I was really curious about Nick’s life and I love to see God use people for his glory and I’ve found myself following him and he’s family especially for my personal encouragement. I personally struggle sometimes and life has many heartaches and when I was in my 20’s I suffered from severe depression. So I couldn’t wait to dive into this one.

I liked that Nick was honest about speaking and sharing to “ALL” platforms because, “he wants to reach people where they are in the world” and also feel it’s important to meet people where they are. He was very honest and real about what he’s doing and I liked that also.
And I was also grateful for the question and answers part of his book because honestly we do t share enough about how to answer these questions. Very helpful insight. ♥️
What was really special about this was when he addressed each question he also brought it home with his personal experience each time and I think thats the best witness of all. People can not dispute your story.
And Nick, thank you. I do feel stronger as a Christian.

This was a NETGALLEY gift and all opinions are my own. Happy Reading!

The first time that I ever heard Nick Vujicic's story was in a brief Facebook video and instantly I could appreciate his passion and joy for sharing Jesus and hope with others. Sharing his story here he continues to do that. He has faced struggles and hardships but his heart and faith shine through. He can sit with people and can touch them--some times even meeting with people that he "shouldn't" be able to meet with because of political or religious beliefs.

If you are interested in hearing how God is using this man, this book could be for you. But don't expect to simply pick this book up without being challenged to also be the hands and feet of God.

BIBLION – Be the Hands and Feet

As he himself put it, jesting once again about his condition, Nick Vujicic was “shorted the standard allotment of limbs at birth”. He has always questioned himself why God made him that way, what he wanted from him in this life, with no arms nor legs?

In his search for a purpose in his life as a Christian motivational speaker, the words of Theresa of Avila, entitled Christ Has No Body, had a strong impact, and it is with these words that Nick starts out this new book of his, Be the Hands and Feet.

Having his challenges and struggles already been copiously told, the now father of four children describes here what is his work and how he found his true vocation, inspiring the reader to live out his or her faith by serving and motivating others.

From a young age he sat on the church's pews, absorbing the Sunday School teachings with interest and becoming fascinated by guest speakers, pastors and missionaries. Among these were the missionary couple Victor and Elsie Schlatter, who translated the Bible into a dialect spoken by an ethnic group living in Papua's jungles, and who influenced him in an indelible way that led them to become his mentors later on.

In his search for references that were to shape his identity profile as a servant of God, Nick dedicated himself to books and movies, where he came to discover figures who could help him along the process, such as Brother Yun or Nicky Cruz, the latter being present in Biblion's most recent issue (from the David Wilkerson's The Cross and the Switchblade book review).

Nick has a natural tendency to enrapture us with his enthusiastic speech. He tells us about the importance of love in his family's intimacy, as much as in the past with his parents as now being the head of the family, with his wife Kanae and their children.

He insists at every paragraph about the need we have in nourishing our faith each day, making it grow so that we too may grow through our daily living. He points out each of the nine “fruits of the Spirit,” as described by Paul in his epistle to the Galatians (5:22-23).

Being an excellent storyteller, Nick delights us with examples of several friends who dedicate their lives to others, thus proclaiming Jesus' gospel, fulfilling God's purpose in their lives. Among them is the Green family (David Green's biography was presented in a previous issue of Biblion), founders of the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C., in which Nick is present every day via hologram – something that makes this museum one of the most technogically advanced in the world.

As an evangelist celebrated around the world, Nick Vujicic focuses his attention in the most varied aspects related to his Christian position, but that is not all. His career does not end in himself, on the contrary: interaction with other people must be prioritized to diffuse his faith, allowing God to act and make those relationships prosper.

This is what Nick teaches us in this book, proving that even though one's not born with arms and legs, he or she may very well be the hands and feet of Jesus in this world.

What God does through this man is amazing. If you haven’t seen him talk check him out on youtube. He has a powerful testimony. I’m excited for Nick and his wife Kanae who added twin girls to their family December 20, 2017. This makes four babies for this couple. Their other two children are boys.

I like this authors transparency and the way he goes about letting his light shine in the dark places of life. He starts out by sharing how the Lord led him into being a public speaker. It’s nothing he set out to do but when opportunity after opportunity came he walked down that road.

Nick was raised in a Christian family. Early on he had doubts about the Christian faith. He talks about this and a few books that rocked his world as a teen. The Heavenly Man and Run Baby Run. After that the bible became real and allowed the Lord to encourage and guide him in life. When he speaks, he delivers a message of hope: He’d say, “You can’t change your past, but you can change your future.”

He goes on to say, “ I knew many people did not want to hear a faith-based message, but as they heard me talk about life, love, hope, and faith in general terms, they felt free to ask questions about faith. Even then, I still didn’t see myself as a role model for other Christians or aspiring Christians.”

It was interesting to hear about his first DVD titled Life Without Limbs It was fun to read about speaking opportunities that came his way in other countries God moved on the hearts of friends, family and even his brother to serve as his caregiver so he could encourage more people at these events. He did discuss what it takes for him to travel about. Eye opening; this was a huge deal. Wow!

Nick shares how he goes about sharing his faith, how he finds an audience and what he speaks about. There is a whole chapter titled Answers and Questions. Where he answers some pretty tough questions like:
If there is a good God, why does He allow pain in the world?
Why is it that some atheists and nonbelievers seem to be better and more successful people than some Christians? Why would God allow that?
Why would I want to be a Christian? They don’t have nearly as much fun!
If you want to believe, that’s fine – to each his own – but can you prove to me that God is real? There are several more.

Nick lays how to share the Path to becoming a Christian and how to talk with someone about this topic.

Everything is not pie in the sky. I liked how Nick was read when he shared about this family and how he keeps it real at home; talks about how to share with your family; family life and what he’s learned from his wife and children. He says, “..I have learned that the work of being married and having children is all about remembering to be grateful for each other and doing everything you can to keep the romance alive. The challenge is that you can get caught up in the day-to-day demands of parenthood and adulthood…..He says, “You can’t just coast along and take your relationship for granted….we have to keep the lines of communication open, and we have to keep our faith at the forefront of our lives.”

This is an encouraging, motivational, informative read I couldn’t put down. I highly recommend it.

Nick Vujicic has such a remarkable story. It was obvious that God has great plans for this man. I look forward to reading more books by this author. I recently saw a video and his wife on YouTube. I teared up with witnessing such tangible unconditional love. God does pick certain people for others. God can and will heal our lives if we open ourselves up to him.

I have read all of Nick's books, that this is my favourite. Not that the others aren't wonderful, but this one happens to be timed perfectly for this stage of my life. Be the Hands and Feet focusses really on, as the name suggests, bringing the work of Jesus to the world. How to evangelise to others without being all the worst things that people think of when they hear the word 'evangelist'. I have always been very reticent about sharing my faith because I dont want to be 'that kind of Christian', but this book is a call to the church, as the body of Christ, to reach out to others with love in a spirit of transformation. Our mission is to introduce people to Christ, and the best way to do that is to live with love and compassion.
As we have all heard before; "preach the gospel of Christ. When necessary, use words'. This book presents ways that we can make that happen.

Nick shares a lot of his own experiences and motivates the reader to be hands and feet of Jesus, serving those around us.

What an inspiring book! Nick has no hands or feet, (except for a little foot that extends from his torso) yet he has told more people about God and His love than most believers will do in a lifetime!
Nick was raised by believing parents in Australia, yet as a young man he wanted to commit suicide because he felt useless and depressed. But God had a future planned for Nick, because he did not die. Nick would never have dreamed that he would someday get married and have children, and travel the world telling others about Jesus.
Nick and his dog, Seth, talked to others about Jesus as Nick wheeled around in his wheelchair. People felt more comfortable to approach Nick because of Seth, and they asked for prayer and some people asked Jesus to forgive them of sin and be their Lord.
Nick realized that he enjoyed public speaking, he was invited to speak at his former high school, church rallies and other events.
Nick has a way of speaking that makes you feel as if he is speaking personally to you, he has a gift that only a few people possess.
Join Nick on his life journey as he travels the world, mentors other young men, reveals how churches can work together to help all the people in their communities, and even endure medical procedures that are routine for most people, but life-threatening for him!

I am reviewing a copy of Be the Hands and Feet through Netgalley and WaterBrook:
In this book author and world renowned motivational speaker Nick Vujicic talks about becoming comfortable in his own Faith, before he could become the hands and feet for Christ.
Nick didn't set out to share the Gospel with the world despite the fact he grew up in a Christian Household. In fact he tells of how his career as a a Christian role model and inspirational speaker was an unexpected blessings.
He reminds us too that we need to share what God means to us in a way that is relevant to them.
He talks about his first speaking event at Logan Unity Church in Springwood Queensland.
Nick Vuljicic speaks to both Christian and secular audiences as a motivational speaker.
We are reminded too that Christians have to be on their toes and ready to share their faith at every opportunity given.
We are reminded too that it is not God who inflicts pain. We are reminded too of understanding and accepting that we are sinners. In order to accept Christ we must also acknowledge that Jesus died on the cross for you, and to repent for our sins. And we must accept Jesus Christ into our hearts and lives.
We are reminded too that self control is important that a Christians we should not give into temptation and if we do we must repent.
In this book we are encouraged too, to dream big. We are reminded too of the importance of mentors in our walk with Christ.
We are encouraged too to be Christian role models to others. We are reminded too that we as Christians are many parts of the same body.
I give Be the Hands and Feet five out of five stars!
Happy Reading!
