So in this book we meet James and Noelle. I love that the female lead has a Christmas themed name. So this book starts with James's Company buying a toy store, where Noelle happens to be working. Then an accident means Noelle is stuck looking after James. From the moment these two meet there is tension and dislike, which can be a little bit comical in parts.
The best part is James has a brother and he has got his own story.

This was a really sweet holiday romance, I just loved a Christmas read and James and Noelle’s story did not disappoint. These two seen to be complete opposites but they actually have a lot in common they have just dealt with there past hurts differently, A really good feel good read would make a sweet movie.

5 Words: Christmas, family, tradition, community, change.

When it comes to Mills & Boon I'm a strictly Modern type of girl. Or so I thought. Because now I have read my first Cherish and I can't believe I've been missing out on such sweetness.

Christmas with her Millionaire Boss was a fantastic festive read. It had all of the feel-good, cheesy joy of a Hallmark Christmas Movie and it was a delight to read. I kind of want to read it again already! It has put me right in the mood for Christmas.

Noelle is just adorable. She is so full of Christmas, despite a name which you'd think would lead her to hating the season. She loves the joy and the love, how families are brought together, and all she wants to do is share it with everyone. She is so resilient, and I loved how she fought her own internal battles with her emotions and feelings of guilt and obligation.

I loved James as well. He was pretty much your typical rich Scrooge type, but he had lots of layers and his own background to battle against.

Add in some misunderstandings and you have a cute and Chrismassy read, and I loved it.

Noelle Fryberg loves Christmas but she feels like everything is changing. With her husband and father in law gone, her mother in law has decided to sell the family toy emporium and retire to Florida. To make it worse, it’s been bought by the annoyingly handsome James Drummond. And while he clearly knows what he’s doing when it comes to profits and bottom lines, he’s definitely lacking in the spirit of the season…but is his lack of apparent joy masking something else?

I absolutely loved this book, and didn’t want to put it down. Noelle was adorable from the start and James, although cool to start with, soon works his way in to our hearts, especially as his backstory begins to be unravelled. Being from the Cherish stable of Mills & Boon, it’s very much a ‘closing the bedroom door’ style story but lacks nothing for that. It’s fun, gorgeously festive, and lovingly romantic!

I have been seeing plenty of Christmas themed romance lately and so when I saw this on the Mills and Boon Insiders list of ARCs I thought perfect. Millionaire romance set at Christmas? Sounds like it should be fun with a touch of heart-warming thrown in. It definitely met expectations unlike Acceptance. It was Christmassy and heart-warming and totally predictable. I kind of needed that, because romance is always predictable but I kind of wanted it to surprise me in some way.

Noelle is the woman who loves Christmas and loves working in a place where it is Christmas everyday providing toys and joy for children. So, when James Hammond comes along buying the company and possibly threatening the comfort she has had in the small-town she has lived her whole life you just know she didn’t give him a warm welcome. She is happy in the spot she’s carved for herself and she doesn’t have time for Grumpy Hammond glaring at folk and threatening to change store traditions. She hopes to get rid of him as soon as possible and then a drone in the shop gives him a concussion and forces him to stay. James Hammond wants out of Fryberg as quickly as possible. He doesn’t like Noelle and he hates Christmas, even if he runs a very successful toy store chain. When he’s forced to spend more time then expected with Noelle, though… well, the two end up growing close and the pesky attraction gets in the way.

I admit, it was predictable, there was the usual not wanting to be together. They get together, then there’s a whole thing where one of them has a crises and flees which leads to misunderstandings which keep them apart. Then they eventually get their happily ever after. I liked them as a couple but they definitely needed to have a few pages for me to really grow attached to them. The biggest flaw outside of predictability was that the characters never felt fully real to me. They needed a bit longer to develop and get together and may have enjoyed it far more.

A good festive read which could have been great but was just enjoyable and a good way to spend an evening.

I received a copy of this book from Mills & Boon/Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.

I adored this book. I love Christmas & stories set around the Christmas period, This was a perfect Christmas read. Both James & Noelle had endured sad childhoods but this story allows them to shed the past & embrace a happy future.

Would definitely recommend the book.

I'm a big fan of Christmas, its my favourite time of year. It must be awful to have something traumatic happen during that time. It will always taint the season. When James was a young boy his life was forever changed. His mother took his brother and left James behind. James's father isn't the most forth coming with his feelings. Its had a lasting effect on him, now he is a workaholic who hates Christmas. James's company takes over a business where Christmas is a big deal. While on a walk though the business James meets Noelle who is the polar opposite of James. Loves Christmas with a passion. James can't wait to get out of there. Until a drone is accidentally flown into his head and he ends up with a concussion. Now he is stuck in a town that goes all out for the holidays. I enjoyed this story. In my opinion its about two people who were searching for something, only the other one could give them. ARC received from net galley and Mills & Boon. In exchange for an unbiased review.

This book is just perfect for reading on Christmas Eve when all the preparation is done and it’s time to sink into a bubble bath or indulge in marshmallow-laden hot chocolate (or something stronger!). The plot is fairly simple and the characters not complex but it is the all-pervading spirit of Christmas that makes it so enjoyable. A light and heart-warming read.

Noelle and James have had difficult childhoods. This is a story about letting go of the past and embracing the present and welcoming the future. Noelle has to deal with her feelings of guilt when she finds herself attracted to James. Whilst James has been hurt by his family and finds Christmas a particularly difficult time of year. The story is well written, and does tackle the emotions that the characters go through. It is a gentle read, both Noelle and James were likeable characters and I enjoyed the banter between them.

Naughtiness 3*

Fantastic read, Barbara is a new author to me and I absolutely loved reading it in fact read in one go. This is truly a beautiful story in which we see magic of Christmas in one of its truest forms.

As always with me I never give spoilers, though what I can say is that you connect with both our hero and heroine very quickly. Both have heartbreaking history, but on their journey we go though a roller-coaster of emotions thoughts and feelings with them from heartbreak to joy. This truly is a book of the magic of Christmas coming together with love to be the most magical medicine for them.

Thank you Barbara for writing it and Mills and Boon for offering me the chance to read it.

Awwww ....I wanted the story to carry on it was beautiful.
Heartwarming Christmas romance where two unlikely people find love at the most magical time of the year Noelle and James , James being the grinch and Noelle a modern day Mrs Claus.
I had a giggle and I had a cry and then it was back to being all warm and cosy inside.
A truly wonderful Christmas romance .
