I read this book in 4 parts and loved them all - the setting and the characters. Love this authors books.

I read as 4 individual parts.

Daisy has returned to Ottercombe Bay for what she thinks will be a fleeting visit but her Uncle Reg has plans for her. Even from beyond the grave. Daisy has a lot of issues with the town and it was nice to see her work through them.

I really liked the locals and their little quirks. I loved Tasmyn. She is one of a kind that is for sure! Max and Jason are also great characters. Bugsy Malone. Daisy's aunts pug is also one of my favourite characters!

I absolutely love Ottercombe Bay. Devon is a place I love and I hope to go back to in the future. For now, this book will keep me there in spirit.

There was a good cast of characters. Daisy is a nice character although she is at times overshadowed by Tamsyn. I loved Tamsyn, Daisy’s best friend. This character needs a book of her own. She has a way with words and I think could be a lot of fun.

I did love the Pug, Bugsy. A fab animal character who produces a lot of funny moments.

A great summer read! The book was very enjoyable and I will miss Ottercombe Bay. The author crafted the setting well and I could almost feel the sea breeze on my skin. The book surprised me with its intriguing plot, wonderful cast of characters and themes of coming home and second chances.

Daisy finds it difficult to stay in one place for too long, and she really doesn't like staying in her hometown Ottercombe Bay, because it brings back a lot of painful and unresolved emotions. The death of her mother follows her everywhere in the place where she grew up.

When she returns home after the death of her Uncle Reg, she is surprised to find he has left her something quite interesting in his will. Unfortunately the wily old man has included specific conditions which must be fulfilled in order for Daisy to receive the inheritance, the kind of conditions he hoped would convince her to stay in O-Bay.

I have to say that Bugsy was the secret star of this book. The interactions between the obnoxious, stubborn pug and Daisy are hilarious. The scene with the chips and the last few pages had me laughing out loud. The two of them were made for each other. Good luck with the retraining!

Ottercombe Bay is all about discovering where you feel at home and most comfortable, even if it means having to lay some demons to rest. Daisy finds a lot of things she wasn't expecting. After many years of being by herself I think she struggles to accept that it's okay to let people in and to trust them.

Osborne has a knack for writing comedic scenes which seem completely effortless and natural, and of course this is what makes her books so enjoyable. She combines subtle romantic storylines with realistic emotional turmoil, and doesn't forget to add the small moments in life that make it both memorable and funny at times.

It's an entertaining and funny read with plenty of heartfelt moments

If I’m being honest, not all books are going to work for me all the time. This is one of those fair weather books. If I’d read it in a certain mood, I may not have liked it at all. But, to be fair, I read while I was in a whimsical mood, so I actually did like it. I am mentioning this because I know there are other readers like me–what works one minute, may not the next.

I did enjoy this book. It’s a fantastic summer read and would make a fantastic early fall read, too, because once you’re in a whimsical reading mood, it enchants. Somewhat reminiscent of a Hallmark movie, it’s gripping in a light way–the main character, Daisy, and the ways in which she maneuvers her life–running away from problems (or people and familial situations) instead of facing them and dealing with them–is almost a novel (and Hallmark film) cliche, but as long as I tried not to think about it, it didn’t bother me as much as it may have. Ignorance is bliss, I suppose.

My one gripe was I thought Daisy might have been a stronger character when I chose to read this book. I really hoped for more for her, but the novel just didn’t deliver. I wanted a stronger, more intelligent lead character and I really didn’t get that with Ottercombe Bay. I don’t know that I’ll read more by this author, so if you’re waiting on anything else from her, you may want to check it out yourself rather than waiting on another one of my reviews.

Eine zauberhafte Geschichte mit vielschichtigen Personen, voller Herz und Romantik. Eine wundervolle Ergänzung zu den bisherigen Ottercombe Büchern.

Humour runs through this story through the story lines, characters and even the pets. It makes for an enjoyable read which isn't overly 'hearts and flowers' but which flows along at a good pace. I didn't know when I read it that it had originally been serialized into four parts but I found it to hang together as a story well.

Daisy is a character with demons in her past which she has to come to terms with. I found her to be likeable but infuriating although as a character she did mature as the year went along. One character who I would like to have met was her Great Uncle Reg as I am sure that there is a story to be told in just how he came to own the railway station. With a lovely setting and a great cast of characters, it proved to be an enjoyable summer read.

In short: Family ties and friendships show Daisy just where home is.

Thanks to the author for a copy of the book.

Coming home to Ottercombe Bay is actually 4 novella's combined into one book. Daisy is returning to Ottercombe Bay for her Uncle's funeral. She hasn't been back for a long time since this was where her mother died. She plans to leave as soon as the funeral is over but Uncle Reg changes her plans by requiring her to live for a year in Ottercombe Bay to inherit his properties. She falls back into a good friendship with Tamsyn the next door neighbor. Between the crazy town residents, Tamsyn, Max, her aunt and Uncle Reg's spoiled pug she thinks she can last for a year and then take off. But she soon learns some things about her mother's death that have her questioning her lifestyle. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

These books are so delightful to read. This was the last book in the series. A small village where everyone knows everyone else. Once I start these books I cannot put them down. Each character sounds like someone you know and can relate to.
I would recommend to anyone that enjoys cozy stories in small towns.

A really lovely, lighthearted, fun and easy summer read, perfect for holidays, each book works on its own but I loved reading them all together in one go like this, a must read!

This book was a joy to read. Set in beautiful Devon, with a host of wonderful characters, it’s a delightful summer read.

It took me a while to warm to Daisy, who I thought was quite bristly and a bit immature at the beginning. When I got to know more of her story though, I changed my mind, and became fond of her. We find out more about Daisy’s past, and what has made her feel the constant need to keep travelling and moving on, never settling anywhere, as the story progresses.

I loved the setting of the book, and the characters. There’s plenty of humour in the book, as well as an intriguing plot. Without giving too much away, Daisy’s inheritance from her Great-Uncle is a really facinating building, and it’s great to see what she does with it. I found Daisy’s relationship with Bugsy, the Pug, particularly funny, each being as stubborn as the other!

Highly recommended, a very enjoyable book.

This is a light summer read . Daisy Wickens arrives in her hometown , Ottercombe bay because of her great uncle's funeral . she has no plans to stay no more than couple of days .

I could only give three stars . I didn't like relationship between Daisy and Max . There was absolutely no trust . They always blamed each others . It felt like Daisy was ready to blame Max for anything . She didn't deserve him . Although , Max was annoying and irritating in the first couple of chapters but he became friends . HE shouldn't have judged Daisy . There was no chemistry netween them

Cute story with some great characters, though I did find Tamsyn to be annoying at times - wasn’t sure if the writer was intending her to be quirky, scatty or child-like. Kind of like a cross between Phoebe in Friends and Alice in Vicar of Dibley.

Also I felt the chemistry and romance between Max and Daisy was somewhat lacking in sparks.

Would not know that this was originally published in 4 parts, it feels like 1 book with no obvious joins.

Thank you Netgalley and Avon for giving me the opportunity to read this book for an honest review.

I’ve had my eye on this book for a while as it was first released in parts but I decided to wait until I could read the whole book. I’m glad I did! I absolutely adored this brilliant book. Now there are lots of books coming out at the moment that seem to have characters inheriting buildings and they can’t leave until a certain time period is up but Coming Home to Ottercombe Bay was just fabulous.

I loved Daisy as a character, she was a delight to read about and she was the type of person I would have loved to have as a friend. I could resonate with Daisy a lot, I get itchy feet if I stay in one place also so I could feel her pain at the start! If I inherited a building (I wish!) I have no idea what I would do with it. I adored going through the renovation process with Daisy and seeing how the building takes shape throughout the book.

Bella’s writing was engaging, funny and kept me glued to my kindle. There are some funny scenes that had me laughing but there are also moments that warm your heart and cheer you right up. Ottercombe Bay seemed like a brilliant place, the people that live there are just fabulous and I loved learning about everyone.

There was just something special that drew me into the pages, I think it was the combination of a brilliant plot, writing that flowed and characters I genuinely cared about. Coming Home to Ottercombe Bay is a light-hearted, feel-good read that will be a great read this summer.

Daisy returns to her childhood home following the passing of her favourite Uncle. Conditions of his will mean she has to curb her wanderlust and face the demons plaguing her for years.

This is more than your normal chick lit read. There are several story lines weaving amongst each other. There’s laughs and there’s intrigue. Quirky characters and beautiful settings make this a winner.
