When I first started reading The Sixth Day I was a bit confused and wasn't sure if I should keep reading. I decided to stick with it and I am so glad I did!

This novel combines characters from other novels written by Coulter and Ellison. Nicholas Drummond and Mike are FBI agents vacationing in Britain when important people start dying in unconventional ways. Nicholas and Mike are called in to help.

Dr. Isabella Marin makes an important discovery of the Voynich manuscript and determines it is written in a secret twin language that has eluded cryptologists for years. Isabella is convinced she has cracked the code.

Roman Radulov is a cyber genius whose computer security is used throughout the world and is installed on almost every computer. He has built an empire with his knowledge and also branched out into building hi-tech drones. He hopes that his drones will be purchased by countries who will use them to end war without sending in soldiers but by using military grade drones.

Radulov industries is much more advanced than people know. Roman has a brother, Radu, who is one of the geniuses behind his technological advances. Radu suffers from a rare disease that they are searching for a cure for. Roman is hoping that they will find some answers in the Voynich manuscript.

This is a great story that weaves present and past. Highly recommended.

Assassin drones, a hacker who can bring the entire world's computer networks to their knees, and an ancient link to Vlad the Dracul himself. Add in fast paced action and engaging characters, and this book has everything you would want in a thriller. Coulter has a talent for tying seemingly unrelated elements together into an exciting and hard-to-put-down adventure.

These books are like crack! Outlandish and kinda ridiculous at times, but I can't give them up. This one had twins, cyber warfare, vampires, the voynichese manuscript, drones *and* falcons, and it was amazing and crazy and I loved it. I'm not sure if the book would stand alone to someone who hasn't read the earlier books in the series, but I suspect it's fairly easy to pick up the important stuff.

I have been a huge fan of Catherine Coulter and her FBI thrillers for years. I have read every single one. I was looking forward to reading about Nicholas Drummond and Mike Caine and the rest of the American and British agents in this series. .I started the book and immediately wondered if it really was a true Coulter book. I usually race through her books but this one was one I plodded through. The jumping back and forth along with the vampire theme just really turned me off. I kept going thinking I would eventually get caught up in the story and love the book, but that never happened. The sections that were vintage Catherine Coulter were few but wonderful as always but there were so many sections that were disappointing.

I just started reading these two authors separately so I was excited to see what a collaboration together would look like. I had a hard time getting into the story but once I did I was not disappointed. I was thoroughly entertained by this story and I can't wait to read the rest of this series.

Possibilities.

Alarming. Dreadful. Terrifying possibilities.

For Coulter & Ellison to take history and present, fact and folklore, jumble it together nd come up with this encompassing thriller is nothing short of epic.

This series just keeps getting better!!

I loved and detested the antaginists. I was awe-struck at the plot. I was encompassed with the facts, legends, and paranormal that were woven onto every page. The suspense was indisputable. The Sixth Day is the Renaissance Man of novels!

OK, I’m done gushing. Honestly, though, I’ve always loved Catherine Coulter & she just keeps getting better. It’s
amazing how I can hate political thrillers, except when written by Catherine Coulter.

Nicholas Drummond and Michaela Caine are back at it again in the 5th installment in the Brit in the FBI series by Catherine Coulter and J.T. Ellison. While they are vacationing in England, major political figures start dropping dead in mysterious fashion. It is found that drones are behind these high-profile killings. Dr Isabella Marin is an American who is working in the British Museum and claims to find the missing parts of the Voynich Manuscript, a famous work written in a twin language. Roman Ardelean is an expert in cybersecurity, but is really using his business to infiltrate every major world organization and government for his benefit. He has a twin brother who is severely ill and is desperate for a cure. Did I happen to mention they are descendants of Dracula??? Once the Covert Eyes team is on the case, Ardelean starts his attempt to devastate London. Can the Covert Eyes team stop them yet again?

I am REALLY enjoying these books in this series. I love how each one focuses on a bit of folk lore (this one is Dracula) and manages to pull it into a story as truth and not fiction. Of course, most lore and fairy tales are based on something real... just highly embellished and/or romanticized. My favorite part of this book was the way Marin becomes involved with Ardelean and comes to understand his story and the reason behind the madness. Of course, the way the Covert Eyes team manages to evade death over and over is a little over the top and unlikely, but I'm glad they do. I really can't wait to see what they get involved in next time. Four out of Five stars for me.

Thanks to Gallery Books and Netgalley for providing a copy in exchange for an honest review.

The fifth book in the “A Brit in the FBI” series, The Sixth Day, combines mystery, action, and history into one thrilling novel. Catherine Coulterand J.T. Ellison have done it again with this installment of the blockbuster series of crime and adventure.

FBI special agents and members of the bureau’s Covert Eyes Team, Michaela Caine and Nicholas Drummond are on vacation in England when major political leaders begin dying mysterious deaths. When the Vice-Chancellor of Germany collapses on the steps of the British Prime Minister’s home, a hovering drone is noticed overhead. It quickly becomes clear that a professionally orchestrated assassination plan is unfolding.

The mystery involves cryptophasia (twin talk), a fifteenth century manuscript, a desire to help a sibling suffering from extreme hemophilia, but without and understanding of genetic diseases and modern medicine. Add that to a wealthy, but narssistic cybersecurity genius who takes it upon himself and a group of investors to eradicate ISIS.

Said genius, Roman Ardelean, is a direct descendant of fifteenth century Romanian, Vlad the Impaler who is frequently romanticized as Dracula. Vlad’s half-brothers, twins themselves, suffered from severe hemophilia. It seems that his misguided beliefs are what led to his reputation as a vampire.

Roman is convinced the Voynich Manuscript holds the secret to curing his severely ill twin brother’s blood disorder, and is not above murdering anyone who gets between him and the manuscript.

The Sixth Day was another book that kept me up reading late into the night. It is a fascinating glimpse into the world of cybersecurity and hacking; as well as a reminder of the tragedy of mis-informed old-school beliefs about curing diseases. I must make time to read the first four books of the “A Brit in the FBI” series.

I love the authors previous books in the series and was thrilled to receive this for review from the publisher and Net Galley.
This is book 5 in the “Brit in the FBI” series by Catherine Coulter and JT Ellison. The two authors worked together to blend this story perfectly. As in all the authors work this is non stop action and a very exciting read. The story kept me guessing and unable to put the book down. I look forward to the next in series. This one will have you on the edge of your seat..
My opinions are my own.

Thank you NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this book. This book didn't disappoint. It is nice to see a series that is still fresh and coming up with new story lines. I would recommend this to anyone, even if they have not read the series.

This book captures you from the very beginning. The characters are very interesting and believable. I loved all of the twists and turns. Just when you thought you knew where it was going they threw you a curve ball! I think it would make a great movie. I would definitely recommend this book!

I actually give this book 4.5 stars...I am a fan of both Catherine Coulter and J.T. Ellison individually, but this is actually my first reading of a joint text and I really enjoyed it.

Can the quest for peace cause you to cross the line into murder? Nicholas Drummond and his partner Michaela Caine will soon find out in this action packed novel. People are dropping dead on the streets...and no one knows why, until the FBI steps in. Who is killing off political and industrial leaders? And why are people in Europe turning up dead and drained of their blood? Who would think that these two cases would be linked? Has Dracula been resurrected? Or is there another explanation? This is what the team is racing to find out...before the end of the Sixth Day.

Suspenseful indeed! THE SIXTH DAY, had a deep in-depth plot! Will the drone army become a reality? If so, then by whom? Would brains and guts be enough to set the plan in motion? How much risk would be involved? Did the two high officials die of natural causes, or were they murdered? Who or what targeted them? Will others be targeted the same way? Why?
Extremely, and skillfully well written!
Had Raphael failed? What would happen if he did? But, what of Roman's cabal? His enjoyment of falconry? He loved and treated them like babies. What would happen to them? Even though his favorite was his twin brother, he loved him better than his own falcons.
Meanwhile someone is out there searching for papers that might lead to something catastrophic. If found, what could or might come to pass? Could this person be a cause or instance of peril or risk, or maybe have power to cause great harm? Or perhaps be in grave danger?
The deep involving plot made the story even more interesting. I also liked the way each chapter began with a small definition about Falconry, and by whom. Even the title is intriguing.
The characters were so well developed. Their dialogue was also deeply meaningful, and mystery-like.. Take for instance in chapter 22, page 120. One thought made this reader wonder what was said about the bloodline. What bloodline? And, why target that certain person? What would or could happen (once the pages that were found were reunited?) What is it about the Voynich papers that might cause such a mystery? A must read!!

Catherine & J.T. do it again in their latest installment of the Brit Series. The novel moved quickly with twist & turns that will keep readers of this series turning the pages. I'm just amazed at what these two can come up in a plot and sub plots. I think this novel & series could be moved to the big screen or TV with great success.

Love these characters and the connection between FBI,MI6, technology and art. I found the technology part a bit cumbersome but it did not keep me from enjoying the book.

I love the Brit in the FBI books and this one didn’t disappoint. I also thought the whole vampire/Dracula thing, while definitely a bit odd for a Coulter book, was an interesting direction for the book. All in all, this is a great book but it’s definitely not your typical Catherine Coulter book so definitely check out all the reviews before buying so you aren’t disappointed. I personally loved it but I also love vampires and such.

This is book 5 in the “Brit in the FBI” series by Catherine Coulter and JT Ellison. I hadn’t read any of the previous ones, but was able to pick up the series without trouble. There is some crossover with Coulter’s “FBI Thrillers” series with a cameo by Savich and Sherlock.

It must be difficult to come up with new plots for government thrillers, but The Sixth Day provided a new twist that was entertaining and fun. I enjoyed the book, and while I wouldn’t class it has intellectually taxing, it was a pleasant way to spend an afternoon reading.

I received access to a copy from NetGalley.

I have been reading Catherine Coulter since her romance days and have always enjoyed her books. The Sixth Day has a story line that I haven't seen in a book yet. Drones and Birds of Prey, it was interesting to learn about them, but did seem a little out there. I like the characters of Drummond and Mike, but I am looking forward to read the next book that features Sherlock and Savich.

I love the Brit in the FBI series. Parts of the book were a bit slow and took me longer to get through. However, once the action picked up, it was a satisfying read. The ending was exciting and satisfying. Another good book from Catherine Coulter and JT Ellison.
