March is going to be filled with exciting new releases! I'm especially looking forward to getting my hands on Orphan Monster Spy and Frat Girl.

I love getting new editions of Buzz Books. The March 2018 edition had two books in particular that stuck out to me.

Sometimes I lie by Alice Feeney seems captivating. The cover is beautiful, with an image of a woman falling through space. There is something very compelling about the title as well. It makes me automatically assume that the narrator is unreliable. Overall it just sounds great. The narrator is in a coma, but she can hear what is happening around her, and wants to know how she ended up in the situation she is in. It certainly grabbed my attention and I can hardly wait to read it.

The second book that really grabbed my attention is one that I have seen the preview for once already. Orphan Monster Spy, by Matt Kileen. This book seems CRAZY fast paced. By the end of the preview (both times) I was anxious, which I feel is just about the best praise a book can get. I need to know what happens next!!

As always, the March issue of Buzz Books Monthly does not disappoint. It contains excerpts from five novels and three YA novels, giving you a nice sample of what March has in store. In addition to the excerpts, there is also a listing of March publications. A great resource!

Time to grab your copy of March 2018 Buzz Books Monthly from Publishers Lunch. These regular updates are a great source of ideas for future purchases and requests from NetGalley. Following a general format, this month's edition includes a list of soon-to be published books. Several are from familiar names -- for example, Tom Rachman's The Italian Teacher (Viking 3/20) or C. J. Box's The Disappeared (Putnam 3/27). I am looking forward to reading Memento Park (FSG, 3/13) by Mark Sarvas and I was Anastasia (Doubleday, 3/27) by Ariel Lawhon amongst others. This issue of Buzz Books also contained excerpts from several books, including some love stories, but I am most curious to read all of Kelly Roache's FRAT GIRL in which Cassie proposes to pledge Delta Tau Chi in order to afford college with a scholarship for researching the misogynistic behavior of the frat boy members.

Less exciting than I often find the samplers - did actually convince me I'm not ready to request a book I was previously pretty excited about. As always, thanks!

I wait for this every month and so glad I no longer go searching for "buzz" books - having this available is like getting a birthday present once a month!

Thank you NetGalley and Publishers Lunch!!!

This book was not what I thought. Though taking time to have a read I think it would be very useful.

I found a few books here to add to my wish list. I already downloaded one. I really like the lists that tell me what new books are being released each week. Those lists give me an idea of what to watch for at the library.

Always a pleasure to see the next edition of Buzz Books Monthly from Publishers Lunch. This month it lists the March publishing preview which includes Literary Favorites and Emerging Talents, Debut Fiction, Commercial Fiction, Nonfiction and books deserving extra attention as well as a week-by-week schedule of more titles of note. There are also excerpts of the following novels: Happiness by Aminatta Forna, The Heart Between Us by Lindsay Harrel, Hot and Badgered by Shelly Laurenston, Auntie Poldi and the Sicilians Lions by Mario Giordano and Sometimes I Lie by Alice Feeney. There are also excerpts of the following young adult fiction: Orphan Monster Spy by Matt Killeen, Twelve Steps to Normal by Farrah Penn and Frat Girl by Kiley Roache. Altogether a very useful reader's advisory.
