I did not finish this beachy read though it sounded like it was going to be a great read. The writing was choppy, and the characters were brats and I did not care about any of them. Maybe I will try another time, but this just wasn't for me.

A great summer read full of Intrigue, suspense, beauty and fashion, I just hope that my daughters never turn out like these people.

This book is the perfect summer read. It's light, entertaining but also very interesting. The writing style is great and the plot kept me engaged the entire way through. I would highly recommend this book as a vacation/summer read. It was the perfect book for me to read to kick of the summer season.

A fun summer read about a group picked to work on Nantucket Island. Filled with drama, young love and lust it makes the perfect story for an easy beschtime read. Written well it nothing that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

The true definition of a beach read. Nantucket. A lux estate. Being young with free clothes and a social media following.

The Seasonaires is the story of a group of brand ambassadors. Mia, Cole, Presley, JP, Grant and Jade are Lyndon Wyld's team for the summer. They go on yachts, they host parties at the local bar, they ride branded bikes around town. They also have to deal with the Wear National brand ambassadors. While Lyndon Wyld's look is Nantucket chic, Wear National is rock and roll, dirty, and raw. (Clearly American Apparel was an influence here...) There's angry locals, drugs and the pressures of posting daily to their feeds.

The last few chapter move very quickly, and left me a little underwhelmed. I wanted more for Mia. I wanted to know what happened to everyone, two, three months later.

This is a quick, fun read - but proceed with caution - there is a liberal use of hashtags.

Thanks to NetGalley for the copy of this book in exchange for this review.

I kicked off beach read season with this juicy tale. The Seasonaires is the story of Lyndon Wyld, a clothing designer, who brings together a crew of twenty-somethings to live together in a house on Nantucket for the summer. Their job is to blast their fun on social media and be the face of the Wyld brand, promoting the clothing and lifestyle. Reminiscent of many MTV reality shows, the ambassadors drink, fight, and party their way through the summer. We've also got a corporate rivalry, greed, sex, drugs, murder, mystery, and it's all recorded on social media! The constant social media references got to be a bit much for me but it is definitely a great representation of current trends. Thank you @pegasus_books for this advance reader in exchange for my honest review. This light and juicy guilty pleasure hits shelves May 2nd!

I really wanted to like this book. I thought the cover was catchy, the synopsis drew me in, and I was in the mood for some summer reads...but no.

Janna King started with a good idea with The Seasonaires, in that it was unique and new. It had all the potential to be a fun beach read. However, I felt like it lost its focus somewhere in the middle and by the ending I didn't really understand the point of the story. Storylines were everywhere and things were happening with rhyme or reason. Speaking of the ending, it was rushed and I wasn't incredibly impressed with it.

The characters were alright. I thought they were developed enough, but they were SO shallow. Mia gave off an empathetic vibe, but I still didn't find her very likable. And I felt like the author kind of gave up on them a little at the end. We come to know the characters through hundreds of pages and many of them just disappear at the end with no closure.

I think this author has the potential to write something really incredible, but this just was not it.

A perfect beach read for those interested in looking into the torrid champagne wishes and caviar nightmares of the instagram famous. The novel focuses more on the scenic moments than the mystery, but this quick read will delight fans of We Were Liars and MTV's Real World.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Pegasus Books for this copy for review.

Living the life of a seasonnaire is so outside daily life, that I loved being transported to a summer of carefree fun. The intrigue, back-stabbing and complicated relationships led to an interesting plot line that left me often wondering who I could trust at a reader. The narrator often felt unreliable and could at times be confusing as it shifted from one group of characters to another. While I thoroughly enjoy novels that leave a reader with a question; I did not enjoy the ending of this one.

When I first began reading The Seasonaires, my first thought was simple: if my daughter ever grows up to be like these people, she’s grounded until she’s 40!

While I haven’t changed that thought (at all), I did settle down and thoroughly enjoy the book.

The Seasonaires is full of gliz, glamour, and trashy behavior. You have a group of young adults (age 21 or thereabout) who get the chance to live their summer on Social Media. In exchange for having everything – good, bad, and extremely ugly – posted for likes and follows and representing one brand, our group gets lots and lots of money.

What could possibly go wrong?

Our tale of excess soon becomes a thrilling mystery and the reader is on edge, racing to find out exactly who did what…and why.

Now, there’s one little storyline that defied logic for me in an kind of LOL – He was NOT and DID NOT sort of way. But it wasn’t enough to interfere with my enjoyment of the novel.

This is definitely a popcorn read – don’t expect it to change your life. But it’s fun. (And seriously, if my daughter EVER behaves like this she’s grounded…for decades!)

Thanks to NetGalley and to the publisher for a digital ARC of The Seasonaires in exchange for an honest review. This book is the exact type of book you want to read on vacation on the beach. It's light enough for that but also has a lot going on so it still grabs your attention. A major plus that worked for this book was that the social media aspect did not feel added in to feel "current" it was actually a driving point in the story, it was a crucial part of the story line! Overall good read.

I was provided with an eARC of this book in exchange for a fair review.
I enjoyed the premise of this book a lot. However, it had a lot going on that left it a little mucky to get through; drugs, murder, sex, social media, etc. I also found that while I love Mia, I didn’t become invested in the other characters at all. Even the romance between her and Cole was overshadowed by everything else and took a backseat, coming to the front only when needed for plot purposes or filler. It also constantly switched POV but not seemlesslu]y, so we were in everyone’s head at once. All in all, moderate.

I loved the fresh storyline in this book! It was a new idea of a theme that has been pretty well hashed our time and again. I enjoyed the Nantucket feel and could buy in to the idea of what a seasonaire is hired for. The idea that there was a rival brand that didn’t mesh was a fun idea. Great beach read. A little light on plot but overall enjoyable. 3.5 stars for me.

Good story that kept my interest. I'm out of this age range so some of the antics had me rolling my eyes. Smartly written and entertaining though.

This book is like stepping inside a guilty pleasure reality show gone wild. Mia has dreamed of designing clothes but with her single Mom fighting cancer she hasn't had a chance. Now it looks like Mia might get her shot. She is hire as a "Seasonaire" for a trendy clothing line which means she will get paid to spend the summer on Nantucket Island promoting the brand on social media. The Seasonaires share on social media but there is a dark something going on and rival brand Wear National is in the middle of it. It is definitely a summer to remember! This book is a perfect summer beach read (or dreaming of summer read).

I really wanted to love this book, but for me it was only lukewarm. What I truly think is that I am just too old and too far out of the partying stages of life to appreciate this story the way I should. I am a 34 year old mom of three, and I feel in the depths of my soul that if I had read this when I was between the ages 20 and 26, it could have been a favorite book.... Instead I spent the majority of the time thinking "do people really talk like this?" Or "Do people really act like this?".... And the answer is YES... when you're young, beautiful, on a beach, with no kids and have time for jealousy and petty concerns. There is a specific audience that will love this book, and who will relate to it, but unfortunately I am right on the outside of said audience .
