This short, engaging book for toddlers is bright and colorful. I've been looking out for books with diversity, and this precious little girl is perfect. I believe it will appeal to young kids who enjoy imaginative play with their toys, as mine did.

Another great Zaza book. I can see this being a great hit with children leading up to or on their birthday. The story is very short, but perfect for that "one more book please" at bedtime. The illustrations were perfection, and the colors were vibrant and perfect for young children. Such a happy and cheerful book. I simply loved it.

I have received a much appreciated digital copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Rose is a stuffed animal. It's Rosie's birthday. Zaza (a little girl) makes a party for her with presents. The childlike and colorful illustrations will appeal to toddlers. A short, read-it-to-me picture book.

Simply written and brightly colored this book will appeal to young readers who like to look at the pictures. The story is predictable, but in a good way that will feel reassuring and soothing to young children.

I’m always looking for poc on picture books and am delighted to add this to my list.

Zaza is having a birthday party for her stuffed toy Rosie. She loves to imagine and have fun and this will be the ultimate party to throw for her friend.

She sits Rosie on a chair and then proceeds to sit a shiny handmade crown on her head to signify that she is the guest of honour. She gathers all her other stuffed toys around Rosie because of course they too are invited to the fancy soiree. The group even has a special present for the darling little red bear.

But first they have to sing the happy birthday song, stuff themselves with cake and tea and ... but wait... Zaza takes inventory and notices that her stuffed bunny Pinkie is missing from the celebrating guests. Oh my, wherever could she be?

Oh well, there's no time to go find her now because everyone is in ultra party- mode and Rosie's present is up next to open. Zaza helps Rosie untie the ribbon and then peels back the wrapping paper, when she finally opens the box she discovers a tiny tip of a little pink ear sticking out.... can you guess what or who may be inside?

What a fun book! Little ones always adore birthday parties and will enjoy guessing who is tucked away inside that box to make the party... picture party perfect! The illustrations are bright and colourful and the simple storyline is spot on for that age group. I highly recommend this book.

As a parent of 3 year old twins this book is a little young for them but would have been perfect 12 months ago. Having said that sometimes my kids just want to read a quick book and this book is certainly a good choice for that purpose.

Although this is a simple story I could see my kids making instant connections with Zaza and Rosie (for my daughter it was her toy Green Cat and for my son it was Scruffy – a grey toy cat) with how they played together. This book is about how a young child can pretend play with her toys. How they set up a party and pretend to share, to give, to celebrate – all of which encouraging imagination use versus being entertained by something or someone else. Due to the easy language and storyline this book would be perfect if you were in need of a book for Text-to-Self activities – I think a high number of children do this type of play at some point – and mine are still doing it at 3 1/2.

Another positive is that because of the simple nature of this book it would be especially beneficial to ESL/ELL students in a preschool or childcare setting.

This is a short and sweet story about Zaza throwing a birthday party for her cuddly toy, Rosie. It's nice to see Rosie using her imagination to celebrate a birthday, and would be a nice book to read on the eve of a young one's birthday. Anyone much older though, and I feel that this book falls a little flat. There's not much to entertain and nothing to make it stand apart from other children's books.

Zaza has gathered all of her stuffed friends together to celebrate Rosie's birthday.. Using a little bit of her imagination, traditional birthday party activities unfold through the words and lovely, bright illustrations.

Celebrate with ZaZa tells the tale of a young girl throwing a birthday party for her bear. A simple story that will be enjoyed by babies and toddlers alike. Simple text and bright colors will be enjoyable to follow for little ones. I also loved ZaZa's deep skin tone and natural hair style. Diverse books are so important for all ages of readers, from babies to teens!

It's Rosie's birthday and Zaza knows just how to celebrate--with a special crown, stuffed animal friends, and a happy song. Even when you think a friend is missing, the party goes on and everyone has fun celebrating with Rosie and Zaza. Originally published as "Zaza vert feest" in Belgium and Holland, this Book, "Celebrate with Zaza," can bring a birthday smile to young readers and their special animal friends. A familiar story with different faces is a welcome for beginner readers who enjoy familiar tales. Expect this 3-star read from Mylo Freeman and Clavis Publishing in May 2018.

One of Zaza’s toys is having a birthday, so it’s a perfect excuse to throw a party.
I’m confused: wouldn’t the present she got for the toy be considered regifting?
Unlike the previous book in this series I read, Zaza does appear to be smiling a few times. On the other hand, the colors are a lot more muted than that previous one.
3.5 pushed up to 4/5

A cute and fun little book where the mistress of this ceremonial party is Zaza, she is having loads of fun with her invited guests, (her stuff toys, which include Rosie the star of the moment and the others). This cute, colorful book, with its vibrant illustrations, is educative, it teaches kids how to use their imaginations and have a great time doing it.

This book was ok but I expected a better story - will entertain those that are very young but for older readers it doesn't have enough of a story to read more than once. Nice images but a little too basic in the story for me to give any higher than 3 stars sadly.

It is a nicely written book with lovely illustrations about enjoying friendship and being together. Useful especially for toddlers learning their first social skills and basic human interactions.
