I liked a lot of this book, the friendships and the setting, the romance between Mack and Wes, the historical element and the mystery of the ghost town.
What didn't work for me was the odd daddy/boss element of their relationship. It didn't feel like any kind of daddy/boy relationship I've read elsewhere and there was very little in the way of submission to justify the "boss" label being added.

Other than that, this had a lot of good things going for it and I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

I really enjoyed this story. It had everything I needed to make it a great little read for me...especially the cowboys who came from a very different background...one that gave me nice visuals! I liked the story between Mack and Wes..but I also really liked the relationships between the friends on the ranch. it gave an extra dimension to the story...and opened up my need for the next book..like now
