I thought this was an excellent book! I was surprised to read a few negative reviews for this one, I thought it was written really well. Full of damaged people, and most of them were lying! I must admit you do have to concentrate on who is who, there are a lot of characters. The A Team are a group of school friends, Dan, WIll, Nick and Jen, who have moved on in their lives with relationships and families, but have all remained firm friends. Their close relationship threatens some of the new partners and all of them are either hiding secrets or being lied to in one way or another. We also learn about the parents of the A Team, whose actions have impacted on their children's lives.
I do enjoy books like this featuring damaged people and twisted relationships! I also liked how each relationship had some kind of conclusion, some more shocking than others! One little thing that annoyed me though, just because someone is Welsh, doesn't mean they have to say flipping in every sentence to emphasise the fact.. Just a minor moan but every time this character said it, I was irritated! Really good book, I enjoyed it.

Thanks Netgalley and the Publisher. I have to be honest that I struggled with this book and in the end gave up. Sorry

I can see why many people would be interested in this book. Seeing just how much people can get away with is quite intriguing, but I found myself rather uncomfortable. I couldn’t even read until the very end, I made it halfway through but honestly, I just found it a jumbled mess of depravity.

This book is about couples who have been friends since Uni. They are pretty typical of students even after years and have called themselves the A-Team. Nonetheless, they are a diverse group. As the plot rolls on it reveals they all have their secrets. I did struggle to pair up the couples but it helped to write down who was together and the details of each. I found it tough going at first. There were too many characters for me. A good portrait of mental health and its ongoing stigma. Interesting characters but I didn't relate to any of them. Not that it matters. It made it more compelling to read. A very sad ending.

I couldn't finish this. I'm at 30% and just can't go on.
I feel like the title has not much to do with what happened up until now, and it's very disappointing. With a title like "My Husband's Lies" i expected an intimate perspective of a wife and some horrible secrets of her husband. I think in this book that husband is the least of our issue to be honest.
I'm not able to connect with any of the characters, and each chapter seem to tell a different story. This far in the book they should have had some sort of a connection, other than the fact that most of these characters were friends from school / uni.
I just found it extremely boring. The synopsis mentioned suspense, but I didn't feel it.

Well written story about a group of friends with lots of secrets. I enjoyed the book however there were lots of characters and could be difficult to keep up with them all and what was going on. I enjoyed it overall though.

A brilliant yet sad book. The way the web of deceit makes people feel. The cruelness of their behaviour, sad to read but so true to real life.

A book full of secrets - not just "her husband's". Concentration was needed to keep track of all the characters and how they were connected. Some unexpected reveals, and a remarkable ending.

Having read and thoroughly enjoying Caroline England's debut novel Beneath the Skin I couldn't wait to read this book. I love the way she writes, the way she develops her characters and story lines. Her characters are flawed, they lie, they cheat, they have real feelings and complex relationships. At the beginning of the book the amount of characters feels a bit overwhelming, but eventually you learn that there are really only four couples whose lives are interconnected.
If you enjoyed Caroline's first book then you won't be disappointed with this. 5*****

This book was hard for me, because it was realistic in ways and the characters were developed pretty good, but it really was slow at times. Plus, very hard to keep track of all the people throughout the book. I think in ways the more realistic it is, the less I seem to like, but I did enjoy this, just not my very favorite.

This book sorely dragged on and on, but did have the potential to be very intriguing. Lots of betrayal and I daresay the book should actually be called 'EVERYONE'S' lies rather than just the husbands. Jeez, the crap these people get away with and do behind their significant others backs is appalling, scary really. I mean do people's partners actually do this type of thing and live a secretive double life? Anyways getting right back on track - this was okay, not great but just dragged on too long!

What a book! So much going on and so relatabel to what could actually happen in real life.
So many people involved was hard to keep track at times. What a great ending!
So would recommend this book

Thanks to the publisher and net galley for a early release of this book.

I found My Husband's Lives quite difficult to keep up with and absurd. The story lines were good, but I thought there were too many characters each with big parts to play in the storylines. I was often getting lost with who was with who, and then who was seeing who. Whilst there were no obvious plot twists, the majority of my questions were answered and tied up before the end.

My Husband’s Lies is a dark twisted thriller that make you question anything and everything you’ve ever known about your husband and friends. It had a great plot. I would recommend.
I read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own

A well written story about a group of friends with oodles of dark secrets that takes you on a guessing game of who is telling the truth and who is lying. I really have mixed feelings about this book, I did not like some of the characters and found it frustrating jumping from person to person. Overall well worth a read.

I received this book free in return for an honest review. I really had high hopes for this one based on the description. Unfortunately a huge chunk of the book drags. A lot. For that reason I occasionally had to force myself to continue. But I digress.

This will contain spoilers so only continue if you have already read the book.

Let's start with the only female member of the A Team. Explain to me how she cheats on her husband on the regular, in their home with no worries? She is never concerned he could come home in the middle of the day? Content to just lounge around with this man, even making snacks to enjoy in bed.

Then I'm sorry but for most of the book I just could not stand Dan. If he wanted to be with someone else, a man at that - why the hell did he agree to have a baby with his girlfriend?? It's not like they got pregnant on accident, they discussed it first. The fact that he was cheating on her with a man through the pregnancy just got me. Now that the kid is here you finally decide you want to be honest about what you feel?! Really??

Will is just a waste of explanation. If you really loved someone else why did you get married in the first place? Then you want her to just what leave her husband and kids because you say you love her? I do find it interesting how that ending leaves you for a loop. I can only assume his crazy wife killed him based on everything leading up to that cliffhanger.

There was so much that could have been explained with Nick's storyline. Instead I feel like we only got bits and pieces and left a lot unsaid. He never confronts his parents who he now knows are his grandparents. He never goes to his godfather who raped his mother as a child! But at least he is the only one whose marriage seems to be surviving by the end! Not really sure if I will read anything else by the author or not right now. But we'll see.
