This is the 5th book in the Mad Moreland series. Very good historical romance. Definitely recommended.

This was my first book to read by Candace Camp and being the 5th book in the series, His Sinful Touch was not one that I was able to enjoy. I'm a fan of historical romances, but the touch of paranormal / sci fi didn't quite sit well. Maybe if I'd read the series from the beginning it would have been easier to accept.

Oh those Morelands!

They are like friends that you can never get enough of and here we have Alex's story. He is with his twin brother the youngest Moreland and I am so glad we have his story considering they were quite young when I started reading the books in no particular order!

One thing you ought to know is that you can like me read the books as standalone, but they are far superior if you do follow the order because the family and their back story in general is just plain wonderful.

This is one of the few Regency series that I adore and come back to re- read from time to time because they are an entertaining and original bunch.

Ok I have expanded a lot and I did not dig too much in details, but the one thing you need to know is that this book is a safe bet! You have everything, adventure, mystery, romance and a pretty much eccentric family. What is not to love?

I will sum it up like this: VERY EXTREMELY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I was hooked from the start with "His Sinful Touch". Good solid writing by one of the queen's of historical romance.

Candace Camp writes delightful regency romances. This has enough suspense to keep you engaged and wondering if happiness will be found. The series is very engaging.

While no date is ever mentioned, this is very much a *Victorian*, not a Regency romance, with trains, other Victorian technology, Victorian fashions, and - yes - Queen Victoria. An era I love because everything was developing and changing so fast.
Dealing with that old favourite trope - “Romance Novel Amnesia” - your tolerance for a romanticised view of the condition will determine how much you enjoy this book. I was willing to overlook the unrealistic aspects of it to enjoy the characters etc.
This series is based around an eccentric aristocratic family. Again, your enjoyment will depend on how much tolerance you have for eccentricity and slightly non-historical leads and secondary characters.
There is a lot to enjoy here, and it’s nice to have more going on than the romance itself. I enjoyed the atmosphere the author created, and always enjoy a Victorian setting.
This wasn’t my favourite book I’ve ever read, but it made for a slightly different historical romance read. Candace Camp is well-established author for a reason.

Marvelous! Just like all the others story from Candace.
I always love the Morelands!. Seeing a grown up Alex being such a hero and his connection to Sabrina. Their love and determination. Cannot wait for more from Candace.

In this novel the romance takes a step back. The focus is on Sabrina and Alex investigating her past. Who is she ? How did she end up dressed like a man, in a train, covered in Bruise. The mystery was nice but the romance was very poor. Too bad because Candace Camp writes the best historical romance stories.
