Two authors that are a perfect compliment to each other in every way. I received an ARC of The Sixth Day in return for an honest review. To think that this could actually happen in our world today with all of the high tech gadgets and brilliant minds, we are doomed. Drones are everywhere and the evil they can be used for has not even been touched.. The mastermind assassin and his twin brother will keep you on edge throughout the book - I found myself not breathing in many parts until I finished the scene. Thank goodness for Covert Eyes and their brilliant team...it's back and forth - good vs evil. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it for anyone that loves a fast moving suspenseful thriller.

In The Sixth Day (Gallery Books 2018), Book 5 in Coulter's popular Brit in the FBI series, the stars, Special agents Nicholas Drummond and Michaela Caine are trying to take a much-overdue vacation, this one in England to see Nicholas' family. Before they even settle in, Nicholas' father asks him to help with a ransomware problem that has shut down his company computers and the FBI asks him (since he's already in England) to check out the suspicious death of a German political leader who drops dead in front of 10 Downing Street. With the aid of Drummond's genius computer geek, the ransomware is quickly solved solve but not so the death. In fact, Drummond and Caine tie it to several other suspicious deaths that were previously considered natural causes and are now looking more like murder. The weapon of choice: drones.

In a time when drones are all over the place with little control and lots of variety, this addresses the terrifying fear of how easily they can be weaponized. My one complaint is that too often, the author goes a sentence too far in explaining his points. I get it, move on, and he's still talking. It makes me want to skip ahead. Not good for a murder mystery. But, I've read every book in this series, enjoyed them all, so there's no chance I won't keep reading because of a pesky complaint about too many words.

While members of the Covert Eyes team are taking a much-needed break, things start to heat up in London. Several important political figures die within days of one another, making some wonder if there's not something going on other than just a string of bad luck. At the same time, malware attacks hit computers in high places, despite the software company's assurances that security is their primary concern. Add in the discovery of some long-missing pages to an important historical document, a rash of drone attacks and characters who are descended from the legendary Dracula, and you have the makings of yet another hard-to-put down book from these authors.

I'm glad I was on vacation when I started to read this book, because once I got into the story, I didn't want to put it down. It was exciting to watch as the strings of story introduced early in the book are woven into one piece. Almost from the very beginning, the reader knows who the "bad guy" is in this story, but we don't know why until pieces start to fall into place as the story progresses. The end of this book was, of course, exciting, but it was also scary, as it's not that hard to picture these events happening in the world today. I really look forward to seeing what awaits the Covert Eyes team in the next book!

What do you get when you combine Coulter and Ellison? A fast paced, nail biter of a thriller!

Someone has hacked the computers of the highest levels of government. How could something like this happen? They all use the most sophisticated and impenetrable programs and firewalls. All from the same company. Could the hacks be done by a disgruntled employee or are they being infiltrated by the very person who designed the system?

Along with a mysterious book of unknown language that has at the forefront twins descended from Vlad himself. Bodies are piling up, key government officials killed in full view of the public and no one saw a thing. Other bodies are showing up having been bled dry. For What?

This was everything and more I have come to expect from these authors. Very good collaboration!

Another great mystery with M15 and M16 and the FBI in England. Lots of suspense and surprises. While the idea of Dracula being alive is a stretch the plot is well written and unfortunately believable most of the time. Using falcons and drones as weapons is very scary. I love the characters in this series and look forward to the next one.

This is another collaboration with Catherine Coulter and J.T. Ellison. With a plotline that's interesting and familiar characters, I was intrigued from the start. I found this new addition to be almost as good as the last one and am looking forward to the next one. I was sent this from NetGalley in return for an unbiased review.

Catherine Coutler and J.T. Ellison have done it again... Michaela, Nicholas, and the Covert Eyes team take the reader on quite a ride -- filled with computer hacking, drones, twins, and yes, even Dracula... it all works so well together. Personally, I love the vivid descriptions of the museum and Nicolas' home... And the story, being based on the missing Yoynich quires, gave such realism to the chase. Loved this book - very highly recommended.

Full review to be published online in mid April.

THE SIXTH DAY is the latest thriller in the fascinating “A Brit in the FBI” series by Catherine Coulter and JT Ellison. Nicholas and Mike are called in to help flush out a cunning killer; and unravel a convoluted mystery before the next death occurs. This one involves ancient writings as understood by a madman who inflicts his mania on the world, putting the lives of many people in jeopardy.

THE SIXTH DAY contains a complex back story about some mysterious and little known manuscripts. Nonetheless, it is a fast paced read, one that is sure to keep the reader guessing. I have enjoyed this series so far; but found this one not quite as engrossing as the previous books in the series. However, by the time I was a third of the way through the book, I was completely engrossed in the story. Fans of the series, and of the two authors writing styles, will enjoy the intricacies of the plotline.

What a fascinating combination of elements went into this latest case for the Covert Eyes group...a rare manuscript, a major malware attack, an army of drones, smuggled weapons, high profile murders, a presidential visit to London, trained falcons, and legends about Dracula! Luckily, half the team is already in London when things start to go sideways. Nicholas and Mike are visiting his family, and Ben is vacationing with Melinda St. Germaine, the beautiful member of Parliament he met during the last investigation. The FBI teams up with MI5, MI6, and Scotland Yard to track down the person or group responsible for the malware, while also trying to find the killer who is targeting important industrialists and government figures.

Each of the team members show their strengths: Nicholas and Adam work on the software, Mike investigates and does amazing things with her Glock, and Ben works with Harry Drummond and the Security Services to keep the efforts coordinated. Readers can see Adam maturing as an agent and as part of the team, and watch the personal relationship continue to deepen between Nicholas and Mike. There are high speed chases, old legends, synchronized drone bombardments, and elaborate double-crosses. The more the team uncovers, the less sense any of it makes - and the president refuses to postpone his visit. How can they ever untangle all the leads in time?

This series continues to deliver fast-paced action, humor to break the tension, intricate plots, and the sizzling attraction between the team's leaders. Highly recommended for fans of suspense thrillers.

Nicholas Drummond, The Brit in the FBI is back in the UK with all pistons firing!!! He's joined by girlfriend Michaela (Mike) Caine on a vacation that turns into a duel with the descendants of Vlad the Impaler, yes Dracula himself.

This latest novel in the series begins simply enough with what appears to be a hack into the British security service systems, enabling the evildoer to see not only what lies secret in the servers, but also reads keystrokes so they can also see anything that was typed anywhere. Nicholas and the Covert Eyes team to the rescue only to learn that the breach is more significant than originally thought. This lapse blossoms to include putting US security systems at risk. Call in Roman Ardelean, the inventor of the security system to figure out what went wrong and how he's going to fix it.

Meanwhile, world leaders are dropping like flies…well not really. More like dropping like tree frogs…dead from a deadly tree frog poison. Wait, is that a drone? How does it all connect or does it all connect? Couple that with the appearance of a mysterious ancient script, an expert in archeology and you have the team chasing down all sorts of leads that don't seem to be leading anywhere.

This series has always been a light enjoyable read, but this volume suspends belief a bit too far, becoming almost a comic type of adventure. The chapters that are ancient history are useless and slow down the reader unnecessarily, without adding value to the plot, that is often repeated later in the novel. The addition of Nicholas father as an aging former spy, now a consultant to the British services is a good one and I hope we see him and his wife in another novel. While this series has great possibilities, I hope the author focuses on a tighter story line and continuing character development I the next novel.

Heart pounding, spellbinding, suspenseful drama unfolds on every age in The Sixth Day. Mayhem erupts at every corner as the story unfolds and will grip the reader until the very end.

If you love a fast-paced, diabolical novel, get this one! It's Catherine Coulter and JT Ellison ath their finest as FBI agents Nick Drummond and Michaela(MIke) Caine rush to stop a furious demon bent on destroying top leaders in London. Add in the demon's quest to find a cure for his twin's hemophilia from an ancient recovered manuscript and there is a whole new level of insanity incorporated.

It is crazy excellent!

Great read, the modern reality all seems feasible. The characters were well developed. Having been in computers for my career I felt they followed believable scenarios.

These authors continue to amaze and entertain me. What a fabulous book! I was originally concerned that the book started with Dracula. But my concern was quickly overwritten with a well thought out action packed story. There is a nice blend of history and modern day. I will be looking up for the foreseeable future! .Loved the little fact at the start of each chapter. This book is sure to be another hit for this writing duo.

Another winner. Mike and Nicholas are back in England taking some much needed time off together to explore their new relationship when someone starts to assassinate important British people. Suddenly, the Covert Eyes group is needed as high tech meets old world myth, and everyone is in danger. Plenty of action, some humor thrown in, and twists that no one can see coming. Cameos from Sherlock, Savich, and the gang are always an added bonus. I couldn't put this book down, and continue to look forward to more installments.

This is another compelling thriller/mystery in the Brit in the FBI series. This one involves ancient writings as understood by a madman who inflicts his mania on the world, injuring, killing, and putting many at risk. Nicholas and Mike rush in to help and unravel what is happening.

This is a quick read, but with a complex back story regarding the Voynich Manuscript and hemophilia. I love this series, but found this one not quite as engaging as the prior books - I'm not really sure why, it just took me longer to get into it - but by the time I was a third through the book, I was completely engrossed in the story. Fans of the genre will want to read this novel. The authors are on my must read authors' list.
