A fun, engaging and wonderful comic, I'm so glad to be reintroduced to Narwhal and Jelly in Volume 3, Peanut Butter and Jelly.

Like volume 1, Peanut Butter and Jelly is broken into three brief stories focused on food and boundaries separated with cute asides. Each story focuses on how peanut butter has completed changed Narwhal's life. However, unlike volume 1 (I never read volume 2, sorry!), the morals and messages are not quite as clear. I appreciate the themes from each story: trying new things, showing restraint when it comes to food, and appreciating what you have. However, I miss the unifying moral theme across all three vignettes like in volume 1. Peanut butter just isn't as heart-warming as friendship.

The two asides are adorable and also food focused. The first aside focuses on the foods different nautical creatures eat. The facts are short and simple, focusing on one interesting thing which is obviously intended to stick in the reader's mind. The second aside is a superhero comic about Super Waffle and Strawberry Sidekick vs PB&J. Yes. Anthropomorphized food superheroes. It's adorable and silly and everything you'd expect this comic to be. It even ends with a dance party. Who doesn't love a dance party?!

Overall, an engaging wonderfully illustrated children's graphic novel. While it is physically just as adorable as volume 1, the messages are not as prominent and clear. If I hadn't read the first volume, this would be a clear heart-melting winner. That said, I hope to continue to keep reading Clanton's delightful adventures as they fill my heart with child-like joy.

I've read several of Ben Clanton's books with my 4 year old daughter and we have enjoyed them all. We especially love Rex Wrecks It. The Narwhal and Jelly books are always funny. I love the colorful artwork. I really enjoyed this book even though I hate peanut butter cookies.

Narwhal and Jelly have the most outlandish conversations. This series is perfect for very young readers who are interested in graphic novels, My six year old read this to her little brother and they were both rolling with laughter, the humor is perfect for this age group and it is apparent that Ben Clanton knows his audience. The illustrations are cute and colorful and fun to look at.

Officially, this book is for children age 8 and under, but let's be honest...it's so great everyone should read it!!

"Peanut Butter and Jelly" continues to follow the fun relationship between Narwhal the, well, narwhal, and Jelly the, um, jelly fish. In this book we get to see what happens when Jelly convinces Narwhal to try a peanut butter cookie. The response is adorable, sweet, epic and hilarious. You cannot have a bad day while reading this, it isn't possible.

Kids will love it, teens will love it, adults will love it, angry people will love it, happy people will love it, everyone will love it.. READ THIS!

This graphic novel was really fun! It is very simple so great for young readers and it had a lot of wit to it. There were some puns which made me laugh and the narwhal's element of just pure innocence puts a smile on your face. And you can't go wrong with waffles and peanut butter, these are just two amazing food options.

The characters reminded me of some classic duos where there is a funny and serious portrayal. The one creature is the serious and methodical one (Jellyfish) and the other creature was humorous and spontaneous (Narwhal).

Overall, it was a fast-read with fun characters and a simple storyline that would be great for a younger audience.

We already love Narwhal and Jelly, but the latest book in the series was even more fantastic. The two friends learn to try new things (peanut butter) and end up over doing it just a bit. Another underlying theme I found in this book was perspective; size, taste, importance, is all a matter of perspective and individual interest. I think that kids will be incredibly excited for the next installment of Narwhal and Jelly. The way the factual information was presented made it fun for kids to learn about sea creatures.

The latest in the Narwhal books is here! I requested this one for my son Ivan. He loves Narwhal, and this didn't disappoint.

First he read it. His review is that it's the perfect length, but he wishes it had been longer because he enjoyed it so. And that it was really funny.

He told me I had to read it. I planned on it, I'm a reviewer here.

I read it out loud, both boys listened. I heard a few chuckles from my oldest. I laughed too, Narwhal is silly and Jelly is a great straight man.

I did think it was crazy short. I mean, I read it out loud in less than 15 minutes. I'd put this as a great early graphic novel.

Narwhal discovers the joy of peanut butter and takes things to the extreme in several humorous short chapters. Great as a read aloud or for 1st-3rd grade independent readers.

Not much to really say about this one: I love Narwhal and Jellyfish books: I've recommended them to everyone I know because they're adorable, funny, and just a fun little romp today kids would love! This one's as good as the others and I look forward to the next one!

Still funny and adorable. Narwhal and Jelly's conversation about all the foods Narwhal hasn't tried is sure to entertain readers of all ages. Narwhal's obsession with the peanut butter was delightful and there were several fun surprises. Readers of the first two installments won't be disappointed.

I am a big fan and happy to see the latest book in the series doesn't disappoint a bit. The illustrations compliment the text. I am always a fan of books that encourage children to try new foods.

This series is just so much fun. It’s simple, but that is its beauty. Apparently Narwhal has never eaten anything but waffles. And Jelly has a peanut butter cookie. It takes some convincing, but when Narwhal finally gets his first bite, he is hooked. And an addict is made. This book isn't just fun, “it’s fintastic”.
