I voluntarily read this advanced readers copy of this book. Strong characters and a great story line. You won't be able to put this book down once you start reading it. I can't wait to read more work from Sarah either.

Really enjoyed this. First time reading from the author and can't wait to read more. Loved the diverse female POV.

Enjoyable MC romance between Clint and the woman who takes care of his Nana, Jo. There aren't a lot of MC details or action but the romance is sweet and hot.

Clint's thoughts are very impure, “I’m in the room next to yours, if you need anything—for Nana,” I clarified. ****. If she needed anything? Like what? A good solid eff." I liked this book, I loved Clint and Jo.

Patched in Demon Horde MC biker Clint Remmick has always been loyal to his brothers and his club, it's his life, but when his beloved Nana's health begins to suffer and in need of his help, she becomes his first priority. He decides to take care of her himself, he wants to move her in with him but realizes he'll need a live-in-nurse to help. Jo Smith applies for the job.
Jo is a student studying to be an RN. Working with "Nanna" Anne Remmick will fit in great with her studies and she has to be the sweetest, kindest old lady you could meet. Her grandson Clint however scares her a little with his many tattoos and black leather. But he can't be all that bad the way he takes care of his Nanna and see's she has all she needs. It's not long before the curiosity Jo feels towards Clint becomes more than interest and she feels drawn to him, wishing for something more intimate. And so does Clint....but for how long?

He's her boss, is it wrong? Jo and Clint find them selves holding back. The sexual tension is great, will they ever become anything more than boss/employee?
Very entertaining and HOT. Clint was a wonderful, sweet and caring grandson, I liked his character, a real contradiction to his tough MC biker persona. And their chemistry is of the charts. I liked this story a lot. I highly recommend it!

ARC received for review

Third book in the series. Of course, I haven't read the first two, but this one is completely stand alone. Interesting story. Clint is not your usual hard arse biker except when his girl gets threatened. He moves out of the clubhouse and buys a house so his Nana can live with him to be closer to her dialysis treatments. Then there's Jo, Nana's home health nurse who's still working on getting her RN. They were great together, but it took so long to get there....he's my boss I can't (repeatedly). Loved their Post-It note communications.

This book was everything I love about romance. Clint and Jo are an absolute delight to get to know with every page and their attraction could set the world on fire. I love how relatable Jo is. She’s been through a lot and has no reason to trust men but Clint works hard to get through her walls and make her see that he is more than the vest he wears.

I highly recommend this book

While this the third book in this series it can easily be read as a stand-alone.

It’s also worth mentioning that this is a romance first MC second kind of book. It’s not a hard dark and gritty biker read it’s about a guy (Clint) who happens to be a biker but he’s soft, sweet and lovable I mean we’re talking dancing the foxtrot at a senior centre and taking his Nana in to live with him and even taking her to family night at the club.
This is the kind of guy you want to take home to meet your parents, well minus the tattoos and vest maybe depending on your parents.

Anne Remmick needs dialysis and so to drastically cut down on travelling time she moves in with her grandson Clint. Anne hires Jo as her home health-care worker and the scene is set.
Jo’s life hasn’t been easy, her father was in the military and so they moved regularly, her mother left when she was a teenager and her dad died when she was nineteen. On top of this her father was black and her mother white so she’s suffered prejudice due to her skin colour all her life.

I liked Jo in fact my only problem (and I totally understand where she’s coming from she needs to look after herself and not jeopardise her job and living accommodations) was the I like him but he’s my boss thing, I understand but it went on a little too long for me.

Clint was an absolute sweetie and apart from his complete 180 moment I loved him.

I felt the part where Jo got involved in business was unnecessary and pretty stupid really, the book would have worked better without that, well for me anyway. But all things considered if you’re looking for a nice little romance with a charming, crafty old lady then this could be it.
While I liked Jo and Clint it was Nana that stole the show.

I voluntarily read a review copy kindly provided by NetGalley and HARLEQUIN - Carina Press.

3.5 stars

***Whats it about?***

A patched in member of a MC moves his grandmother in with him in order for her to have easier access to her dialysis appointments. Enter stage left, Jo, a live in nurse who is there to help Nana with day to day life while Clint is dealing with the new business venture he has brought to the club as well as other club responsibility. A little alone time, mattress shopping, dancing at a senior center, and top less darts creates a burning romance with plenty of smex.

***Why 3.5 stars?***
First, I adored the diversity in the book. It wasn't a whole lot, there's no other apparent sexuality presented and only two black people, one of which is a side character, but the bit that was present I enjoyed. Our main female protagonist, Jo, is a half white, half black swirl who is very aware that someone of her complexion might not always be accepted in the crowds rotating around in this book. I appreciate the author not shying away from this because as a woman of color myself, I found that I could relate to a lot of the internal conversations Jo had with herself on the subject of her skin color. Now, in no means was it harped on to the point where every none black person she happened upon made her quake in her boots, but she was very direct and aware of her surroundings which did endear Jo to me from the beginning. Kudos!

Clint was an enigma to me. I had a bit of a hard time picturing him there at the beginning and his image changed in slight ways for me throughout the book. I think this is more down to me than the writing though. Clint irked me to no end by letting fear over ride good judgment. There were extenuating circumstances but I still found myself saying, "buck up Clint!"

Two things that brought the rating of this book down. The quickness with which they fell in love and Jo during the big conflict. Starting with the romance, the smexy scenes were nice and enjoyable. I didn't feel overwhelmed by them and the plot didn't feel taken over which is always good but . . . this book spans a little more than a month, at the end of which we are well and truly loved up. It was a little insta-lovey and moved a bit fast for me.

The main conflict to the club was a bit tense and dangerous. Jo inputting herself into the equation? Made it much more so. I understand worry, I understand love, but, Jo girl, get a grip! I didn't like her involvement at all and I felt like it caused unnecessary stress. I wanted to reach into the book and shake her!

***Would you read it again?***

Why, yes I would.

***Stand out Character***

Nana. Reminded me of my grandmother cheating at UNO. She also is the reason our characters found each other in the first place. Good on you Nana!

Clint is a man who loves and cares for his Nana. Can it get better than that? Then he blows it and is an ass during a difficult time in Jo's life. I kept thinking, he's going to have to make a really big jester to make up for that. Boy, he does then some. Fast cars and bikers together in this book. Loved it!
