As four girlfriends meet for lunch a tragic accident occurs. This is a story of friendship and relationships in the aftermath of that accident. 

Although I enjoyed this book I felt there was something lacking. The characters were relatable but lacked depth. This was definitely an ok beach read for me.

It’s not often I get teary-eyed while reading a fiction book, but there were several parts of this story that had me getting a little emotional.  The four women, all friends,  in On a Beautiful Day are all facing real-life situations: marriage breakdown, infertility, cancer diagnoses and a long-buried secret.  An accident resulting in serious injury and death  brings all of the women’s individual  issues to the fore.  Great story-telling by Lucy Diamond!
