Oh, my Gosh!! B.A Paris is absolutely amazing! I knew after reading Behind Closed Doors I would need to read this book, and oh how right I was. This book was hard to put down and once I started I could not stop reading! I can not wait to order this book for my personal shelves at home! 5 stars and I would give a 10 if I could. I look forward to sharing this with my friends and making it one of our book clubs reads for 2018!

Thank you to NetGalley and B.A. Paris for providing me this copy in exchange for my review.

Had to let this one fully digest before I could write my review. 12-years ago Layla disappeared from a rest stop as Finn and Layla were coming back from a trip to Megeve, France. As the years have passed there has never been a clue as to how Layla went missing. Fast forward to the present, Finn is now engaged to Ellen, Layla's sister and little Russian dolls begin popping up along with cryptic emails that Layla may be alive after all. What follows is a series of twists and turns throughout the book that have you believing one thing and finally learning what happened to Layla that fateful day.

I am a big fan of B. A. Paris. From her debut book "Behind Closed Doors" which I was very impressed with and then "The Breakdown", I have become a big fan and could not wait to get my hands on her latest "Bring Me Back."

Finn is our main character, a bit different as the last two books were women narrators. Finn's girlfriend Layla vanishes while they are on vacation together. It is now 12 years later and he receives a little Russian doll, a reminder of Layla. Talk about creepy, those dolls were starting to creep me out a bit. Is she back, could it actually be her? I have to admit the plot was very far fetched to me and not all that believable. However, I was engaged completely in this book until the end and that last twist did surprise me. B. A. Paris has a way of writing that I really enjoy. I look forward to seeing what she comes up with next and will be eagerly awaiting her next book!

A big thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for allowing me an advanced copy of this book!

I don’t want to give anything away because this book doesn’t come out until August 2018. All I want to say is trust the blurb! Believe the hype! Buy the book! BA Paris has done it again. Thank you so much to Netgalley and St. Martins Press for my advanced copy. Another hit!

I big thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for granting me an advanced copy of Bring Me Back by B.A. Paris. This book will be available in your favourite bookstore on June 19, 2018.

This is a story of passion, loss, and damaged hearts. Twelve years ago, Layla disappeared from Finn's life in a very tragic way. Years later, he is dating Layla's sister, Ellen, and asks her to marry him. Soon after their engagement is published in the newspapers, Russian dolls start showing up everywhere and he receives emails from the one he thought he lost forever. The Russian dolls are sending a clear message to Finn: get rid of Ellen. Conflicted, Finn tries to solve this mystery, but there are too many lies and how can it be possible that Layla would still be alive? But is it Layla? Who would want Ellen out of his life?

Bring Me Back is a page turner which will leave an imprint on your thoughts. Every time I put the book down, I found myself thinking about the story to figure out the plot. Great book!

Dolls creep me out. Thanks so much, B. A. Paris, for adding Russian dolls to that list. Oh, and probably won't ever stop at a random bathroom along the highway ever again.

Many factors of Bring Me Back worked well together. The wishy-washy male main character Finn, web of relationships, and fluctuating emotions kept me reading and wondering....what will happen next? There was a frequent rehashing of details and evidence that got on my nerves, though it seemed to reiterate the point that Finn was mentally struggling. Though this wasn't exactly a thriller, nor was it super suspenseful,

I finished Bring Me Back over a week ago and have avoided writing a review because I still feel so conflicted. I really enjoyed the plot and after reading many (many) psychological thrillers, I can honestly say that this one is unique. BA Paris throws many curve balls and just when you think you have it figured out – you don’t!

That being said, none of the main characters – Finn, Layla or Emma – had any redeeming qualities. I kept wondering (hoping) one of them would come out the ‘good guy’ or the hero… don’t hold your breath.

I would give Bring Me Back 5-stars for plot, suspense and surprise but only 3-stars for characters.

BA Paris is an excellent author and I highly recommend her books (The Breakdown was my favourite). I will definitely be looking out for her next release.

I've read the other B.A. Paris books and enjoyed this one just as much! We see Finn engaged to Ellen and discover that years ago, he "lost" her sister, Layla when they were returning from a ski trip and she disappeared at a rest stop. Although he claims they were love and he was about to propose, he also admits that it "wasn't the whole truth." And so the secrets and the many layers to the novel begin as we are slowly exposed to the many deceptions of Finn and the other characters involved. Is Layla dead or have the several sightings of her been real? And who keeps leaving the little Russian dolls that appear and remind Finn of a story that connected the two sisters? The REAL truth isn't exposed until the very end, and like her other novels, it will thoroughly surprise you! Fast-paced and suspenseful (of course), this one does not disappoint!

The author's debut was a bit of a guilty pleasure for me. I had truly hoped that the issues I had with the first novel were just debut issues that'd be worked out in future books. I'm disappointed to say that I find the others formulaic and predictable. I feel that I can find better suspense elsewhere, but others might truly enjoy it if they aren't too heavily read in the genre.

Thanks to St Martin's Press and NetGalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I was very excited to read this book. I really enjoyed the author's previous books, however, I was a bit disappointed with this one.

The whole premise of the book sounded so exciting that I really really wanted to read the book. It started off interestingly enough but then just seemed to lose momentum. I actually found myself skipping some pages after a while, but I must admit that I was interested to know what had happened to Layla so I kept on till the end.

It is by no means a terrible book, but I don't think it's as good as her previous books. Needless to say, I will still be looking forward to all the author's new books.

I have read all of B.A Paris books and to be honest I found this one to be a little slow getting started....that being said once i got into it I enjoyed it.... I don’t want to give away the ending because that’s where it got really good. I didn’t see the twist coming....it was awesome! I am already looking forward to her next book!

I've heard many, many things about B.A. Paris' books, but haven't had the opportunity to read one before now. I was excited to read her latest new release, Bring Me Back.

This was a twisty turny thriller that definitely kept me turning the pages. The premise and some of the twists and secrets stretched credulity, but it was still an interesting book. None of the characters were very likable, which knocked my rating down a bit. Overall it is a pretty good book but not my absolute favorite.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me a copy for review.

First line: We were on our way back from skiing in Megeve.

Summary: On the way back from a holiday in France Finn’s girlfriend, Layla, goes missing. When he tells the police, he gives them the details but not all of them. Ten years later Finn is engaged. To Layla’s sister. When a neighbor claims to have seen Layla, Finn begins to wonder if maybe she is still alive. Then little Russian dolls start appearing in the mail and outside his home. Who is behind these mysterious figures? Is Layla still alive? What happened that night ten years ago in France?

Highlights: This was another fast paced novel from B. A. Paris. I liked the flashing back and forth at the beginning. Seeing what happened through Finn’s eyes at the time and how he is living ten years later. I was tense all the way through the book waiting for something to happen or shock me.

Lowlights: I figured out the surprise twist by the middle of the story. Maybe I have read too many thrillers recently or watched too many soap operas. Even with guessing the ending, I still found the story fun and intense.

FYI: A very quick read! Plus check out her debut novel, Behind Closed Doors.

3.5 stars

Have you ever read a book where you think "It was okay. I liked it." and then find yourself thinking about it and then realize that you enjoyed it much more than you initially thought. I had that experience with this book. Upon reading it, I kept thinking about it and the plot and realized that B.A. Paris pulled her plot twist off in a clever way. I also realized that there was a clue or two thrown in and although I read the words, I missed it but then had my "AHA!" moment a couple of hours after finishing the book. This is also a book, I thought I had figured it out, and was wrong. I love when this happens. I really enjoy when an Author surprises me.

A young Couple, Finn and Layla are traveling through France when they pull over and Finn goes into the restroom. When he comes back to the car, his girlfriend/fiancé is missing. An investigation ensues but Layla is never found. She has completely vanished. Her belongings are still in the car but there is no sign of her. She is never seen or heard from again. What happened to her? Finn is devastated and isolates for a long time.

Finn, is finally ready to move on with his life and has found love again - with Layla's sister, Ellen. Drawn together in their grief, they form a relationship which becomes romantic. Now, they are engaged to be married and everything seems to be going great. Then one day, Ellen finds a missing Russian doll which she lost when she was a child. Only three people know about the Russian Dolls: Ellen, Finn and Layla.

Then Finn also begins to find more Russian dolls and receives messages from an unknown person who later reveals herself as Layla.

Welcome to Finn's nightmare. Is Layla still alive? Is someone toying with him? Why get in touch now? What do the messages and dolls signify? Finn suspects anyone and everyone. Who wouldn't be freaked out.

Oh, what a tangled web we weave!

Was this my favorite B.A. Paris book? No! But as I said, she did a great job crafting her story. She had me thinking about it hours after finishing the book. This book moves at a very nice pace and for me was a fast read. The mystery of what really happened the night Layla went missing and who is leaving behind the dolls and sending email messages really drive the story.

So why not a higher rating? I still felt there were some unanswered questions and the need to suspend some disbelief. I also felt the ending was a little rushed. But overall an enjoyable suspense/thriller/mystery.

This book kept me guessing, I think I guessed everything that was a possible ending, and still I was wrong. When they tell you it's a page turner and you'll never guess the ending, this time it's the truth. Like her two previous books, this is what you hope a thriller will be.

Bring Me Back / BA Paris / Thriller

A young British couple are driving through France on vacation when they stop at a service station. He runs in to use the restroom, she stays in the car. When he returns, her car door has been left open, but she’s not inside. No one ever sees her again.

There is a line at the beginning of this book that says “It was the truth. But not the whole truth” . This is the epitome of a BA Paris story and every time it creeps me out. This story took off immediately and did not slow its pace once. She guides you into so many tricks and suspicions that lead you so far from the “whodunit” that when you do find out who did what you just stare at the book in awe. It takes you from France to England to Scotland and into the strange and evil things that obsessed people will do for love. I highly recommend this book and give it 4 stars!

I received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. From the first few pages, this book pulls you in and does not let go. Finn is madly in love with Layla. While returning from vacation, Layla disappears from the car. Finn searches desperately for her for many years, before meeting and falling in love with her sister, Ellen. With Finn and Ellen set to marry, strange items begin showing up at their home, causing them to believe that Layla is still alive. This book had many twists and secrets, and I thought I had it figured out several times, only to be proven very wrong in the end. I did not see that ending coming at all. Quick read, difficult to put down.

Well it's safe to say that this author has produced another outstanding brilliant and gripping read. I don't know how she does it but wow. She really does just have a clever way with words that leaves you gasping and wanting more.

The story and the characters engaged with you straight away, it was great getting to know them all and trying to figure how it will all end. You really do feel like you know Layla, Ellen and Finn for real as you become entwined in their story, although there are plenty of moments where you still don't know who is trust. It was all so very well written.

I did kind of guess the twist come the end but it didn't spoil my enjoyment of the story at all.

I read this book in two sittings would have been one if it wasn't for the fact I had to sleep and then go to work. Kind of hate it when real life gets in the way lol.

So bottom line, highly recommend this book and I can't wait for the next book from this author.

B.A. Paris has been one of my go to authors since Behind Closed Doors! This book was amazing and hooked me from the first page. I didn't see any of the twists coming at all and the twist at the end of the book was a big OMG to me! If you are looking for a book that keeps you guessing then this book is for you! This is a book that I am going to be thinking about for the days and weeks to come! I would recommend this book to everyone!
Thanks Netgalley and St. Martin's Press for an advanced copy of this book!
