So intense and incredible! I couldn’t put it down, this series is so addictive, like seriously!! I need to read more books from this author!

Great continuation of the series. Sexy and hot. Quick read too. Can't wait for the next in the series.

The saga continues on this quick exciting read. This book cannot be read as a standalone and it must be read as it's part of a trilogy.
There was not much development and more questions than answers.
On to book 3!

Danger, suspense, Passion and Cliff hangers those are the things that Lisa specializes in. In Poison Kisses she gives us that in spades. Seth and Amanda are battling their feeling for each other while fighting the feelings of betrayal and the danger that looms over their lives.
This book will quickly become an addiction and leave you wanted and waiting for the next two books in the series.
The passion between Amanda is evident by the first pages in this book making you want to know how their story unfolds.

Because this was a spin off of Lisa Renee Jones' Dirty Money series (which I loved!), I decided to ask for this one. I have to tell you, this one did not work for me. I felt like there were so many details from the Dirty Money series that you had to remember to keep going with the Poison Kisses serial. I was just a fan of this spin off.

Because of this, I will not be leaving a review as I do not think it would be fair to Lisa Renee Jones. I love her work, but this one just didn't work for me this time. I do want to binge read her Dirty Money series again to see if it changes my mind about her Poison Kisses serial, but that will not be anytime soon as I have other books that need my attentions as a blogger.

So this book picks up immediately from part one and is told from Amanda’s POV. Amanda’s mom calls to tell there is a “hit” out on Amanda and her parents. The person that was given the kill order is none other than Seth Cage aka The Assassin.

Seth & Amanda have been teamed up again to act as a husband & wife team. This time they are trying to stop a terrorist attack on the water supply in Texas. But while they are trying to find Dr. Ross and what his plans are, they circle each other trying to decide if they can trust each other. But the chemistry is so hot between Seth & Amanda it’s off the charts and maybe clouding judgements. Seth had been ready to propose to Amanda before she disappeared and caused the death of their handler.

This book also ends in a cliffhanger.

Yes, there is another cliffhanger but let me tell you this it is so worth it all to read it and get in on what the assasin and scientist a making happen. The past have lead them to this present and what happens next will let us know if they have a future and if so what type of future that will be. LRJ leads you on a set of twist and turns and you turn every page wanting to know what will be next. Watching Amanda and Seth sets you up for so much more to come, but you know you have to wait because there is another part.

Amanda and Seth's story continues in this book. They're still at each other's throats, battling their feelings and figuring out who'll dare pull the trigger first. He's the assassin who thinks she betrayed him, and now he wants payback. He will protect her only because he wants to kill her himself. It's dark and sexy if you ask me!

Lisa Renee Jones has again created a story that kept me intrigued from the beginning. We pick up with Seth and Amanda right where we left off in Part 1 as more is revealed about their history and the case they are currently assigned that affects their relationship and the one thing that comes to light that may tear them apart before the case is done with.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has lies, secrets, suspense, and heartbreak. This is a three part story so you need to be prepared to read the all the parts to get answers to all your questions.

Poison Kisses Part 1 (Poison Kisses #1)

This is more of Amanda and Seth’s story. He loved her, but she betrayed and left him. Now is his time to get his revenge. But first they must take out the bad guys. If they must be a little naughty to do it, then that is fine. They need to connect but not to fall again. I mean they are enemies, right? Or are they? The bad guys need to be taken out, but will they end up falling for each other while taking out the trash? A little naughty fun never hurt anyone right? They can get the revenge they need later right? Or are they about to just lose each other?

I loved these characters and the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book.

Freaking cliffies how I loath thee!

2 picks up where 1 ends, you get a little more, you get a lot of the back and forth with the two character's. A decent installment in the series the kept my attention and, was a quick read. The character's are hot/cold but all in all, likable. This is definitely one wild ride!!!

She's keeping on my toes! This book picks up right where the first one left off and now some of the pieces are coming together. I can't wait to find out what happens with these two!

Wow Part 2 takes off, grabs you and brings the story of Seth & Amanda to an incredible edge! After they both realize that their intense love for each hasn’t changed over the last 3 years, Seth & Amanda push past their doubts and focus on the imminent threat and also to uncover how they were both betrayed. Important glimpses of the past help fill the pieces of the puzzle. Just when things seem to be going well, information is disclosed that could blow these two apart or leave one of them dead! Can’t wait for Part 3!!!

It was time to get the answers, after some years apart, well I was waiting …

I hate you/ I love you side of the story was just a bit irritating at times and definitely going on circles. As we followed them into their mission, I was expecting more development. And I didn’t find it.

The thing is, as a novella, things are condensed for sure and I think the length of story didn’t serve Amanda and Seth, and the sense of being directly involved could have been great but it needed more development, more time to make it more believable.

Amanda and Seth were trying to trust each other again, but how could they make it possible, when everything seemed to tear them apart? Bringing more suspicion and resentment.

Once again, it was really repetitive. The answers came a little too late but the ending was definitely more interesting.

The story carries on nicely from part 1. Seth and Amanda’s relationship has become complicated, their past undercover setup has become all to real again, but Amanda receives information which makes her fear for her life. But can she trust the man who’s taken her heart, and does he return her feelings?
The story is really heating up, and they’re getting closer to the terrorist. But who put the contact out to kill Amanda and her parents? This is becoming an intense thriller, I loved it. It’s now time for the conclusion.

The second installment of the Poison Kisses Trilogy takes on a thrilling ride to uncover truths and find a madman set on taking lives. This novella length story was packed full of intrigue, suspense, and scorching chemistry. The questions kept building. The more we uncovered, the more questions I had. Add in the excitement and the concern about Franklin, and I was hooked.

I’m enjoying the anticipation that the cliffhangers have created for me. While I love cliffhangers, I know that many don’t, and this series really didn’t need to be a series due to the length of each novella. For me, the way these two parts have ended, have left me excited for more, ready to tackle the next part.

I can’t wait to see how Jones connects all the pieces in Part Three. With the danger increasing, I’m on the edge of my seat.

The suspense picked up in this second instalment, and I started to find myself caring more about the characters. However, I still found myself rushing to get to the end rather than truly enjoying the storyline. Ending, as ever, on a gross cliffhanger typical of Jones, I did enjoy the final build up and the horror as the plot came together. I hope the final instalment really grabs my attention as there is a lot of potential here; it's just a shame the serial format prevents such development.

Great series, this continues the story of Amanda Skye and Seth Cage and starts from where the previous book left us. Amanda and Seth are still trying to deal with their feelings of desire, attraction, betrayal and secrets.In this book we now know why Amanda disappeared and are left with several more questions. As this story shows glimpses into their past, Amanda and Seth truly loved each other and now in the present, that loved hasn’t died even though that love is being tested. They are being tested and are having to learn to trust each other all over, after what happened 3 years before. I think I liked this one a little bit more than the previous book!

Action and Suspense has always been a part of LRJ high impact romances. But this time around- WOW the sex is sizzling and hot. The only place Seth and Amanda feels safe to be themselves and not constantly look over their shoulder – is in flight. Yes baby, we are talking about a lot of Mile High Club action. Poison Kisses Part Two is a turbulent ride that does not give you a moment to sit back and buckle in. The action is pumping and the sex is dreamy. Seth and Amanda are everything you want in a couple with deadly banter. And the best supporting character of the story: Julie the cat. I love Seth’s interaction with Julie the Cat.
With Seth and Amanda on the hunt to track down Franklin Ross, the ex-CIA turned terrorist, the romance has heated back up! As highly skilled operatives they are dedicated to stopping the deadly toxin releasing in the water supply. Faced with what may be the most personal and deadly mission yet , Seth and Amanda join forces with Bear, their handler despite doubts of trusting him. Seth still doesn’t know who issued the kill order on Amanda and her family, however they have decided in order to complete the mission , they must trust each other. With this trust they fall back into the easy fray of love, sex and more sex. Its packed with sensual heat.
Seth is racing to clear his name with Amanda. Plus, he has some explaining to do when Amanda is faced with another harsh reality.
