Julia is a bit weak and Jonas so wishy washy but somehow it just works!

His Secret by Gina A. Jones is the First book in "The Secret" Series. This is the story of Julia Ellis and Jonas Fairbanks. This book does end with a cliffhanger so be warned.
Julia dream is to be a chef in Paris but right now she has taken a live in job to work as a Nanny to a little girl named Sidney. This has brought her to a strange house with a distant father figure for Sidney. Sidney is a shy friendless little girl. Julia tries to bring the father and daughter together along with solving the secrets of the house. Along with finding out what Jonas is hiding. Along with the mystery there is love growing between Jonas and Julia but can it survive the hidden secrets.
Can't wait for the next book.

I couldn't get past the strong air of christianity in this story. Thanks for the opportunity to read it though!

I was very frustrated with Julia. She was very immature, inflexible, willing to give up her beliefs and dreams because of Jonas. Trusted everyone but Jonas. I wanted to smack her. Yes, I realize this was her first love and was totally swept up in it, but her brain seemed to go out the window,. Overall I thought the characters needed more depth and dimension. The story was predictable. and the author's writing style was not for me. Thank you for allowing me this preview.
