A nice collection of prayers one can use to talk with God if you need help with what to say. A good way to teach one how to pray.

This would make a great little guide for those times when you just don't know what to say to God. You will actually be praying the exact words or prayers from the Bible (except for some where the pronouns are changed.) Many of them are from Psalms.

There are prayers for:
Praising
Saying thank you
Drawing near
Saying you're sorry
Finding strength
Help
Blessings

You could meditate on the verses and even memorise them and pray them throughout the day or even the week.

I plan to make use of this book for my own prayer life. Highly recommended as a prayer guide.

A great resource, this is not a book to read once from one end to the other, but a book to visit every now and then. The book offers Bible verses that can be used in prayer. Love it!

This is a great book for guiding the prayers and thoughts of Christian believers to issues affecting their lives. These are broadly grouped in sections such as Guidance and Strength.
I recommend this book and can see myse returning to it regularly. Most of the readings are from the Old Testament especially the Psalms.

It is a very personal resource . You can use the prayers to petition Him for your needs and will bring Him glory. You will learn to trust and rely on Him with your needs, You will learn how to find out God's will. Your Christian life will get deeper. James Banks has assembled an excellent resource of prayers taken straight from the Bible. Banks has divided the prayers into the many different areas of prayer needs. This is an absolutely wonderful book that I will return too again and again. I highly recommend this book! I am going to be buying multiple copies for Christmas presents.

Praying the Prayers of the Bible

When God saved me, I was told by my early mentors that prayer was talking to God as you would talk to a friend and I should use my own words. Over the years, I have done that so that I would be able to avoid ‘stale prayers’. However, this book has me rethinking this concept. First, there is nothing stale in using God’s own words in praying to Him. These words are affirming and confirming. In addition, they will be an encouragement to the person praying because they will remind the one praying of what they can expect. These prayers are also useful for services, opening and closing presentations, family gatherings, etc.. This book will also make a great gift. Many thanks to the author.

I have enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. as I haven't found most books like this that I've looked at as really being helpful or are too "religious" sounding for my liking.

The book is well organized by focus for prayer, e.g., Prayers for Praising, Prayers for Blessings, When You Need to be Delivered from your Enemies, Prayers for Help, etc., and within each major group are sub-groupings.

The prayers under each section are very appropriate for that focus. They're mostly based on the Psalms, but verses from other books of the Bible are used for prayer direction as well. Most of the verses are taking from the NLT and some from NIV and ESV.

Normally, I have no problem talking with God (which is all prayer is), but there are days I just don't know what to say and this will be a good book to turn to.

Praying The Prayers Of The Bible For Your Everyday Needs Is a book of just that a book of Prayers. They label each page of what Prayers you will find on the page - for instance, "when you want to draw closer to God." Then there is Scripture to back that up. It is a wonderful book to help you Pray. Isn't that incredible?

Sometimes when I go to the Lord, in prayer I just don't know what to say or how to even start. "Praying the Prayers of the Bible for Your Everyday Needs" is such a great book for those moments. The categories and sub-categories help me find the scripture of prayer I am in need of to use a launching ground for my personal prayer. Some of the prayer categories are praising, drawing near, saying you're sorry and for finding strength. The sub categories are just exactly what you might be needing for that particular moment, day or season of life (i.e when times are difficult, when you long to be with God, when you want to praise God for helping you.)
The verses that are given in each area even great to just meditate on during not only the difficult moments of everyday life but the beautiful moments of life as well.
I would recommend this book to anyone that is new or mature in their faith as I believe that everyone needs a little help at times to launch into prayer.
