I have been struggling with fear, anxiety, and depression for quite a while. I picked up this book without a whole lot of belief that it would help much. I mean, what help could this young woman be to me. Turns out, a lot! I read this book at the right time in my life. Sadie is so inspirational. I encourage all girls to read this book at least one way in their life.

my blurb!
A look at the life of the girl you might recognize from Duck Dynasty, the fear she lived in, and how she daily tries to overcome it.

3 out of 5 stars
what i liked
Sadie is very likable. You don’t read the book and think about how far out of touch she is with being a human.
She lived in a lot of fear – I mean it blew my mind. And it was amazing to me that she was willing to share those struggles so readily with her readers!
The chapter’s end with reflections to help you progress in your own struggle(s) with fear! It wasn’t crazy cheesy or anything like that- so big pro there!
Definitely the word I would use to describe this book the most is genuine. Sadie comes across super genuine and it makes you realize how little you knew her when watching the “reality” show she was on!
This girl is so in love with God. It is amazing to read about and is really inspiring to me as a reader!

what i didn't like
Very quickly into this book I realized that I was not the target audience. I don’t think I realized that people did live in this high level of fear and anxiety. It made me almost feel better about my issues with spiders and heights! Not a knock on fearful people or the book- it just didn’t make me want to fly through reading it.

I received this book from Netgalley for free in exchange for my honest review which was not required to be positive.

Happy Reading,
Dux

Robertson's energy and spirit really come to live on the pages of this book. A great read for young or old.

Great perspective from a millennial who is shining for Jesus. I liked her style of writing and the stories that she shared. Nice to see young people who are stepping up and living for God.

In a world of self love and self hate, it's truly refreshing to read about living God's way, rather than trying to be self fulfilling. Living for God and stepping out of your comfort zone can have lifelong effects on your self esteem as well as the world as a whole. I loved reading this and will recommend it to everyone! Not just a book for today, but for Christians, to find true purpose.

“When we’re afraid, we have a tendency to pray and ask God for peace before we’ll step out and do what frightens us. But most of the time, we simply need to move forward. “ -Live Fearless by Sadie Robertson

I give this book 5/5 stars. My favorite book I read so far this year. If you feel like you are stuck, living in fear, faithless, or confused this book is for you. It will have you looking at yourself and getting to the bottom of what is holding you back from going after everything God has for you and more. Today is the day you need to take the first step into walking into the freedom God has for you. Do not let fear keep you in bondage. Make the first move.

Sadie Robertson is an inspiring and encouraging woman of God! I recommend this book wether you're a follower of the Lord or not, because this is what everyone in our stressed out society needs to hear: Do not be afraid. Live fearlessly! Thank you for this incredible book Sadie!

My thanks to Sadie Robertson, NetGalley and Thomas Nelson for giving me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I want to start by saying this review does not reflect on the author’s writing but my own silliness of not thoroughly reading the synopsis of this book. I requested this book via NetGalley as one of my first reads joining NetGalley. I skimmed over the synopsis and requested the book believing it was a self-help book.
While this book is a self-help book, it’s extremely religious and its main foundation is based on God, verses, praying, and how to apply this to your everyday life. I am not religious not even remotely. So trying to read this book made me uneasy and I simply couldn’t continue. I assumed this book would be mainly revolved around how to cope with anxiety, mental illnesses, society, etc.
I read inspirational books quite often because I like exploring different people’s opinions and guides on how to live a fuller and happier life but not being remotely acquainted with Sadie Robertson and her journey or works before this book, was another set-back.
Bottom line, my review is mainly based on being uncomfortable with religion and Christianity. If non-fiction religious books are your thing, I suppose you will enjoy it.

POWERFUL & LIFE CHANGING !!

Sadie Robertson, who is a speaker and once a contestant in Dancing with the Stars, writes about breaking out and living fearlessly in this book. Giving pointers and life examples, she encourages the reader to see life from a different point of view. This book also tackles every aspect of fear that leaves you in a place for no excuses but to admit you need help. This is where Sadie brings in the Word of God that the reader may find hope and redemption.

I love how Sadie writes the book and explain things so simply, it changes the reader's paradigm. Though this book encourages a changed life, it doesn't promise one because it is all up to the reader to practice it. Without us doing something to change it on our part, we will not see a change and live a fearless life.

I urge everyone to read this book whether you are a Christian or not because it speaks truth. And to quote the bible, "the Truth will set us free".

Wow. I didn't go into this book with many expectations, but I LOVED it. It's written beautifully, movingly, and even wittily. I haven't watched much Duck Dynasty, so I don't 'know' Sadie Robertson like a lot of Americans do, but after reading this book I'd love to meet her! There's such good, Biblical advice in this book about how to live fearlessly in a frightening world. Highly inspiring and highly recommended.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

Live Fearless by Sadie Robertson has a truly powerful message about tackling the issues of fear, worry, and anxiety. Sadie talks about her personal issues with fear and how it has been a stumbling block in her life. Sadie depicts a very honest picture of how her fear made her feel.

Sadie also speaks honestly about how her faith and belief in the Lord enabled her to go through the journey to overcome her fears. Sadie gives all the glory and praise to the Lord for guiding her through this journey and encourages others to do the same. Sadie’s faith is truly inspiring.

I recommend this book to young adults and even to adults. Sadie’s journey in overcoming the obstacle of fear is relatable and inspirational. Sadie’s faith walk is genuine and her clear message that the Lord is with us always, championing our struggles is very comforting and true. Sadie is a true inspiration of faith in action.

Sadie Robertson is a class act. She may be young but she is an example of what a lady should be....especially a Christian young lady. The Robertson family became familiar and beloved to me when my little grandson asked me if we could watch Duck Dynasty. I asked if that was a cartoon. He told me that they were a bunch of people who talk funny and hunt ducks down in the swamp. How cute. I later laughingly told him that he was responsible for my addiction to Duck Dynasty.
This book is perfect for young women who are searching for the answer to healing them from their anxiety. Having watched Sadie on Duck Dynasty and movies she appeared in, I never would have thought that she suffered from anxiety.
I highly recommend this book to teens and women in their 20's.
I am giving this book 5 stars.

Well written and a book I would definitely recommend to young adults. I did not grow up with fear myself but a lot of my friends did and this helped me to understand their perspective a bit more. Well written with a great message!

Sadie Robertson has written a book that will appeal to teen and young adult females. She is candid about her personal life and struggles and offers true encouragement and hope for those who struggle with any type of fear. She shares Biblical truths to combat fear and offers practical ways to APPLY Biblical truth. Incredible read!

Sadie Robertson may only be 20 years old, but she is already much wiser beyond her years. Think of how many child actors have grown up to be lost in the drug and party scene of Hollywood. Too many to count. While much of her life was shown in front of the camera on Duck Dynasty, she has stayed true to herself, her faith and her family. She has provided a great example for the younger generation that you can be a Christian and be cool, that you can be yourself and not need a bottle of pills to be cool, that you can have both success and your faith - it's not an either/or situation. She has offered a refreshing alternative to what we currently see the younger generation has to look up to.

Now let's talk about her book Live Fearless. I don't know a person out there, religious or not, who has not faced or dealt with fear. We all have it in our lives. It's the elephant in the room people don't like to admit to having. And don't let Sadie's age deceive you that she doesn't legitimately have something constructive to add to the conversation about how to live without fear. This book, beautifully and excellently written, is a guide to help you dig through the root of your fears and a process to help walk the reader through reflections and discussions to put you on the path of spiritual growth from your fears - to help you live fearless! This isn't just a 12-step process. Her book is filled with quotes, scripture, real life testimony and experiences and lots of encouraging words and prayer. You don't need to be a teenager or young adult to appreciate or learn from this book. I found this book really helpful for me. And you don't need to be a Christian for the narrative and activities to work in your life.

This is a well thought out book, devotional and guide that I immensely enjoyed and see this book being one I pass on to many of my friends and family.

My thanks to Sadie Robertson and Thomas Nelson Publishing for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Wonderful and inspiring book. I love that she is not afraid to be who she was raised to be. If only all young people in this day and age lived without fear of being judged for the beliefs that were instilled in them. This young lady is destined for great things!

I have read of Sadie Robertsons past books and loved them. This one was no different. She is so inspirational and she seems so sweet.

I really enjoyed Duck Dynasty when the show came on. While my family isn't big into hunting, I liked how their family dynamic and culture wasn't too far off from what I'm familiar with. I grew up in the country. We had one caution light (not even a full red light) in my home town. So I related to their country living lifestyle. Also being a Christian it was so refreshing to see a family with similar morals and beliefs who weren't afraid to speak about their faith. Plus the Christian faith isn't something we get much from television these days--especially in any kind of positive light. That being said I always liked what I saw of Sadie on the show. I was glad to see that she was taking her opportunities to be a role model for other young adults of this generation.

I don't feel like I've had too much trouble with fear in my life. Of course I have fears but I've never felt controlled by them. Yet while reading Live Fearless I did realize that I'd let fear stop me from doing a few things throughout my life that might have been really fun (going to summer camp as a kid for instance). But I've not experienced the level of fear that Sadie discussed in this book. So I wasn't reading this for personal help so much as curiosity.

From a writing stand point there were a few too many "I'll talk more about this later" type of statements for my taste. In my experience the reader doesn't really need these statements. I don't know how much of that was Sadie's idea or perhaps an editor's. Either way it happened too frequently for my preferences.

One thing I absolutely loved about this book was that Sadie did a great job showing how a Christian can be struggling with a particular area of their life yet still have a vibrant and rich relationship with God. He still uses us and works on us. Because let's be honest... There are no sinless or perfect people. Only Jesus filled the role. So imperfect and struggling with the flesh people are there only people God has to work with because that's who we are. Yet God can still use us for His purposes. And one thing my brother always says is that God is always working on more than one person at the same time.

I also appreciated that while Sadie was open about her struggles with fear she didn't find it necessary to inform the readers about the specifics of the sin she might have experienced in every example she used in this book. She does talk about confession and confessing your sins and struggles to someone you trust, but God doesn't instruct us to confess every sin to every person. It isn't necessary for the reader to know the specifics of every sin she's struggled with in her life.

Favorite quotes:
-If you fear amything other than God, you're giving it too much power in your life. - My mom

-"God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him."

-Our job isn't to figure out what the picture will ultimately look like; it's to walk where He leads.

-Don't let shame or regret steal your future the way fear has stolen your past.

I feel that Live Fearless is a great book for the young adults of this generation. I took plenty away from it even though this book reminded me that I'm no longer in that phase of my life (the young adult part even though I still think of myself that way). I think if fear is something you struggle with this book would be helpful for you no matter your age. Live Fearless gets 4 Stars. Have you read Live Fearless? What did you think? Let me know!

I am a teenager and reading this book was such an amazing experience. I enjoyed reading this so much, and I could relate to a lot of what Sadie Robertson said. This book definitely helped me view things in a new way, and I definitely recommend this book to every teenager, whether you are having trouble in your spiritual walk or not.
