Yeah, I guess it'd be hard to date.

Who fights at a funeral?

Frankie. Do you want to be the murdered girl on the news?

Ruh-roh.

Interesting impression you're making here, Eric.

Yeesh, don't I feel safer knowing I don't live in this town. Landry's the village idiot, clearly.

Omigawd, i'm dyin'! I wanna yell "Family meetin'!"

This book is making me hungry.

Really, Marnette? Would you like to be the one who buries people, then? Because I'm sure Frankie could use the help.

Wait, that's it?

4.5 Stars!!!

I seriously LOVE this series! Molly Harper has created fantastic characters and to be honest, I hope this series never ends! I was so excited to head back on down to Lake Sackett, Georgia to catch up with the McCready crew! In Peachy Flippin’ Keen, we get to know Frankie McCready and Eric Linden (the new town sheriff) a little better. This novella sets you up for the next full length novel in this Southern Eclectic series (due out in June). If you are in the mood for a quick read that you won’t be able to put down, than this is absolutely the book for you!

Being part of the McReady family in Lake Sackett has both its pros and cons. Pro: you're constantly surrounded by people who love you and take and interest in your life. Con: you're constantly surrounded by people who love you and take an interest in your life. On top of that add an extremely small town, and you can guess your actions are always under the microscope. It's for that reason that Frankie McCready, town coroner, likes to get out of town when she wants to have some fun and, ahem, other stuff.

But worlds collide when it turns out her one-night-stand happens to be the new town sheriff. And while things were hot between the sheets, she's suddenly feeling the chills as he doesn't seem too happy to see Frankie again. On top of all that, apparently someone has decided to start a prank war with the McCready's and Frankie is determined to figure out who's behind the pranks before they go too far.

At first when I started reading Peachy Flippin' Keen, I was a bit disappointed that Frankie's story would be relegated to that of a novella. For me, she's one of the most standout members of the McCready clan with an interesting outlook on life, and I felt like there had to be more to her story than a novella.

Happily, Peachy Flippin' Keen reads just like an introduction. Like Molly Harper is getting us primed and ready for Frankie's story and it's just so big that it couldn't be contained within one book :)

Some might find this frustrating as much of the forward momentum of the story doesn't really go anywhere by the end, but for me, it just gets me excited for when we finally get Frankie's book. The connection between Frankie and Eric the new town sheriff is undeniable. I can't wait until things get fully hashed out between them.

Overall, this one is a great set-up for, hopefully, what's to come.

With wit, snark, and a snappy dialog...not to mention a cast of quirky characters you can't help but find endearing, Ms Harper has created a novella involving Lake Sackett, Georgia's quirky coroner Frankie McCready and the new sheriff in town, Eric Linden...having had a previous out of town (for Frankie) anonymous "one night stand" doesn't make things between them uncomfortable at all when they meet again, of course not. All these variables are sure to leave you laughing and wondering just what could happen next to top off the latest happenings at this quaint tourist town.
