While this book did keep me up to figure out "who done it" I did find somethings a little eyeroll worthy. In this book vs the first Tessa seemed a little more whiney and helpless. But maybe that was just due to my state of mind while reading? I'm not sure. I did really enjoy it though. I did not see the ending coming AT ALL which is always good! I hope there is third in the series! I do enjoy the format of having social media, police reports, and traditional prose to tell the story. A.V. Geiger is a fantastic storyteller!

Thank you to Netgally and Sourcebooks for providing an ARC for me to review.

he number of people who used social media everyday is rapidly increasing. That even kids at the age of five already knows how to use phones, an iPad and computer. Let's be honest,  using the internet and social media like facebook, instagram, twitter and snapchat is really a big help for us especially in communicating. But do we really know the consequences that we have to endure by using it in a wrong way? If no, then, let's find out what are the scary things that could happen to us by using different social media platform in a wrong way.

Tell Me No Lies is the second book continuing what left us hanging from Tessa and Eric story in Follow Me Back. Just like the first book, Tell Me No Lies is written with police interview transcript, twitter conversation, direct messages or DMs and lastly, Snapchat chat conversations which you cannot find in the first book. Just like what I said earlier, reading the book is where we can learn that using social media platform is not a safe place to tell our whereabouts and private things.

The characters are lovely. They are the characters that depict how a character should act in a story. It is where a character should compliment the other characters. They are the one who doesn't uprise the other character just to have an exposure. The love story is also good. I love that even Tessa and Eric show minimalist efforts, they still let me feel the love they have for each other.

With regards with the story, I like how it is told in way that let us readers to think and imagine what would happen next. It also pushed us to act, think like a police to solve who the suspect is.

To tell you frankly, I'm already half way reading and enjoying Tell Me No Lies that I've come to realized that it is actually the second book. With what happen to me, I should feel that the story is confusing but no. What I actually feel is good. Good in a way that even without reading the first book unconsciously, I still enjoy and understand what is happening and what it is really all about. And that people, is a book could contain and possess. That even without realizing that is it the second book, we still can enjoy reading it.

There are a lot of mystery and thriller books out there. But Tell Me No Lies is a book that everyone should read as it is a book that will let readers to hang tight in their chair and be hungry for more.

I absolutely adored Follow Me Back and was super excited to get an advanced copy of Tell Me No Lies from the publisher. It didn't disappoint.

It's hard to review this book without giving away any spoilers, but if you couldn't get enough of Follow Me Back you'll be thrilled with this sequel. Tell Me No Lies begins right where the first book left off, and you're immediately thrown into the action with Tessa and Eric Thorn who are currently battling police investigations, a new mystery, and the pitfalls of fame. This book held my attention the whole time, and kept me flipping pages as the plot twisted and surprised me. It was a perfect YA thriller with romance you can count on, social media themes done really well, and likable characters.

Tell Me No Lies met my expectations. It had me at the edge of my seat every turn of a page I make.

So many things happened in this book that I almost couldn’t pick up. Just when you're so sure of something, it'll be proven wrong the very next chapter you read. I guess that's part of the excitement thriller mysteries have.

Tell Me No Lies started with a revelation that Dorian Cromwell is actually alive — I KNOW, First chapter and there are already surprises! It was also revealed that Tessa and Eric staged the whple murder crime to escape.

About Tessa and Eric's relationship: when Maury finally found them and threw Eric back to the media... I felt pity for Tessa. It's just that, whilst the other person is struggling (Tessa) the other (Eric) just assumes that the first person is doing just fine without the second person doing anything. I know Eric's just busy and he's also thinking about Tessa's safety but still...

Anyway, I'm glad that that pity only lasted for a moment because after that, the whole internet world found out about them and they can finally talk to each other in public and be there whenever one or the other needs help.

I knew from the first book that MET is not just some over-active fan who's always first on evverything Eric Thorn but for MET to be Maury? Eric's manager? I didn’t see that coming. All along I really thought MET and Blair are somewhat partner's in crime — literally. 😂

Speaking of Blair, who would've thought he will actually be Tessa's savior? I still don’t like his obsession with Tessa but atleast he decided to no longer follow Tessa wherever she goes and just wait for Tessa to come to him. Not that that's ever going to happen though. (hehehe)

Can we also just talk about Dr. Reagan because oh my dear did I not see that coming AT ALL. For her to be wound up dead all of a sudden? Geez. I have all these theories and A.V. Geiger keeps proving me wrong!

About The Ending: honestly, it felt almost flat to me. I just think there are so much happening that it kind-of just felt like watching a fast forwarding movie. But other than that, I really enjoyed seeing Tessa's improvements on how she handles her mental health. I feel so proud of her.

Tell Me No Lies is a fast paced read with twists and turns in every chapter. I could not put this book down.

Everyone thinks that Eric Thorn is dead, and that Tessa was the one who killed him. In reality, Tessa and Eric escaped the clutches of Blair, Tessa's creepy stalker, as well as all the other crazy Eric Thorn fans by running away to Mexico. Everything is working out great for them, until Eric's celebrity friend comes back to life after faking his own death, and is now asking Eric for help. The only problem with returning to the spotlight is that everyone is after Eric and Tessa, and the people who were once close to them can no longer be trusted.

I absolutely loved the first book in this series, and this one definitely didn't disappoint. Just like the first book, I read this one in a day because I could not put the book down. It is a fairly short read, but theres so much action in every chapter that you just cant put it down.

I really liked both Tessa and Eric. Tessa had such a huge character development in the first book, I never thought that she could top it in the second book, but she definitely did. Tessa continues to impress me, especially as she's working through her problems and comes to terms with her own issues. Their romance is absolutely wonderful, I shipped them from beginning to end.

Overall, I loved the pace of the book, the characters and all the plot twists that I didn't see coming. This book was definitely a lot more unpredictable than the first, and the character development was phenomenal. I will be looking forward to reading more book from this author in the future.

I want to give my thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for giving me this ARC to read. I truly enjoyed this book. Tell Me No Lies is the follow up book to Follow Me Back and this one really held my interest. After the end of of Follow Me Back where Eric turned up missing I am sure we all wanted to know what happened to him. Tessa is certainly an interesting character. She is definitely not the most lovable of characters but she is interesting. I really don't want to give much away but just let me say that this book is definitely a good ride and an enjoyable thriller. I will definitely recommend it.

After reading Follow Me Back I couldn’t wait to read the next book. I mean, I need the second book ASAP because of the cliff hanging ending. So when I found out about the release of Tell Me No Lies, I pushed my luck and messaged Viv (A.V. Geiger) if I could host the blog tour. Honestly speaking, in that way, I could read the second book before every one else.

Tell Me No Lies continues to tell the story of Tessa and Eric. It is in three POVs: Eric, Tessa and Blair. YES. You read it right, we get to read Blair’s POV here. And this fact made me thrilled because I’ve been dying to know his thoughts and where he is coming from since the first book.

As Tessa and Eric explored new social media platform, Snapchat, it made me realize that we will never be secured in any platform. There will always be a way to hack someone else’s devices, and it made me scared and paranoid.

All twists shookt me big time, especially the turn of events at the end. That really leave me insane. I really couldn’t believe that I had a hunch about it on the first book but decided to disregard it because I don’t have any concrete basis. But then I read it on second book confirming my theory and I literally throw my phone. Moreover, the interrogations intensifies the scenes and messed me big time as well.

The story is in good pace, relatable and you wouldn’t want to stop reading when you get started. The characters are intense and captivating. I’m glad that Tessa is trying her best to fight her anxiety and be better. In my observation, Eric is impulsive most of the time and there is shared disorder between him and Tessa. I am grateful to be a Psychology major because I get to analyze the situation in psychological perspective. Further, I’m surprised with the roles of other characters in the story. I couldn’t even imagine it. However, there is only one thing that I didn’t like in this book. It is Blair‘s POV, because I am expecting darker plans/side of him here.

If you are in a fandom, you will most likely relate to this duology and you’ll be surprised with the darkest stories of being a celebrity and in fandom. Moreover, I have learned a lot from this book as a fan. First, do not trust anyone even if s/he is the most trustful person for you. Second, think carefully before you act. Third, your fascination with someone (celebrities or anyone else) won’t last long, it’s only temporary. Last, only trust yourself.

Tell Me No Lies is dark, thrilling, engaging and jaw dropping. Highly recommend this book to anyone who’s interested to read dark stories in fandom.

Tell me no lies picks up a few months after Follow me back, with police interview transcriptions, once again, The book got off to a slow start and didn't pick up until later the characters still suck. As much as I wanted to sympathize with Tessa and Eric I couldn't because neither deserved it. Yes all the questions you were left with in Follow me Back are answered, and then more teenage drama. I did like the way the book was written, bouncing back and forth with the police transcripts, to get an accurate picture of the story. This was definitely a page turner, also picked up towards the second half of the book. As I stated that wasn't a fan of Tessa but she deserves more character development.

For some reason, I found it much harder to get into Tell Me No Lies than Follow Me Back. Once it got to a rolling boil I couldn't put it down, but I had to wait for that water to heat up for what felt like a million long, painful years.

Well, this book did not disappoint. I loved the first one of the series, and this one is just as full of twists and turns that I didn’t see coming.

I received an e-copy of this book from the publisher, through NetGalley, in exchange for a honest review.

After the epic cliffhanger that was Follow Me Back, I’ve been dying for answers so I was super excited to get an ARC of this sequel, Tell Me No Lies. Geiger definitely didn’t disappoint! Without giving away too much, many of the questions we were left with in Follow Me Back were (thankfully) answered fairly early in the story but just as quickly, they were replaced with new ones. The author displays an incredible talent for drawing the reader in that makes for the kind of book you accidentally stay up all night reading. There are not many other authors that I have read that manage to genuinely surprise me but Geiger gets me every time. She has mastered the most subtle art of foreshadowing. The kind that isn’t immediately detectable as you’re reading but once the bomb drops, makes you think back & wonder why you didn’t see it coming. Fortunately, we readers aren’t alone with that feeling...the two central characters in Tell Me No Lies are subjected to the same type of “how did I miss it?” moment on multiple occasions. When we leave Tessa & Eric this time, it is with much more closure than the first book but with just enough left up in the air to leave room for another installment. I am looking forward to seeing what Geiger has in store for us next!

Tell Me No Lies picked up right where Follow Me Back left off. The format is the same with police transcripts, and social media conversations being intertwined in the story. There were a lot of twists and turns, as you are trying to figure out the mystery. I didn’t love this one as much as the first one. But, I think you do need to read it to get the answers you were looking for after Follow Me Back's cliffhanger. So, if you loved Follow Me Back, definitely read Tell Me No Lies.

Tell Me No Lies picks up where Follow Me Back leaves us. Tessa has terrible anxiety and agoraphobia. Eric is a rock star. They fall in love or do they? I enjoyed this book but felt it was a little lacking, it definitely left me wanting.

Tell Me No Lies picks up with Tessa right after the events of Follow me back. Such an astonishing sequel. This book lives up to the first one and maybe even surpasses it. It contains more suspense and more romance. After the cliff hanger I was awaiting the day when the second one would be here. I was also dreading it because sequels are almost never as good as the first book. But this book breaks that mold and goes above and beyond expectations.

Fist of all, the character development is fantastic and a lot more intricate then the first book. Not only are new characters added to the mix that really make things crazy, we get to see new sides of old characters and more back story on them growing up and what brought them to this point. The context that gets added in help us to understand the characters even more.

Next, the plot twist actually do their job and take you by surprise. I can't tell you how many books I've read that I totally saw the "plot twists" coming or the ending was way to predictable. I've read a lot of books so I can often guess at whats going to happen. But this book totally threw me for a loop. The puzzle pieces in the mystery didn't fit together until the very end. It was a totally unpredictable ending which is what mysteries are supposed to be.

There are numerous other things that make this book excellent but if I said them for all this post would be way to long. A.V. Geiger is such an amazing author and I can't wait to see what she does next.

Thank you to the author and publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review!!

I first discovered this author when Follow Me Back released! I read that on in one sitting and fell in love with the characters! I couldn’t wait to see what would become of the two in this one! It was very captivating and I enjoyed every moment spent reading!

I have some mixed feelings about Follow Me Back, but after that cliffhanger? I NEEDED to know what happened to Eric. Seriously, you cannot end a book in that fashion and expect me to just be okay!

After the mysterious ending that was Follow Me Back, Eric Thorn goes missing. Tell Me No Lies picks up right where the cliffhanger left off, and we learn pretty quickly what happened. Just like the format in Follow Me Back, Tell Me No Lies alternates between third person narrative and police interrogation transcripts. There are also lots of chat transcripts from Twitter and Snapchat. I’m a huge fan of chat transcripts and mixed media formats, so I was happy to see this again in the sequel.

Lately I haven’t been a huge fan of YA thrillers but honestly? I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I buddy read the ARC with Jen at Pinot and Pages, and we both devoured it within one day. We could not put it down. Is the writing the best? No. Are the characters the greatest? No. Is it a page turner? YES. There were so many red herrings and twists that I honestly didn’t know who to trust.

Tell Me No Lies once again follows Tessa, who is under police interrogation… AGAIN. Not only is she hiding something, but some new (and old) characters come into play. And as if these characters never learned their lesson before, they go back on social media where it, AGAIN, ruins their lives.

And, yes, while there were so many (so. many.) times I wanted to punch Tessa in the face, I loved how Geiger was able to keep me interested and engaged the whole time. The obvious theme is how far we can get carried away with social media, how dangerous that other person at the end of the internet can be, and how we can’t trust anybody. This also brings up the notion that we now live in a society where we are basically monitored 24/7. We really can’t hide. Ever.

Tell Me No Lies does read like a young teen novel, so that’s something to keep in mind if you’re not a fan of constant social media speak. The characters don’t have a lot of growth and the scenarios are unbelievable. But hey, the mystery had me on the edge of my seat the whole time, and I really enjoyed the ride!

Lastly I’d like to mention this book discusses mental health (especially anxiety and agoraphobia) a lot so please proceed with caution if this topic may be a trigger for you.

Tell Me No Lies releases on June 5, 2018. Thank you so much to Sourcebooks Fire for the digital ARC!

I couldn’t believe that I was able to get an ARC of this! Follow Me Back was one of my favorite books that gripped me from beginning to end. Let’s not even get started on the ending! When I started to read this I was a bit disappointed that it was just so anti-climatic. It’s the anticipation of it and being upset it’s over. The story continues on with more deceit and stalkers and untrustworthy people. People did and there are some that try to set people up. Everyone is deceiving everyone! What an amazing sequel. Nothing is what it appears. And the scariest person may just be the superhero.

3.5/5 stars for Tell Me No Lies. Mild spoilers may be below if you've not read Follow Me Back.

Our emotional roller coaster picks up right where it left off at the end of book one, and all of your major questions are answered within the first chapter. I thought this meant that I'd lose interest in this book fairly quickly - after all, book one was straight-up average for me until the very last chapter - last page, even! And then BAM! Cliff hanger to suck me back in. So of course I had to jump at the chance to read book 2. Once my questions were answered, I was a little worried I'd resort to skimming through this book. That wasn't the case at all. As my questions were answered, more were created, and suddenly I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. I HAD to know what happened. And Geiger did not disappoint. Let's get down to it:

WHAT I LOVED:
-The PLOT TWISTS. Even if I saw them coming, I have to applaud Geiger for her creativity here. Anybody can write a YA book about a girl who falls in love with a pop star, but I was impressed with how the author also managed to weave in stalking, murder, mental health, and the dangers of the latest technology into the plot.
-The mixed media. Each part is broken up by transcripts from a police interview, just like book 1, and I loved those portions. If you didn't read them carefully, you missed some pretty important info. I love books that have mixed media, and these were no exception.
-Can you say page turner? I picked this book up this morning and pretty much held it in my hands until I finished it. I did not put it down. I did not pass go. I did not collect 200 dollars. This was a fast paced, easy read that held your attention until the very end.

WHAT I DIDN'T:
-This book is pretty juvenile, and the things that made me roll my eyes in book 1 still exist. There is a LOT of lingo and focus on social media like Twitter and Snapchat, and I'd say about once a chapter I'd ask in my head, "Seriously?" I also wanted to punch Tessa in the face probably at least 5 times.
-There is not once thing that happens in this book that is realistic. Not. One. If you have good suspension of disbelief, then you can read this book. If not, take a pass. Not to mention : HOW STUPID CAN THESE TWO TEENAGERS BE? You literally made the same exact mistakes in the last book. DID YOU NOT LEARN? Ok rant over.
-The predictability. Like I mentioned above, I was impressed with the plot twists. However, I was also able to guess 90% of them, including two of the biggest twists at the end. Luckily for me, that didn't make it any less enjoyable.

Bottom line: This was a quick, enjoyable page-turner with moderate predictability and average character development but a pretty unique story line. I definitely think I would have enjoyed this book more without the social media references - what happened to just plain texting? - but I also think the point the book makes about social media/new technology, and how none of it is really all that secure, is interesting and extremely relevant. There are definitely some lessons to be learned here. This book was average for me but I gave it an extra half a star simply because I enjoyed it.

Tell Me No Lies releases June 5th.

It was an okay book as it was but I certainly didn't fall head over heels with it. An okay book to read once but wouldn't read it again.

After I had finished this book, I didn’t know that there was another one in the series. They may or may not affect my review. With that being said let me start my review.

This book was really interesting. I haven’t read anything like it. I’m going to have to go back an read the first one now to get the full affect of Tessa and Eric’s story.

Tessa and Eric both have interesting attributes about them. Tessa has Agoraphobia and Eric is a pop star. These two characters together make an amazing pair.

This book deals with some major issues like mental health, bullying and much more. It’s all relevant to today and I loved that about this book.

I loved that this book had a happy ending. Kinda hoped for more but it did do It justice.
