This is the second book in the series. I like "The Basque Dragon" book because it explains the Basque culture & language. It also has a bit of adventure that the children in the book experience and explains things in a way that young readers will find relatable. This book also asks the reader to believe that you can fly to Europe, save a the day, and get back to the USA before dinner. It works for children's imagination. .

2nd in the series - and it takes place on the 2nd day of Elliot and Uchenna's friendship. This time, the mysterious Professor Fauna whisks them off to Basque country in Europe to save a dragon that's disappeared. Totally improbable, average series-level writing, but I did like the unique setting and the cultural tidbits that were included. Kids will overlook its weaknesses and will enjoy this adventure.

Another fun adventure! I really enjoyed the inclusion of research/explanation of the Basque people and their language. The first book felt a little more fantastical, though, as the dragons in this one are primarily only *spoken about* and don't actually appear in the book until the very end. I would love to read more about the magical creatures in future books!
