He is a good kid and wants to do good and keep Sleepy Hollow safe The characters are cute and you will really like them and cheer for them .
They call this a graphic novel but i call it more a comic. It is great for your middle school kids its not that scary . The drawings are great and the author takes us on an adventure through the streets of Sleepy Hollow. It is a cute twist on the legend of Sleepy Hollow . This would be a great addition to your kids reading challenge this summer . Check it out

Alas, Sleepy Hollow, Headless Horseman, what have they done to you this time? Just when I have begun to fall in love with those two elements and decide to give a chance to a graphic novel aimed for children with a twist, it turns out to be an almost total disaster. Created by Mark Andrew Poe,‎ adapted by Joyce Magnin and with art by‎ Rebecca P. Minor, Snowman is hard to like or even tolerate.
I wouldn’t have any problem if this was an independent project from someone who had just started building a name as an illustrator, but coming from what seems to be a solid series with what I assumed was a solid fanbase, that’s not what I expected; yet, we all know that independents have done and keep doing great work.
It’s a shame that a story with potential has this kind of art, I really expected way much more. I may be picky and know nothing about the standards the industry works with, but there must be something wrong if such art was ever approved. Prepare all your will to finish this book if you start reading it.
I can only hope that it doesn’t happen again.

I enjoyed the book but it wasn't exactly what I hoped for. I definitely think that people will love this but it just wasn't for me

This is a really cute adventure story. I read it with my 9 year old and she loved it.

This comic seems to be part of a series - one I've never heard of before. The main character is a boy named Harry who has magical powers. His sidekick is a talking rabbit. They both live in the town of Sleepy Hollow and have to fight against the mayor who seems to serve the devil. In this case, the mayor plans a special snow sculpture (I'm sure he meant ice but when the plan was revealed they actually talked of snow) in the shape of the headless rider. But then stuff goes wrong, just like Harry knew it would, and the town needs saving.

I must say that I was not really impressed and even skimmed parts. I know this is for younger readers but that doesn't mean a writer should just mash together some standard tropes. We have a place that is well known for magic and evil (Sleepy Hollow), which actually is what made me decide to read this. We have a boy with "a shock of black hair" (really?) and some magic powers, named Harry of all things (seriously, why does it always have to be Harry?). The rabbit was kind of funny as an idea. Of course, the mayor is the evil one, seeking more and more power etc (even the name is kinda lame). And there is a bully in school who kinda torments Harry but also kinda wants to be his friend on some level.

The art, too, was not to my liking. Weird proportions and the style itself was neither pretty nor distinct (I can forgive not liking art if it at least has an edge).

All in all quite disappointing and bland.

After receiving multiple books in this extensive franchise the publishers had labelled as graphic novels when they were anything but, I finally get an actual comic title. And you know what? It's still not much cop. The story just plods on, leaving the tenth-rate Harry Potter kid in the background too much as he waits to see what latest evil is happening to his Hallowe'en-themed home town. The narrative shows poor editing in its flow, as well, so one page can seem to repeat the one before, or have jumped a couple of spreads. I'll be kind and give it two stars for a distinctive (if not completely pretty) look and reduced palette, but as a read this is as disposable and uninteresting as the main novels. I certainly don't intend to come back for more.

I don't like the drawing so I can't appreciate my reading. I can't finish him. The story must be great but for a graphics novel the drawing are very important.

'Snowman' by Joyce Magnin with art by Rebecca P. Minor is based on the Harry Moon characters created by Mark Andrew Poe. Harry is a young magician who lives in Sleepy Hollow with his friend Rabbit, a talking and sometimes invisible rabbit.

Mayor Maximus Kligore is not a nice guy. That is why he is hanging out in a graveyard in the dead of night trying to get a spell to work. He leaves in frustration, but he has unknowingly unleashed something from his past.

Meanwhile, Mayor Kligore has decided to recreate the town's headless horseman statue in a giant ice statue. That and his strange magic dabbling has Harry and his friends worried about what will happen next.

It seems like an interesting premise, but it's just not a very good story. It's brought down by the art which is pretty mediocre. I sometimes had a hard time telling some of the kids apart.

I received a review copy of this graphic novel from Rabbit Publishers, Diamonds Book Distributors, and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this graphic novel.
