. Alex has an ability he is still trying to understand. Sabrina is his muse into further discovering what he is capable of. The rest of his family are wonderful. I felt like most of the Morelands were a bunch of people I would like to get better acquainted with. Looking forward to the next book!
