Villains aren’t supposed to rescue damsels, and pack alphas are known to have complete control of their wolf. But when Fabian saves a certain lady from drowning, everything he knows gets tossed away and only one thing becomes clear: she’s his mate—and someone wants to kill her. Protecting her, though, is only part of his problem. He also has to convince her she belongs to him. In her words, “Hell no.”
As with all of this author’s books, this was a quick and entertaining read. I enjoyed the story from start to finish. I found the interactions between both main characters very entertaining. I highly recommend.

Alpha’s Mate is the third installment of the Fabian Garoux series by Eva Langlais

You wouldn’t think you’d be the ideal person to be kidnapped, but Vivienne apparently is. On top of that, her two kidnappers are complete morons. As she’s tossed into the freezing body of water while bound she has minutes before she drowns. As she tries to conserve air, a handsome, yet infuriating male jumps in and saves her. When he ask for her name, she can’t tell him.. Not for the fear of her life, but because she doesn’t remember.

Vivienne didn’t trusting Fabian, so she did the best next thing, run. If she thought she was in danger before, she has no idea what beast she just woke up. And he wants to play. This sexy bad boy just found his mate and he doesn’t mind the chase.

Alpha’s Mate is a short read and I loved both Vivienne and Fabian. Fabian, is known to be the villain, and I can kinda see that through the story. He’s not only sly , but he’s a no nonsense kind of man. I love seeing him being sarcastic, but also a teddy bear under the facade he puts on. For Vivienne, I found it a little hard to connect with her since she’s suddenly gets amnesia. Though these two sexual chemistry was off the charts!

This is book three in the “Fabian Garoux” series. I felt this book could easily be read as a standalone. I consider this book to be a quick paranormal read with some heat. I have read many books by this author, I felt she gave us solid characters and she never fells to deliver sassy sexy heroines and stubborn hot alpha males for her readers enjoyment. I found this book to be a fun read, with the right amount of humor and steamy parts mixed in with it. I also loved the twist to the story line the author gave us, but you’ll to read it for yourself to see what I mean. If you enjoy paranormal romance with sassy heroines and hot alpha males than I think you’ll love this.

***I voluntarily reviewed this ARC for an honest review via NetGalley, this is my honest opinion and has not been influenced by the author, Publishers or NetGalley in anyway.*** Thank you!

It had been a while since I read anything from Eve Langlais and it almost felt like I was reading a different author. I think she was going for humor and witty banter but just tried way too hard. You're talking about a book that has themes of human trafficking. Don't think ridiculous silliness is what needs to be going on there. I didn't really feel the connection between Fabian and Vivienne and their inner thoughts just got on my nerves. This one just didn't do it for me.

Fabian isn't use to rescuing damsels in distress. But Vivienne more than she appears. If only she could remember what she is.
I really enjoyed Alpha's Mate by Eve Langlais. Fabian is the baddest wolf around. Saving folks isn't usually how he rolls. But when trouble finds itself on his land his role changes. Especially since trouble brings along his mate. I love seeing Vivienne and Fabian interact. Vivienne may not remember much but I love that Ms. Langlais did not allow Vivienne to be seen as a victim. Vivienne found herself a bit lost but she refused to let that define her. I love Vivienne and Fabian together. The chemistry felt believable and real. The dialogue was snappy. And Ms. Langlais' trademark snarkiness was abundant. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Fabian and Vivienne find their way and look forward to reading more from Ms. Langlais in the future.

ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are hones
Vivienne wakes up in a strange place with no memory of her former life.
She does not even remember her own name.
Fabian rescued Vivienne, but now, he does not know what to do with her.
Now the question remains:
Will Vivienne remember who she is and why people are trying to kill her?
Fabian also has a dilemman.
Will he claim Vivienne as his mate or not ?
I loved the storytelling + the characters
The storytelling + the character's build were awesome!

I voluntarily read an advanced reviewers copy of this book

This book was funny, spicy and quick to read. I loved getting Fabian's story and was excited to meet the woman who brought him to his knees. Although they met in unconventional ways they were perfect together with all of their bickering until the very end.

Overall a great book. Wish Eve would make it a full length novel because it was a joy to read.

Yet another paranormal romance by one of my favourite authors .....writing with all the wit and humour she is well known for .........................................

Pack alphas are known to have complete control of their wolf , but when Alpha wolf Fabian saves a lady from drowning, everything he knows gets tossed away and only one thing becomes clear: she’s his mate......................and someone wants to kill her. Hell no. Protecting her though, is only part of his problem ,he also has to convince her she belongs to him. In her words, “Hell no.”

When she flees, little does she realize this wolf loves to chase and when he catches the woman he wants ? She’ll become the Alpha’s Mate....................the chase is on .

This is a fast, fun, humour filled read -not quite my favorite by this author but still highly enjoyable.

I found this a fun read.
I'm not normally a fan of the amnesia trope for a variety of reasons but I felt this one was well done.
I really enjoyed the questionable heroics of the hero and the open strong woman that was the heroine. There are couples referenced that let you know this is a later book in a series but I never felt like I was missing information for not having read the previous books.
Mrs. Langlais always delivers strong characters and some solid laughs and this story did not disappoint me there.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

Love the sass and snark of Fabian and his Vixen. Lots of romance, and some intrigue make up this story of a woman who Fabian rescues from an assassination attempt and can't remember who she is.

Fabian and Vixen are so perfect together and it is fun to see a couple who are so bad yet in a good way.

The epilogue was a little tiny bit of a lead in to the next story in this series. Another good story!

Alpha's mate is a stand-alone story by Eve Langlais. The story is connected to some other novella's, but you will have no trouble getting into this one. The story begins with our heroine, who has been kidnapped, trying to save herself before the evil people who have taken her have the chance to kill her. That doesn't go very well and she ends up almost drowning, but Fabian saves her and together they try to find out what is going on and who would want to kill our heroine. I am not going to say her name because for most of the book she has amnesia and she is clueless about everything that is going on in her world aka the existence of shifters. Together, she and Fabian try to solve the mystery behind the weird circumstances she found herself in without killing themselves and find their happily ever after.

The funny thing about this story is that I actually read the novella that follows Alpha's mate before I got my hands on this book and I had already met these characters, but I hadn't paid much attention to them. Fabian mostly seemed eccentric and a little weird to me, but after reading this novella everything fell into place. And I not saying this in a bad way. I read them out of order and I was still able to enjoy the story, so my saying that this is a stand-alone novella is true. I can't wait to read more stories in this universe.

You’ve just been thrown from a cliff into a river, your hands and feet are tied and you smashed your head on a rock. You’d be a bit snippy too, even with the nice (and nice-looking) fella who just dove in and saved you. Especially when you realise you don’t remember your name.

The mostly-unnamed heroine of this short story may have needed saving when Fabian first found her, but throughout the story she manages to hold her own against assassins, well-meaning butlers and the wolf who has decided she’s the One. Some paranormal romance heroines tag along, but even without friends or a name, this one questions his decisions and is instrumental to saving herself multiple times. She doesn’t know why she knows how to pick a lock or drive a motorcycle, but she’s going to use those skills regardless!

I felt like THE ALPHA’S MATE lacked some of the humour other books by Eve Langlais, which made the short story feel shorter. Still, I enjoyed the small cast of characters and even the cheesy “Happily-Ever-After” epilogue at the end.

If you like your shifter tales fast and sexy, this one is a wild ride.

Great quick read! Loved to well written humor and the stages of their relationship.

When Vivienne is kidnapped and left for dead Fabian saves her. She doesn't remember who she is, or why she was kidnapped. Fabian knows she is the one for him his wolf is making this clear.
When she realizes who she is and the life she was taken from her opinions of Fabian will not change.

This was a short read and it held my interest.

I'm not usually one for shifter books, but the blurb intrigued me enough to try this one. It was a very quick read, easily finished in one sitting. I thought Viv's reaction to what Fabian's true identity and what she saw that night was glossed over. I think the author should have spent more time on this part of the book.

Overall not bad, just too short for my preference.

My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!!
***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I got a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! I haven’t bought this one yet, but I did buy the first two in the series, so I could read those.

The cover is what attracted me to want to read the book!

Well I know I own quite a few of Eve’s books (21 to be exact in ebooks and probably some paperbacks too), but this is my first review of one of her books. There is never enough time to read everything I want or even own.

This is the 3rd book in this series, and you can read them out of order because I did. It is for adults only due to the violence and steamy content. It is about 80 pages long and a quick read.

This book was mysterious and action-packed because the leading lady has no idea who she is, so Fabian calls her Vixen. Someone wants to kill her, and Fabian will not allow it. They have a mystery to solve about who she is and bad guys to lure out. This was a great read, and I didn’t see some of the curve balls that were thrown. This made it more for me because I love when an author can surprise me. I don’t want to give anything away because I don’t want to spoil your adventure.

I recommend to shifter fans who want an action packed read especially if you like Eve’s work! I’m already reading the next story that comes right after this one!
