This is book was confusing at times and caused me to have to read and reread parts to try to make sense of what the author was talking about. Some aspects are far fetched especially with Brent being able to up and leave His business at Christmas Falls.

This is was a cute Christmas story and a quick read. I had a hard time with the prologue and the first person POV, but the rest made up for it.

I have enjoyed this heartwarming christmas novel. Looking forward to read the rest of the series.

7 friends + high school + pranks + one leaves suddenly without goodbye = 8 years of no connection. Till the energy of the group, Ashley comes back to the town of Christmas Falls and sees the businesses dying out and their community centre shut off. Then begins the plan of recapturing the old magic of Christmas Falls... 

The author, Ciara Knight, has written a feel good romance with the magic of Christmas spirit in a town called as Christmas Falls!! How can the story go wrong anywhere... 

The main character, Ashley is well etched, she is a fun spirited prankster who leaves home suddenly without saying any goodbyes, makes a name for herself in her business, and comes back on the letter of her old music teacher. Her Prince Charming, Brent, is ready with open arms to see where the relationship goes. The rest of the friends do join in but this book is basically Ashley's story. 

The story has a fast pace, no deep thinking required, and works well as a short Christmas story. The supporting characters are great but not well developed. Everybody is good in this book, no villains, no complications. 

There are a few niggles, the reason why Ashley leaves home without telling anyone feels very flimsy. Her relationship with her parents which was non existent for years gets remedied in a couple of pages. I wanted more emotions, real emotions, not just the feel good factor.

On the whole the book works well as a short Christmas romance and leaves a warm feeling...

This book could be made into a Hallmark mini series movie event. It's sugar and sweet and has the perfect amount of conflict, resolutions, mistaken information and it's all for the greater good of saving Christmas town. Ashley and Brent are super cute together and all the cuddling and sneaking in a kiss here and there is so sweet. Their master plan to open a business together and save the town hall comes at a cost but is it worth the price to pay to lose the relationship they have just created? It really is a sweet story.

Really great Christmas story right in time for the holidays.

I read another Christmas Falls story and I think I will buy the others, they are a light hearted reads and guarantee HEA.

This is the first book I've read by Ciara Knight. The cover is cute and the title is perfect for this story, about a woman named Ash who comes back to her hometown of Christmas Falls, TN, after being away for 8 years. Ash has a lot of relationships, and while the origins and reasons for estrangement are explained, some of the reunions are brief or only mentioned. She returns to town at the request of her former, beloved music teacher, but dreads reuniting with her parents and high school friends. Most of the focus of this book is on Ash's relationships with her mother and high school crush, Brent. I thought the scenes with her mother were well-developed and realistic. The back-and-forth with Brent, less so. I love the general plot of this book, the idea of reconnection and coming home to friends and family, and the mountainous Tennessee setting. Although the romance seemed fickle and rushed, I'll probably read book #2 to read more about the town and Ash's high school friends. When I first cracked open Homecoming in Christmas Falls and saw that it was written in first person, I nearly closed it right away. It’s just a personal preference of mine, but I have a hard time enjoying stories written this way, but I was SO curious about the story that I pushed past the first chapter and then the second, and soon I was wondering who’s story would be next.
Ashley was a bit of a wild child back in the day, not reckless or even destructive, just energetic for a small town girl who never fit in with her family. Though this is a love story, I really enjoyed watching Ash reconnect with her parents, who she’d always viewed through the eyes of a hurt teenage girl. But nearly a decade apart can change things. Change people and their perspectives. This part of the storyline really enhanced the overall Christmas-y feel of the whole story.
Now Ash and Brent. Ash, despite her gregariousness as a kid, had some self-esteem issues and thought she would never be good enough for the town golden boy, Brent. She thought he’d be better suited—and was already interested in—one of her besties, Piper. So after THE EVENT, she packed up and left town never to return.
Until this year when her teacher, mentor and surrogate mother calls the girls home, setting the stage for the whole Christmas Falls series.
Now that she’s a successful business woman with a clear vision of the past, Ash wants to help the town get back the magic it used to have. She’ll put her business sense to good use, along with Brent, to make the place truly fantastic again.
But this is a romance and Homecoming in Christmas Falls wouldn’t be complete without talking about these two. From the moment they appear on the page together, sparks fly. Brent is gorgeous and sweet, an irresistible combination that Ash succumbs to pretty quickly. Instead of being scared as she’d always been, Ash dives in and lets him know how she feels and her plans for the future.
Then it’s Brent’s turn to chicken out and go running. I was upset with him, but Ciara Knight created really beautiful drama with this part of the story. You could feel Ash’s pain and wanted to do serious bodily harm to a guy that seemed pretty damn perfect…until this moment. But I loved that it allowed Ash to see how strong she really is.
This was a really good read. It was cheesy and sweet and fun and filled with over the top Christmas, and none of that took away my enjoyment of this story.

The story reminded me of Willa Cather is the way the author immerses the reader into the thought process of the main character, Rose. Rose has always felt Luke an outsider in her own family, being the middle child, she was often forgotten about by her parents. I could relate to, Rose, due to I always felt my family thought I was not worth their time, often times feeling like I had to prove I was good enough. Rose has come back to her home town and is afraid no one will want to see her. She is arrested for speeding, and when the officer runs her licence and finds that there is a prior ticket that was not paid. She is released to the one man with whom Rose has always lived from afar. She can not tell him how she feels, due to she feels that she is not good enough.

Homecoming in Christmas Falls is a sweet, lovable Christmas romance to curl up with. I enjoyed this story Brent and Ashley were great characters and when they need to work together to save their town the magic shines through their interaction. I look forward to reading more of this series.

This was a very sweet story. Ashley had left town after a high school prank went wrong. No one was hurt, just arrested. She left without saying goodbye to anyone. Eight years later, she returns because a favorite teacher requested it. The teacher was not well and wanted the 7 girls to sing one more time together. Still in the small town was a man that she had liked as a teenager. She thought he was with someoe else but he wasn't. She had a thriving business in Key West and only wanted to stay the shorted time possible, but things changed rapidly., I liked this story It was about misunderstandings and realizations as an adult. Very nice. I got this book from NetGalley for an honest review.

I always enjoy Ciara Knight’s heart-warming love stories. Homecoming in Christmas Falls is definitely that. I want to thank the author and Net-Galley for the opportunity to read this delightful tale.

Homecoming in Christmas Falls is the first book in this series, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The characters are real with flaws, especially the heroine, but that just makes her more endearing.

The premise for this story is intriguing, so I enjoyed the plot a great deal. If you like Christmas tales that will put joy in your heart, then you will love Homecoming in Christmas Falls. Happy reading!

This is a sweet and clean novel, with no cursing and no sex. If those things bother you, there's nothing to worry about here.

I liked this story, but it read more to me like a young adult book than an adult contemporary. The author has a lot of potential, but I'm not sure this one just didn't hit its marks for me. For a book that was pretty good length and was busy the entire time, it felt like very little actually happened, if that makes sense. Although I LOVED the story arc about Ash and her mom's reconnecting and the way she learned about her mom as an adult, that made the fact that she and Brent never really got to know each other as adults even more glaringly obvious. As nice as the ending was, I have a hard time buying into their happily ever after.

Although it wasn't my favorite story, it was a nice starting point for this series and I look forward to the other books to learn about the other girls from the choir.

Unfortunately, I made the decision to DNF this book at 30%. The writing wasn't working for me and I wasn't connecting to the story or characters. I expect some mistakes in an ARC, but I counted at least five instances where a period was left off a sentence, and there were other mistakes that interrupted the flow to the point I had to set it aside.

I won't be giving this book a star rating on GoodReads, but since Netgalley now requires it, I'm going middle of the road.

I couldn't finish this book. Aside from the typos and grammatical errors, the story was so meandering and full. I read another Christmas Falls book and it wasn't this bad.

I received this book for free for an honest review. I went into this book thinking it was going to be a light hearted Christmas book that would be similar to a hallmark movie. Something light and sweet that leaves you feeling the Christmas spirit. The synopsis talks about how this book is about Ashley and Brent and heir relationship. While this is partly true, I didn’t buy in to their relationship. The book starts off with Ashley and 6 of her friends singing at a Christmas pageant. I feel the author tried to build too many relationships between the main character and other supporting characters. If this book was longer, it might have been able to pull it off.

Things I liked:
-Ashley and her mother overcoming problems in their relationship.
-Ashley finally growing by the end of the book. (I am a big sucker for character growth and most of the beginning and middle I was annoyed by how immature and selfish Ash was.
-The idea of Christmas Falls.

Things I didn’t like:
-The romance. Now don’t get me wrong, I love a good romance book. I love high school crushes turning into real love in their adult life. Sadly, I feel the author rushed the relationship and added in drama for no necessary reason. Brent had no idea who Ash was as an adult. They never really reconnected.
-I didn’t like how we barely saw Ashley with her estranged friends. Maybe that is because they each have their own books, but the few times we did see her with her estranged friends it felt stilted.
-I wasn’t satisfied with the ending,

With that being said, looking on Goodreads I am in the minority of not thinking this book is amazing. I think this author has talent, she just needs to flush out her characters and make sure she doesn’t have too many plot points.

I thought this was an okay story but I didn't ever fall in love with the characters and I felt it hard to connect with anyone in this story.

This is a very sweet, heart-warming, Christmas romance - you know, the type they show on a Hallmark movie. I always enjoy reading this type of "happy ending" book around the holiday season. It helps the holiday spirit. In this one, Ashley comes home to Christmas Falls after being away eight years because her former music teacher asked her to come. Her friends she had a "forever friends" type of pact with have scattered to different areas, but her parents are still in Christmas Falls and the guy she had a crush on all through school is still there and single. This is the story of Ashley's homecoming.

This was a very short read and I liked it. It was, however, totally predictable - no surprises here, but that's true of most Christmas stories, and sometimes that's just what you want to read, or I do anyway.

Your going to fall in love with the Christmas falls books and series after reading this one and the another books. One of my favourite Christmas series so far of 2017. Would recommend going out or online and ordering the whole series at the same time. You won’t regret it I promise you that as this book had everything you could love in a Christmas romance story.
