It is often said that the short story format is one of the hardest to successfully master and certainly to produce such a collection of diverse and constantly thought provoking stories is quite an achievement. The stories all have elements of fate and many have a dream like surreal content. Indeed dreams and their importance occur in several of the tales. Two that particularly stood out for me were the "Day I was born " that looked at how two people's lives born at the same time and at the same place can have dramatically different outcomes and "Chance" a story of fate and the possibility of predestined forces that may effect our future.

Well written, insightful, told in the first and third person these stories show the versatility of the author. There are many comedic, moving and indeed. profound elements to these stories which make you think of the randomness of life and how decisions taken sometimes without full thought can have lasting consequences. I thoroughly enjoyed these tales and can recommend this strongly to those who enjoy the short story format.
