Thank you to St. Martin’s Griffin and NetGalley for providing the arc. This in no way affects my review of this book.

They all can’t be winners.

Before you go. 2 Stars. This quote sums up this book “In that moment, Jade quite felt like Alice. She’d fallen down a hole of some kind, a bear hole with crazy ladies smelling of baked goods at the bottom.” I felt the same as I read this book. I wasn’t sure what was going on and didn’t connect with characters Jade was annoyed with Ark for most of the book, continually telling him she didn’t want him. He on the other hand, immediately said “me bear, you mate”. I like shifter novels, however, I have a hard time with how he continually disregarded her feelings because he knew better. There wasn’t any chemistry or reasoning for her to fall in love with him.

Owned by the lion. 2.5 Stars. It was ok but I wasn’t really invested in the characters. It can be read as a stand-alone but I may have been more connected if I read the first book. I did like how the male characters were protective of their mates but weren’t over the top alpha. One peeve I have with romance novels is when instead of describing the feeling during sex, the author has the characters state what’s they’re going to do to each other. It ruined the scenes for me.

No need fur love. 1 star. This book took place in 3 days and the author jammed as much as possible in those three days. A wood nymph needs to find a random guy to impregnate her so she can take a leadership position in her band with her egomaniac father. She finds a guy in a bar, who’s a werewolf, and has a one night stand. Werewolf realizes in an instant wood nymph is his mate but she runs off. Fast forward through a few chapters and we have the ending where she runs her father off during a fight with the werewolves and everyone lives happily ever after. There wasn’t any character development and I found myself skimming most of the book.

Bearing his Name by Eve Langlais.. 4.5 stars
Jade's sister shows up pregnant and she doesn't know who the father is. She only remembers him wearing a toga and there were several there that night wearing the same costume. She sends out notes to them all and one day Ark shows up. Ark is a bear shifter but one look at Jade and he knows she's his mate. It will take a lot to convince her because she doesn't believe in happily ever afters. Someone is after her sister and they try to hide her but they keep finding her until Jade is taken and will be traded for Ruby, her sister. Ark goes wild but gets her back and takes her to his home. Can the big bear convince her they are meant to be?
Good story. Ark was a little dramatic and goofy acting. Jade see saws back and forth between wanting him and not believing they can make it. She pulls him in with one hand and pushes him away with another. Ark and Jade could be funny at times and the sex was hot. Told in third person with both pov.

OWNED BY THE LION by Milly Taiden.... 5 stars
Ally opens a new office for her company. Keir works for a financial company and knows Ally is his mate right away. The thing he has to do is convince her because of his previous manwhore ways. It takes a lot of convincing but she has strong feelings for Keir but doesn't want to be one of his one night stands. They both go to the matesforhire.com and are matched. Ally needs money for her mother's chemo treatments for a trial experiment, that's why she signed up to be a mate for two weeks. Can Keir convince her she's the only one for him?
Loved the story. Romantic, hot, funny, and a little sad. Ally is curvy and beautiful. Keir is hot and a lion shifter. Told in third person with both pov.

NO NEED FUR LOVE by Kate Baxter.. 5 stars
Mia is a wood nymph and her father has given her an ultimatum....in order to be a member of the ruling nymphs... produce an heir or he'll find a mate for her. So she goes out to a bar looking for a man to have sex with. She never expected Owen, a werewolf shifter. Owen is down because his Alpha found his mate but doesn't think he will until Mia sits down beside him. He and his wolf knows she's their mate but she only wants a one night stand hoping to get pregnant. When she tells her father she's with an heir, he tells her she'll never help rule the nymphs. He found out there are werewolves in the area, he wants them run out. He plans to attack on the full moon and Mia must decide if she helps her mate or her father.
Good story. A feisty wood nymph and a sexy as sin werewolf. Short but very hot. Told in third person with both pov.

I was excited to read this anthology after reading the first one from Netgalley. Each story continued in the same world from the first book, so characters were familiar. I really enjoyed each book and I’m looking forward to reading the third later this year.

REVIEW
Once again I was asked if I would be interested in reading and giving my honest review of this trilogy of steamy shifter tales by the publisher. After reading Thanks Fur Last Night trilogy and surprising myself by really quite enjoying it I decided this was a book I actually wanted to read. I was aware some of the content was steamy and maybe a little explicit but I feel there is enough plot and story line that I can still enjoy reading.

The cover of this book fits very well with the previous book I read Thanks Fur Last Night with the icy blue colour and the bear on the left side. There is also the couple on the cover in a slightly different position to the couple on Thanks Fur Last night. After reading Thanks Fur Last Night i would probably picked this book up irregardless of the cover to learn more about it but once again I find the cover attractive. It certainly makes you want to ask questions about the couple on it as well as the bear. The cover could represent a couple of different scenes in the different tales. Would the cover make me pick it up from a book shelf? Yes definitely!

The genres I have seen listed for this book are Anthology and Romance which certainly fit. I would also add shapeshifter, and paranormal to that list too.

So this book is made up of three separate tales, Bearing His Name by Eve Langlais, Owned By The Lion by Milly Taiden and No Need Fur Love by Kate Baxter.

Bearing His Name
I really enjoyed reading this story. The central characters are Jade and Ark and I adored both of them. Ark receives what can only be described as a blackmail note accusing him of making someone pregnant! Ark approaches his cousin Stavros who is not only a bear shifter but also works for the Police too. Stavros reveals to Ark that he is not the first to approach him with a blackmail letter. It is Jade Cadeux that has sent the letters because it is her sister Ruby who is pregnant. When Ark knocks on her door and she opens it he instantly knows she is his mate! Though he knows better than to try to tell Jade that until they figure out who is the father of Ruby's baby.

I really enjoyed reading this tale by Eve Langlais, I liked how she played on the bear shifter and his love of honey and how he needed "honey" or rather had to sweet talk Jade quite a lot! Ark really has his work cut out to get Jade to believe him that he is not the father of her sisters baby. Ark has to use all his powers of persuasion because Jade's father abandoned her when she was younger so she is suspicious of any man.

I thought the cliff hanger at the end about Stavros finding a green eyed female by the bins was brilliant. I hope Eve Langlais tells his story of perhaps finding his mate soon. I am definitely interested in reading about more the family of Ark & Stavros.

Owned by the Lion
I adored this story, it is set around some of the same characters that are in Bought By The Bear that is featured in the Thanks Fur Last Night anthology. This time the lucky bear that finds his mate is Xander's best friend and work colleague Keir. Of course things don't go straight forward for him. Keir has a reputation for dating lots of different women and he thoroughly enjoys his lifestyle. His father wants him to take over the family business the bank and settle down, though Keir is reluctant to settle down with anyone he knows that he will have to take over the family business sooner or later. We meet more female characters this time and they enjoy playing match maker with Keir and Ally. In fact Xander and the others find it amusing that the one woman that Keir wants isn't falling at his feet as other women do.

I really loved this story and totally adored the fact I got to catch up with Xander and Josie as well as meeting new characters too. I definitely want to read more, both by this author and set in this world with its great characters. My favourite character in this tale had to Keir, he was so perplexed when Ally didn't just fall for his charms and into his arms straight away like most women usually did!

No Need Fur Love
I did enjoy this tale but I have to admit it took me a little longer to feel drawn into it. Once the story got going I didn't want to put it down! Again this tale takes place within the same setting as The Alpha And I was. (from Thanks Fur Last Night)

The two main characters that are mates in this story are Owen a hot werewolf shifter and Mia a beautiful, mysterious, conniving wood nymph. Mia's father wants to choose her a mate and for her to get pregnant to produce an heir! Mia doesn't want an arranged match so she comes up with the idea to go out and get pregnant, thinking that if she produces the heir he wants he will not force an arranged pairing on her. It just happens that Owen is sat in a pub drinking and thinking he will never find his mate. He readily admits he is jealous of his Alpha Liam who has found his true mate Devon. Mia just happens to be searching for someone to make her pregnant in the very same bar and she soon sets her eyes on the rather hot looking guy at the bar.

There is so much going on in this tale, there's the werewolves settling into their new territory oblivious to the fact that there is a group of wood nymphs with a crazy male leader who wants them out of what he considers his territory. Why can't they co-exist there is lots of land and space for both groups. I really loved the character of Owen. To begin with he is so overwhelmed that he has set eyes on his mate he gets carried away and they fall straight into bed. It's when he wakens the next day and Mia has gone that his worries begin. Naively he thinks its because Mia doesn't understand the true mate bond. Between the deception by Mia an the war Mia's father wants with the werewolves there's loads going on in this tale. I really didn't want to put it down. I would certainly love for more tales about Owens pack as shifters are one of my favourite paranormal beings to read about. I admit I was a little skeptical about a wood nymph's as I haven't read about them before but Mia was an interesting character, though werewolves remain my favourite!

This anthology as a whole was a really great read. I enjoyed reading more by these authors, and definitely would want to read lots more by them. I readily admit I have avoided books and authors who write erotica but having read a couple of tales by Eve Langlais I would be interested in reading other titles by her now, though not those labelled as erotica. I found I loved all the tales and certainly want to read more by all these authors.

My immediate thoughts upon finishing this anthology were, Wow steamy, sizzling hot shifters! I want more!

Once again, this great anthology has indulged my love of werewolf shifters and also introduced me to other shifters and paranormal beings. I always used to be of the opinion that I loved only werewolf shifters but these anthologies have encouraged me to read about other paranormal beings, such as the bear shifters, lion shifters and wood nymphs. I honestly loved revisiting the settings and characters from Bought By The Bear by Milly Taiden and The Alpha And I by Kate Baxter, which featured in Thanks Fur Last Night. I would love more stories in all the settings featured in this book. Are there going to be more anthologies and when can I read them?

I received a copy via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I love when some of my favorite authors get together for a three pack. Eve Langais and Milly Taiden and Kate Batxer deliver!!

I loved Bearing his name. It was fun and witty and playful. there was an element of suspense but it definitely leaned to comedy.
The characters drew you in and made for a great read. I love w hen bug families are involved but add in the Greekness and I was sold.

Owned by the Lion was a fun twist on fated mates and the new era or matchmakers...technology. I LOVED that they were fated and matched in thus story. I also Liked that while Keir was known as a playboy, a good chunk of his girls were honest friends. I liked seeing him work for Ally's affection.

No need Fur Love was the more serious bent of the three. Owen is not looking for anything when he meets his fated mate. Mia is looking for one thing, a doonor to get her father off her back. what they get is a connection like no other. while Mia's not ready to be tied down, both will need to work together to get through the coming days...if Mia can be convinced to take a chance.

All three short stories are simple romance/erotic stories about shifters finding their mate. It was fast paced and full of hot steamy moments. While enjoyable there was nothing that stood out about any of the stories. They were just like many other short paranormal romances.

The Big Alpha in Town by Eve Langlais; Milly Taiden; Kate Baxter.
This is a book with three different stories by three different authors. They are a standalone set but if by chance you read the other box set called "Thanks Fur Last Night", you will see some stories related to the couples and secondary characters you met in that book. I enjoyed that box set and this one was just as great!
Here are the books that you will get in this box set;

Bearing His Name by Eve Langlais

** spoiler alert ** As usual, I am in love with Ms Langlais and Ms Taiden's stories. Kate Baxter's story well, it's ok. The other two really made up for it.

Ark, (almost confused me with the lion series, but it's a different author altogether), finds his mate accidentally as he could be her sister's baby's daddy. But of course we are rooting for him and Jade! Ark is so cute and lovable the way he slowly breaks down Jade's defenses. And Jade definitely gets sister of the year award. Stavros is making me curious about his story so I'm praying it comes sooner than later.

Kier and Ally. Hehehe. Silly lion. I'm enjoying this series and it makes me want to read it all over again. Kier didn't know how to tell Ally that she is his mate, the one woman who doesn't fall for him instantly. The story goes a bit fast here that I feel like I missed a chapter or two. But all is well in the end.

The last story took me a while to finish and even then I was skipping pages. Owen and Mia met and while Owen found his mate, Mia wanted something else. Her father is up to no good so she had to do something. Owen is great and all, but Mia...took me a while before I started to root for her and for both of them. I can skip this story the next time I read this book.

Thank you NetGalley and publisher for the copy.

I received a free copy of this book via Netgalley I voluntarily read this ARC no minority compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own. With that being said this was a fun cohesive anthology by three talented authors. All the three stories held the same feeling, part humor and part suspense. So you didn't have to regroup after reading each story. These two books were the stars in this anthology for me Bearing His Name by Eve Langlais & Owned by the Lion by Milly Taiden I'm familiar with their works and they never disappoint. Plus they know how to bring quirky characters and humor that will have you laughing from beginning to end. Don't get me wrong No Need Fur Love was a interesting and entertaining read but the storyline just felt rushed to me. Overall an amazing triology can't wait to read more from all of them.

Bearing His Name-Eve Langlais
2.5 stars
I normally enjoy Eve’s characters, but I didn’t click with Jade and Ark. They went through the motions, but I never felt the attraction. However, I did enjoy the secondary characters and the cheesy humor. They helped carry the story along.

Owned By The Lion-Milly Taiden
3 stars
Expect steamy banter and a punch of chemistry with Ally and Keri’s story! Overall, this was a fun, sexy read.

No Need For Love
Kate Baxter
2 stars
This one didn’t work for me. The storyline felt rushed and underdeveloped.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
