I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoy this series with Drummond and Mike. It is FBI and Scotland yard on the defense after weird attacks are happening. This wasn't my favorite book in the series, but still rather enjoyable.

Special agents Nicholas Drummond and Michaela Caine are back again in Coulter’s “A Brit in the FBI” series after getting called in on a ransomeware attack and separately, the suspicious deaths of two high-level British politicians. I hadn’t heard of this series before but seeing J.T. Ellison’s name as collaborator got my attention. I so enjoy her writing. She along with Coulter? Jackpot! And indeed I was not disappointed. The chemistry and dynamics of the characters, the story’s originality and topicality, with cyber-warfare, a madman and a drone army thrown into the mix made for a great read.

I have been given a digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. I honesty enjoyed this book!
Catherine Coulter and JT Ellison combine their expertise in writing The Sixth Day. This story centers around a linage of twins where one is strong and one is weak with an incurable bleeding condition. Dating back to the days and times of the fabled Dracula to the modern day of drones and computers. Revenge and love for his brother drives wealthy cyber security expert Roman Ardelean's to lengths no one should ever reach. Searching for the blood he believes will save his brother's life he does unspeakable crimes. Imagined betrayals he deals with in deadly ways. Covert Eyes, Brit investigators, Nicholas and his wife and partner Michaela are trying to find who has killed two major political figures in a way that leaves them stunned. Now attempts on their lives leave them puzzled and angry at what is happening.
Dr. Isabella Marin an expert in Twin Talk has located a portion of an ancient manuscript, one Roman believes will unlock the formula to saving his brother, He will do anything to get it. However, he doesn't just want the partial manuscript he wants Dr. Marin. Realizing she can read the manuscript that is written in twin language only possible of twin descendants of his lineage,
Racing to find who is killing the political figures, who is hacking all the computers with sensitive information and who is trying to kill them Nicholas and "Mike" must now also find Dr. Marin who has disappeared leaving a dead body in her apartment.
This excellent book is a great story of murder, mystery, love, and danger. Encompassing ancient times and futuristic inventions. You will ride the tides of action never finding a dull moment!

This thriller is set in Great Britain where falconer and technology genius Roman Ardelean and his brother Radu have begun their plan to control the internet and the world with their Radulov software and their army of drones. From the beginning of the book, you know who the bad guy is, but you quickly realize that he will not be easy to stop, if it is possible at all. Entwined in the story is the tale of a lost Voynivich manuscript, something that is mysterious and can only be understood by certain people, notably Romanians in this twisted tale. Nicholas Drummond and Michaela Caine are tasked with finding and stopping Ardelean. Add in the fact that he uses his falcons as weapons and his drones as fly in instruments of death, you have enough twists and turns and action to keep you reading long into the night. This was the first book that i have read in the series, but I have now purchased others to read because this was so good! I have a stack of TBR books, but this one moved to the top of my list because of its captivating story that seems all too real and possible...and scary!

Hmm. This was more complex than I expected in terms of weaving in ornate plots involving things that started in the 1400s. The basic premise- that the FBI would ask an SA on vacation in the UK to look into a death of a German political leader- is invalid as FBI has SAs actually ASSIGNED to London. That said, if you go with it, Nicholas and Mike make a good team to untangle what the evil Roman Ardalean has done. Sort of. There's a lot of threads here, some of which make more sense and come together better than others. There's cyber terrorism, drones, Vlad the impaler, wacky plots, and so on but this is a fast paced read you might enjoy on a plane ride. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

This is different from many of the series in that there seemed to be less interaction between the team and quite a bit of narrative from the criminals and their psychological make up. Took me awhile to buy into the premise but once it started moving it was full steam ahead

If the earlier books in the series are as good as The Sixth Day, then it is a series definitely worth checking out. The authors have created interesting and well-developed characters. While I like the main characters, Nicholas and Michaela (Mike), my favorites were Radu, Isabella, and Adam. One thing that made this book stand out is that the characters are complex, especially Roman Ardelean, whose actions are often quite evil, but some of which are done for "noble" reasons (although the means are quite horrific). Another strength is the intricate plot, with multiple interconnected sub-plots. I particularly liked the use of the Voynich manuscript and the creative explanation for what the coded language means and who was able to read it and why. The authors also did a good job of mixing current technology and concerns -- drones, terrorism, cyber attacks -- with historical elements and universal themes.

A minor complaint is that at times the book feels like an action hero movie, with the "heroes" surviving attacks that should have put them out of commission for extended periods, if not killed them. However, if the authors kill off their main characters, they kill the series, so the decision is understandable.

I would give the book 4+ stars.

I'm a big fan of Catherine Coulter and the FBI series she wrote. I have a harder time getting into the "Brit in the FBI" series. Based on the description I thought this would be a very interesting book -- much like the Savich and Sherlock books. Unfortunately, I had a really hard time getting into the story. I realize the prologue going back to the 1400's was needed to help provide backstory for the book, but the overall story was hard to weave together. There were too many storylines and time periods that left me confused and not involved with the characters. Not one of my favorite Coulter books.

I did not finish the novel. I am not a fan of Dracula or his heirs. I resented being told that this was a Catherine Coulter novel only to find that all she did was lend her name to a lesser known author. If you want to publish a book, do it under your own name, J.T. And why the initials? Your name can't be used? Thanks NetGalley for the ARC. Had I done a little more homework I wouldn't have requested this. Sorry.

Another great Coulter, Ellison story. There was a lot of history about Dracula but I found that part very interesting. I could not put this book down and loved the twist at the end

I enjoyed this installment of the FBI thrillers written by Ms. Coulter and Ms. Ellison This one is set in England which interesting because the series is about a Brit in the US FBI. Special agents Nicholas Drummond and Michaela Caine are visiting Nicholas' family and taking a vacation. But they are asked to help his father with a ransomware issue, and there is the murder of several high officials. Off they go! there is a lot of action and good story line. I did not care for the vampire/and Dracula references but luckily, they did not detract from the story. I loved the drones and of course the birds of prey.
I have many of her books, and this one was very good. Thank you, Net Galley,

I started reading Catherine Coulter's FBI series probably ten or twelve years ago. In that time things have happened, well, life has happened, and I have not read many of the newer ones. I was surprised to find that now there is the Brit in the FBI series. I was interested as I like British mysteries also. They have a certain feel to them that makes them extra mysterious.

This book is well-written and surprising to me. I expected the British influence coupled with the American FBI agents as well and I find it a good mix. I did not expect some of the other elements in this particular story and I really can't give that much of it away here, as I would not want to spoil it for others who will read this. Let's just say you will find notes of a familiar story playing a part in this story. It adds to the intrigue and I loved it.

What an exciting ride this book was! You will love it.

Nicholas Drummond and Michaela (Mike) Caine, along with MI5, MI6 and Covert Eyes are on the hunt for someone killing off major political figures and the reason as to why they are dying. Also intertwined within the story is the mysterious Voynich Manuscript and where it come from and what it means.

Catherine Coulter and J T Ellison have collaborated to write a fantastic series. The story keeps you going n the edge of your seat. Full of action and drama with every turn of the page. The story details and explains great historical markers in England which helps in visualizing where everything is taking place

I absolutely loved this book! I have enjoyed Catherine Coulter and AJ T Ellison’s books separately, but I really enjoy them writing together. I highly recommend this book and the series.

As a big fan of both authors, I like this series but I do not love it. The whole blood/Dracula/falcons/drones things were just a little too much for me. A little out there. But the story as a whole, character based was really good. They have a great chemistry, It was scary, witty and funny all at the same time. Not my favorite, but still a good read !

Special Agents Nicholas Drummond and Michaela Caine become involved in investigating when several political figures suddenly die in London from what was originally believed to be from natural causes when drones are spotted at the scenes of these deaths.

The story takes a strange turn when details come to light about a manuscript that leads to details regarding Dracula and twin language and one twin with a strange blood disorder.

The interaction between Nicholas and Mike along with his father and other agents was enjoyable but this was a strange one.

Special agents Nicholas Drummond and Michaela Caine are in London on vacation when they find themselves involved in the assassinations of several major political figures and The weapons used are drones!

The Sixth Day was hard for me to get into. I enjoyed all of the familiar characters, just couldn’t get into the story.

Thank you NetGalley and Gallery Books for the ARC!

“The Sixth Day” is another fine example of the combined work of Catherine Coulter and J.T. Ellison. Michaela “ Mike” Caine and Nicholas Drummond from the special FBI unit “Covert Eyes” are on vacation in England visiting Nicholas’s family when a cyber attack threatens his grandfather’s business. Computer expert Nicholas heads to the corporate offices to resolve the situation. As he resolves the issue he determines this as a potential global threat. Meanwhile, the Vice-Chancellor of Germany mysteriously dies outside No. 10 Downing Street on the way to a meeting with the Prime Minister followed by similar deaths across Great Britain of several other world figures. With the US president is scheduled to visit Britain’s leadership in London and Mike and Nick already in England, they are asked by their superiors at the FBI to work with Scotland Yard to help resolve the issues and determine if the visit should proceed.
This is a story of technological possibilities with an added touch of ancient mysticism that question world security. For some this story may be seen as unrealistic and even sappy, but I truly enjoyed it and had trouble putting it down. Catherine and J.T. have created characters and a storyline that are continuing to grow and change as new situations arise and challenges are met. This is suspense fiction at its best.

My thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review “The Sixth Day” without charge before publication.

The Sixth Day by Catherine Coulter and J. T. Ellison

Nicholas Drummond and Michaela “Mike” Caine are at his London estate for brief vacation. When a high-ranking political figure dies mysteriously, they are charged with the investigation. Meanwhile, there is a soon-to-be-connected mystery regarding the historical Voynich Manuscript. Dr. Isabella Marin becomes embroiled as she is an expert at the twin language associated with the Manuscript. At the bottom of all of this, is Roman Arderlean, wealthy cyber-security genius, who has a very ill twin brother. He is hoping that the secrets of this Manuscript will cure his twin.

Roman is also creating an army of drones, and he is hell-bent on using those drones to achieve whatever purpose he sets out. Anyone that will get in the way of this goal is collateral damage. This includes Nicholas and Mike, as their investigation proves fruitful from the start.

In this thrilling story, quite a bit of lore is interjected. For starters, Roman is a descendent of Romanian Vlad the Impaler, know as Count Dracula. Also, Roman is a falconer, one who artfully trains falcons. Add this to his work with drones and he is more than lethal.

This story hits the ground running, and hardly leaves you with a moment to catch your breath. I love the twists and turns that this fifth entry in A Brit in the FBI series has taken.

Cathrine Coulter and J.T. Ellison never disappoint. I just finished an ARC of The Sixth Day from Netgalley in exchange for a review. Good thing I finished reading or there would be no Easter dinner tomorrow. I could not put the book down until the end. Great tense story with the familiar characters that I have come to admire and care about from previous books in the series. This book can stand alone, but why read just one?
