This is book 2 of the Pack Bound series with the Werewolves and Witches fighting evil and break the ancient curse. This book is the story for Bronwyn and River as the beast needs to be drawn out of River. This is a good paranormal that has two groups fighting together to get rid of the evil that has engulfed the pack for so long. There are at least two more books in the series. Fans of the paranormal will love this story. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review. |
My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!! ***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I got a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! I did buy this book. This is the 2nd book in the series, and it is for adults only due to the violence and steamy content. I think you really should read the books in order to understand the ins and outs of this world and the history. This is River’s and Bron’s story! I’m glad he prevailed against the Darkness. I am really found of both River and Bron, and they both fit together. I love how artistic he is with his gardens and making them stars for whoever he makes them for. Bron always gives her all to those in her care. She doubts herself, and this causes some trouble until she gets some help. I really enjoyed this story, and can’t wait to read the next story to see what happens next! I recommend this unique Were-world to any paranormal fan who love shifters and magic mixed with mate love! I wonder who’s story is next!! |
eARC provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Usually this type of book is right down my alley and I just devour them in 2-3 days. It took me more than a month to finish "Moon Bound". I found it boring and tedious and utterly predictable. The only different thing was the place but with so little context it took me about 2/3 of the book to realize it's set in Australia. The female lead - Bronwyn - annoyed me more often than not and I found myself urging her to grow a backbone and confront the people in her life every couple of pages. Had she done that this book could have been shortened by at least a third. Add to it ridiculous statements straight out of a bodice ripper and I was gritting my teeth throughout most of the book. Same goes for River, the male lead, whom I wanted to smack upside the head for his constant morose bemoaning of his fate. Add to it the unnecessary long descriptions and I was tempted to just give it up and move on to something else. I really expected to like this book and maybe it's my current mood or the fact I'm rereading some of the very best UF series at the moment but I just couldn't get into this. I couldn't muster even a shred of sympathy for the characters and as a result didn't form any emotional attachment. Personally I wouldn't continue the series. Maybe if I had picked it up at another time I would have been raving how much I love it but now I just couldn't feel it. |
Another solid story by Leisl Leighton. Excellent plot and story. Liked it |
I have come to love this series and can't wait to read more of it either. These are the first books of Leisl that I have read and can't wait to read more work. Strong characters and a great story line. Can't wait to read the next installment of this series. You will love reading River and Bronwyn's story. |
I have to say that the Pack Bound series is off to a great start, the first book Pack Bound was an exciting read and now Moon Bound is one thrilling read that had me glued to the pages. Bronwyn and River are strong, compelling characters that readers can’t help but fall for and cheer them on toward their happily ever after, their romance is full of emotional turbulence and the story invokes a gamete of feelings in readers throughout. The romance is sweet and the chemistry between Bronwyn and River has sparks flying but due to several issues has them both turning away which certainly keeps readers filled with suspense. The plot is fast paced and full of thrills, intrigue and danger with the pack’s enemies coming back to try and destroy them once again adding suspense and excitement to story while also keeping reading readers on the edge of their seat with anticipation of just what those enemies will do next and what the Pack will do in retaliation. Oh and the antagonist is one that still sends shivers down my spine and has me continually trying to guess just what she is going to come up with next. The Pack Bound world is definitely fascinating and full of intrigue which ensures that I am going to keep coming back for more, but while I find some things unexpected, there are a couple of predictable elements but not enough to keep me from enjoying the story and I can’t wait to visit with Pack McVale again in Shifter Bound which will be released in April. |

I received a copy of Moon Bound by Leisl Leighton from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was intrigued by the summary and wanted to like this novel, but it was a chore to keep reading at times. The characters and threads of plot could have been pulled together better (more linear). There were flashes of real goodness, but then the story would get bogged down or off track. Also, the primary characters' interactions seemed stilted and did not have great chemistry together. I would try reading another book by Leisl Leighton to see if a future novel would improve in pacing and character development, but I wouldn't re-read this novel. |
Moon Bound is the second book in Leisl Leighton’s Pack Bound series and this story is definitely far better than book one. A fabulous storyline, with exciting characters and an intensity that leads the reader to want so much more. I’m absolutely looking forward to the next book in this wonderful series. |
The continuing saga of the Pack Bound series, Moon Bound bring us Wiccan Healer-Witch Bronwyn Kincaid and Wolf, River Collins. This is a great addition to the series with a fabulous storyline and engaging character I found myself glued intently throughout. I will be recommending this book and series to readers and look forward to reading more |
I liked the first book and this second one is just as good. Can’t wait to read the next one. |
Dnf first book due to book being hard to follow. Thanks for allowing me this series. |
As per usual with me I read this out of order despite having the first book. There is enough in this book to somewhat explain what the first one was about - enough so that you aren't lost. I love this book. The characters develop as the plot goes on which is good to me. It helps you keep wanting to read. River and Bron are a great couple. I relate to River a bit as I block everyone from me not to see whats really there. Bron needs to find herself to become what she was meant to be and to save River from himself & the Darkness. River needs to learn to let others in to save himself and Bron. |
