What a faced fast book, loved it. After her boyfriend walks out on her leaving her with a huge mortgage she is on a night out with the girls when she meets Chris a famous popstar only she doesn't know who he is. They go to his hotel room and when he recieves a phone call and makes a fast exit. She soon finds out that he is wanted for the murder of one his band members and has gone on the run. She goes looking for him along with a photographer called Nick who she hates to get his side of the story. She soon finds out that there is much more to this when drugs and drug dealers are added to the mix.
I found I just couldn't put this down and loved the romance thrown in. I will be looking out for more books from this author.

if I like the first chapter of a book I know I am going to,enjoy it. Once I started reading this book I loved it and just wanted to carry on reading. OK it was a bit far fetched in places but it was an enjoyable, fun read and I will certainly look for more books by Rebecca.
The main character is an Australian wanna be journalist called Sarah who uses devious means to,get her boss to agree to give her an assignment. The photographer she has to work with is Nick, her ex boyfriends best friend and someone she once had a one night stand with. The story Sarah is sent to get involves a musician called Chris who disappears after being told his friend and band member, Angus, has died.
I enjoyed how The story moved through different countries and the interaction between Sarah and Nick. There were a few laughs, a bit of romance, some travel and a drug cartel. Mix it all up and you have one very enjoyable book to pack in your suitcase

A light and easy holiday read. The plot isn't bad even if rather far fetched but it was far too rushed jumping here and there between touristy bits, food and drink plus chasing criminals and saving people. Not sure how it all fitted in! There is the obligatory love interest with three men on the cards but it's fairly obvious which one Sarah will end up with despite her total disregard of him to start with. I'm afraid I didn't take to the main character, Sarah, at all. She was totally annoying to me, her naivety plus total lack of any kind of common sense and a good sprinkling of just not thinking before she acted/spoke about other people. I felt I just wanted to scream at her but that was probably just me. One thing I did like, was the fact the characters all had normal names, how refreshing to get Sarah, Nick, James, Chris, Kate etc rather than a lot of pretentious ones.

I was expecting a rom com/chicklit or whatever we call it these days, but what I got was a fabulous romp through Europe in this story of Aussie journalist Sarah and her mission to get her first ever scoop.
Sarah has managed to blag her boss into letting her travel to Europe on the tail of rock star Chris Ford who has gone missing after the murder of his band mate Angus.
Sarah brings her own baggage into this mix as she is getting over being dumped by her boyfriend, James. However, taking off to Europe with her photographer in tow, who also happens to be James' best mate and a previous one night stand might not have been her greatest idea!
Thrown in rock stars, drug cartels, rival journalists and bad boy photographers then you have a fab mix, just add the calamity that follows Sarah around and you have a great read - but will Sarah get her scoop?
Sarah wasn't just a girl with a broken heart who needed rescuing, she rescued herself - and a few others along the way!
Thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to review this book - this is my honest.opinion.

I really enjoyed this book. It had a chase across countries, a love element, humour and a good plot.
Definitely worth a read and would be a good holiday book!

An enjoyable, easy to read book. Some of the plot was a bit too far fetched for me, but it was a fun, quick read with a nice mix of romance, humour and mystery. An ideal book to while away a few hours with.
Thanks to NetGalley for my ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book is one of those that when started is hard to put down. An unlikely tale of a would be journalist and her photographer ex. Pure escapism. A lively read.

Really enjoyed this book. Was a fast moving light read. The heroine’Burrowes’ was really funny and made me smile at her actions. Although it was a bit far fetched it was a fun ride that I didn’t want to finish but equally couldnt stop reading. Very good. Really hope the author manages to fit in writing more as she has a great style in writing.

This was my kind of book - funny, entertaining and with a great storyline. In this book we meet Sarah a recent singleton who, after meeting a handsome stranger in a bar, realises that work isn’t all it’s cracked up to be and tells a few lies to secure the story of the year. We see her visit Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Venice and Amsterdam in her quest to discover who killed Angus Bright, was it the stranger she met in the bar. Throw in a sassy TV reporter, a sexy cameraman and the drug cartel you have the perfect book.
Five out of five!! Please bring back Sarah and Nick :-)

This was such a fun read, I loved it! The chemistry between the two lead characters is fab and a couple of love scenes were hot! This is the first book I have read by this author but it won’t be the last.
Thank you Netgalley and Pantera Press for a free copy of the book :)

Such a fun book, great story, characters and scenery...a great book to escape reality for a couple of hours

Fabulous ,gripping, believable what more can I say!!! Would recommend this book to everyone, sit down put your feet up and enjoy

Great book, kept me interested from the start. Loved the storyline, not too over the top!! Also the descriptions of all the locations were spot-on. Would definitely recommend this book to others. A good holiday read.

When Sarah is dumped by her boyfriend and left with the mortgage to pay and no explanation she is not very happy! Then she meets a musician Chris on a night out but he runs out on her so when she goes in to work the next day and finds out that he has gone on the run from the police she thinks that this could be her big break as a journalist and persuades her boss to let her go after him....... only trouble is the photographer going with her is Nick.... her ex's best friend!
An easy reading fun book, predictable but fast moving so it keeps you turning the pages

A jolly caper moving from Melbourne to Europe. One of those heroines you want to shout at, but have to keep reading, to find out what happens next. Has intrigue and romance . What’s not to love?

This is not necessarily the type of thing I'd normally go for, but the blurb was interesting so I went for it! And I enjoyed it - Sarah's boyfriend has recently upped and left with no explanation, leaving her broken hearted and broke. Her career as a journalist is restricted to the beauty column, and going nowhere, when she gets the chance to pick up on a celebrity gossip story and heads off to Europe from Melbourne, with a gorgeous photographer that she hates in tow.
The romance aspect is a little predictable, and it is a bit of a whistle-stop tour of major European cities as a celebrity story becomes tangled up in an international drugs ring, but it was fun to read. Sarah's a relatable and believable character and that's what makes the book.

I don't mind a bit of romantic easy to read fluff every now and then, you know what's going to happen the guy and girl will hook up and they'll all live happily ever after. This of course only happens once they've got over the obstacles along the way - in this case a drug cartel and a wrongly accused musician.
It's an easy to read summer book which I demolished in 2 days - did I love it, no. Were there any surprises, no. Was it easy to read and good fun, yes. Essentially isn't that all you want from a chick lit?
Thanks to NetGalley, Rebecca Freeborn and Pantera Press for my ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Sarah Burrowes is in a bit of a rut. Her live-in boyfriend has left her without explanation and with no money to pay the mortgage and her career as a journalist is at a standstill. So when she is picked up by a man who turns out to be a famous popstar and who is wanted in connection with the murder of one of the band members, she sees an opportunity. Lying to her boss that there are no more experienced journalists available she convinces her to send her on a trip to Europe to get the story that will launch her career. Before long she is chasing a drug cartel. I couldn't warm to this novel at all. Sarah is an annoyingly naive, supposedly feisty, pain in the neck. The plot is ridiculous and the trip across Europe is not much more than a checklist of tourist sites. You get no sense of the places at all. Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the ARC.

Hot Pursuit by Rebecca Freeborn a five-star read that you will pursue. If you are in the mood for something fun but with a twist and a half for your summer read then this is the read you need. Sarah Burrowers goes on a trip that is a trip in more ways that she can dream of, life gave her lemons and she is making lemon soup, it’s not as sweet and successful as lemonade but is a lovely thing in the end. There are a few bits you will see coming, but overall it kept me hooked from start to finish and I will be keeping an eye on this author to see what she will bring us next.

I really enjoyed this book ,it was a fun book ,full of humour and mystery ,a perfect holiday read .Sarah is a newbie journalist who has talked herself into an assignment to interview a rock star .She is sent off with Nick the photographer ,a guy she can't stand and they chase all over Europe ,Barcelona ,Rome,Paris and Amsterdam .With a Drug Cartel thrown in and a romance whats not to like ? Many thanks to the Publisher ,the Author and NetGalley for my copy in return for an honest review .
