I have discovered most of my new favorite writers on NetGalley. B A Paris is one of them. Her novels are filled with suspense and always keep me reading way too long into the night. I always end up talking about these books at work or with friends. "Bring Me Back" is so good. I can't wait to start telling people about it.

I thought it was ok because it went it too many directions for me to care about the characters Finn, Layla, Ellen and supporting characters Harry, Ruby and Tony. Finn has an anger problem and has left Ireland for England. Layla has fled her small English town to get away from her abusive dad and left her sister Ellen to care for her dad after their mother died. Layla a young naive girl arrives in London and the fast pace has her wide eyed and lost and Finn sees her helps out as Harry watches in dismay that she is not there problem. Finn and Layla fall in love and one night Layla is abducted from the rest stop that Finn makes to use the toilet. Police are involved and Finn is quickly absolved of her disappearance, but what really happened as Finn only tells most of the story to the police. 12 years later when Ellen and Finn decide to get married much to some folks opinion they shouldn't sightings of Layla appear and other occurrences that only Finn and Layla knew about. Bring Me Back was just kind of crazy when it was all revealed.

I read this book in a single day in May 2018. I rated it 4 stars on goodreads. Still not Behind Closed Doors but a wonderful wonderful book that left me thinking for a few days after. I've been recommending BA and her books to many people and this would be my second favorite (until The Therapist that is).

This thriller definitely kept me guessing. Paris did a great job of getting the characters voice on the page and the uncertainty of the situation. I never could quite decide if I really liked Finn or not.

I really liked this book, very clever and kept me interested the entire time. B.A Paris never disappoints!

I really liked this author and this book did not disappoint, it was an appropriately paced, page-turner that will have me hooked throughout the story.

I was given an ARC of Bring Me Back by B.A. Paris’ newest work thru NetGalley for a honest review. Thank you NetGalley for introducing me to a new, exciting, and enchanting story. Bring Me Back weaves a story of Finn and his girlfriend Layla. One night on the way home, Finn must pull over to a service station. After returning to his car, Layla is gone; however, her stuff is still in the vehicle. He frantically looks for her, but he cannot find her.
Fast forward 12 years and Finn has moved on. Finn found someone to fill his void, and it is Layla’s sister Ellen. Both seeking comfort because of the loss they both feel. However, something just below the surface is rolling to a soft boil and will continue until it boils over. Once it starts to boil over, there is nothing you can do about it, expect for deal with it. Deal with it you must or continue to suffer.

The summary of this book caught my attention right away - woman vanishes & years later when she returns he has made a new life with her husband. It's one of those 'how did we get here' things that I like.

What I didn't like as much was the main character. She was...a lot. I felt myself constantly wanting to know what was going to happen or be revealed next, but also annoyed by her when I don't think I was really supposed to be.

I think that I liked the main character more, I probably would have liked the book more as well. It's overall, kind of far fetched, but that's all part of the fun of fiction, right?

A twisted story of love and loss! I was captivated from the start, and even though the very idea all of this is so unfathomable, I still couldn't stop until I had answers. Even though I figured out what was actually going on fairly early, but I was still drawn to the disturbing characters, and wanted to know what made them tick, plus what ACTUALLY happened that night. A good thriller, but not one I'd read again.

Paris, B.A., Bring Me Back is a thriller that keeps you guessing because you don’t know who to trust. What part did Finn play in the disappearance of Layla twelve years previously? Can he trust Ruby or even his best friend Harry? Since he became engaged to Layla’s sister Ellen, Russian nesting doll pieces have begun appearing. Do they mean that Layla’s alive? I found myself begging Finn to tell the police about the dolls, but that might have meant no story.

A psychological thriller that starts with a a man and a woman on the way home from the trip, a rest stop and then a missing woman. The author jumps years into the future and this man has found love again and has proposed, but then life gets all turned upside down.

This one was just ok for me. I judge thrillers by the ending and without spoiling much, this ending just made me roll my eyes. I don't think I figured it our early, but just didn't love how the author concluded the book. I was riveted throughout wanting to know where the book was going to go and where this missing woman was, but the ending just didn't do it for me.

This is the first book I read by this author and I would read this author again with the hope that the writing is just as intriguing, but maybe the ending improves.

I read B.A. Paris's last novel and loved it and hated it all at the same time! I requested this one because I was curious but it ended up not being for me. I appreciate the opportunity to read it.

Hmmm...this book had promise as a thriller with serious mind games. Unfortunately it felt a bit flat. I didn’t care about Finn, Layla, or Ellen and other than Ruby and Peggy, no character really interested me. By the second half I found myself skipping over the inner dialogue and descriptions just to finish it faster.

I loved, loved, loved this book. Such an amazing author that keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time. You never know what is going to happen next and how it will end. Her novels always have a twist to the ending which I love.
Can’t wait to read her next work of art. Thanks Netgalley for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

Bring Me Back carries on the suspense until the very end. Throughout the book we are left wondering what happened between Finn and Layla.

Finn worked as a successful trader in London and meets Layla on New Year's Eve. She's beautiful, young and unsophisticated and looking for a youth hostel on New Year's Eve. Finn is drawn to her and opens up his home to her. He falls in love quickly and focuses on taking care of her, giving her everything she might want. But during one of their trips, Layla disappears.

Paris slowly reveals that Finn has been hiding something about the night Layla disappeared. We're not sure if he had killed her but just as Finn is about to marry Layla's sister Ellen mysterious messages arrive. There are sightings of Layla -- it seems that Layla might be alive and coming back to Finn.

Finn must decide whether to tell Ellen about the strange messages he has found and has begun to receive. Finn is torn -- Ellen is patient, kind, etc. but he misses Layla and her vivacity. Whichever choice he makes, Finn will hurt the woman he loves.

Finn's life and his great wealth draws you in. It is lovely to a life where after 7 years of work you have more money than you can spend in your lifetime. And still holding the skills and clients to continue to make money hand over fist. Then choosing to live wherever you might want, buying houses on impulse, working as much or as little as you like, buying anything you fancy, etc. But Finn's obsession with Layla was baffling and the way that he was constantly searching for her, being manipulated was frustrating. In the end, it was hard to care for the main characters. When the mystery is solved in the end, it ties together clearly but I'm not sad to see the end of Layla and Finn.

I received a free copy from NetGalley but before I got around to reading it, I read a hardcover copy for book club. It gave plenty to discuss for book club, so it was a good choice for that. The nesting dolls were a different twist and we were not sure we trusted any of the characters. The dog added a very "human" element that some of the characters were lacking.

Another psychological thriller by B.A. Paris. Having read many of her other books, I look forward to the next one. Unfortunately, as with books of this genre, it is hard to write a review without giving too much away.
