Very good book. Loved the love stories within the book. Defiantly will red other stories from this author.

I really enjoyed this book. A lovely read for a cold Sunday afternoon. You follow the story of an artefact rather than a person. I loved the history of the locket and how it touched so many lives.

Successful café owner and bargain hunter Rachel enjoys the challenge of finding objects that are inexpensive and charming enough to use as décor for the café. While attending the local boot sale, she asks about a box half hidden under a table, and is delighted with both the price and the visible layer of merchandise. Reaching the café a bit late, she is surprised to find an unfamiliar young man behind the register, and her aunt Mo rushing around the kitchen in an effort to fill the orders. Rachel is stunned to receive a note from her long-time boyfriend that he is leaving her for someone else, and she moves through the day on auto-pilot. When Rachel looks though the box, she discovers a locket, beautifully detailed, with small drawings of a man and woman.

Though I’m not usually a fan of short stories, The Locket kept me interested throughout the journey from person to person. I enjoyed the strong characters, able to accept and overcome heartbreak and continue on in the face of difficulty, and the clear descriptions of the setting made it easy for me to imagine.

Thank you to Netgalley, the publishing house and the author for the opportunity to read this book in return for my honest opinion.

When I requested Facebook, I hoped that it would be a sit by the fire with hot cup of tea book. I was not disappointed.

This was such a great book, it was a wonderful romance, that takes place over different generations and different times with one thing in common, the locket.

When Rachel is leaving a garage sale and pick up a box of assorted things in it she finds this locket with pictures in it, and the story just goes from there and tjis lovket touches so many people. It was just a lovely delightful story to read especially at Christmas time; it left me feeling good.

I really enjoyed this wonderful story about a locket and the lives that are touched by it through generations. Some had romance, some had laughter and some had saddness. It was a touching story that I would recommend. Very well written and thought out.

I was given a arc by the publisher in return for a honest review.

This novel takes us on a trip through the years following the journey of a beautiful, unique locket and the people who shared it.
I enjoyed the stories of the many women who had it in their possession and how it came to the present day from a car boot sale, lying in a box.
It started in the 1880's ,and because of it's beauty, was acquired by different women with different stories as the years moved forward.
This has romance, heartbreak and love in this novel and it was definitely a good read!

The Locket takes you to the lives of different people it has touched. The story starts from a child born out of a love affair and travels forth. However,I did not find the story very captivating. There are times when the characters and events become jumbled up and sometimes too descriptive also. I had to try hard to finish the book as it lacks novelty and depth. I think the characters need more work and dialogues should be little intriguing and thought provoking. I rate this book as just OK.

This story is about a Locket that has travelled to people and times, at the beginning of the story Rachel buys a box at a car boot sale and inside she finds a Locket with pictures inside. Her love life has just taken a turn for the worse and she takes comfort in her little café with her Aunt.

The story tells us about the travels of the Locket and the people it resides with over the years, both heart warming and tragic.

The story was a good read but a bit confusing as to how sometimes the Locket ended up where it did and how it got there.

The characters were strong and the words well written.

Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review.

I've been thinking about this book for a few days - since I finished it. I liked it, but didn't love it. The novel had the possibility of something extraordinary but the narrative fell flat for me. The story itself is interesting - a locket found from the past, stories about the locket and resolved. I just didn't think it spent enough time on the locket original story and left me wanting much more.

Thank you to NetGalley and Not So Noble Books for the opportunity to read and review this book

Rachel is browsing at a local market when she comes across a locket and buys it. We then get the stories of the different owners of the locket dating back to the 1880s - each with a different love story.

I really enjoyed this book it was very light and easy to read but loved that it was about different love stories within one

The Locket
A locket is found at a market where household goods are sold (a flea market, if you will). In a box containing little but nothing useful, it opens the door to its past history. For inside the locket are two pictures, male and female, while underneath is a lock of hair, a gift that was made n in 1880. But this is only the beginning. It is intriguing to follow its path The journey takes us through generations until the present time, with the locket giving us a story of each couple, their love, their heartbreak and secrets. This was a comfortable read, the author, Ms. Keyson, kept the story moving with the locket being the central figure in the book. I would definitely recommend this book and will look for other stories written by her. Thanks to NetGalley for the privilege of reading this book in exchange for an honest review.

Rachel is about to leave a boot sale when she makes her last stop and picks up a box of assorted things she'll go thorough later. In it is the locket with pictures. She has no idea who they are but feels better about life and work when she has it near. The story takes you back to where the locket began and the back story of the people involved at the time. It covers the person who finds it or receives it and how they feel about it. The story covers many years and I wondered how it came to be in the box Rachel bought. Each person had an interesting story to tell.

I choose this book since it reminded me of Richard Paul Evans type of work and it sounded very interesting. I have never read any books by Patricia Keyson before so this was my first book. I found this story very touching and a wonderful book to read. This story is a very easy read - it drew me in and I finished it in one afternoon. Loved it! This book a series of short stories which you follow the journey of a locket as it is handed down from one generation to the next. In each story the women share their story of heartbreak. The stories all range from different time periods from the 1880 to present day so I found that very interesting to follow.

I look forward to reading other works by this author in the future!

I loved this book. Very easy to read and the idea that there are 4 short stories all themed around The Locket, spanning from the late 1800's to the current day. Each story is based around Love and finding it, and how the locket seems to hold each story within it, to be passed on to the next keeper of the locket. Also loved the background to each story too, set during the late 1800's and how old fashioned things were, to during the war, to the 60's and to the current day. Would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to immerse themselves in short love stories and wanting an easy read for sure!

What a fast read! Easily finished in a single weekend, this book is full of adventure and light-hearted moments. There are several stories here - or rather, several chapters of the story of The Locket. I love that the locket is the central character of this novel, as opposed to being simply an object of great importance. We get to follow the locket's journey, which is very special in my opinion. I enjoyed reading about the lives the locket touched, and how it changed over time.

Some of the moments were very serious, and heart-breaking, but I feel that lends to a feeling of realism. Love genuinely has a great many ups and downs, through relationships and throughout a single relationship.

In all honesty, a few times I despaired that things would ever work out for the people I was reading about. I worried for them, got angry with them, empathized with them. Only the best stories draw you in to this level. Patricia Keyson is a fantastic author and I can't wait to read more of her work!
