Suzannah Showler's slim yet entertaining tribute to all things Bachelor Nation is a must-have for any Bachelor fans. Whether you watch the show "ironically" or sincerely, there are elements of The Bachelor's tried-and-true formula that deserve consideration—and Showler delivers on that. Writing about the show's treatment of sex, race, and gender, she delves into what makes it so engrossing and what it says about how we think of love and relationships.

If you love The Bachelor, Bachelorette, Bachelor Pad or Bachelor in Paradise or any or all of them , this book is for you. An in depth history of the franchise and its spinoff it is both a gossipy history of the show(reading it brought back memories of crazy seasons past) and a serious study of why the Bachelor has remained on the air for almost sixteen years! Totally enjoyable.
