This was a decent story and I somewhat enjoyed both the hero and the heroine, Marco and Chloe. However, nothing really stood out making it a great book.

The story pulls you in, characters feel like they could jump off the page and you would be in their world, in their story. A true love story that will leave the reader satisfied. Chloe reunites with her mother, meets the Prince and after some misadventure, gets her HEA. This story is a HEA where the characters find love in the end.

Enjoyed reading Marco and Chloe’s love story. Emotional read about stereotypes and misconceptions we face every day. There was an instant attraction for Chloe and Marco when they met. Misunderstanding led then separate way but a secret brought them back together. Engaging and recommended read.

This was not a bad read but at times it had lots going on and could be a little confusing. Marco is the Prince of Ralvinia and ever since he lost the love of his life he has sworn off relationships that is until he see's Chloe across the room and feels a spark he never thought he would feel again. Chloe is in England to meet up with her mother who left her as a child, the chemistry between her and Marco is off the charts and they spent the night together which result in her ending up pregnant. A good read overall I enjoyed it

Once again, perfect timing on the release of this book with royal wedding fever at an all time high. Marco and Chloe's attraction and sizzling chemistry leaped off the pages for me as they traversed their relationship despite Chloe's awful mother.

From page one I was hooked, MS Montgomery knows how to write a sensual romance that ticks all of the boxes that pull a reader in, that bring the characters to life in the fast paced word of royalty and money, of love of scandals and desire that blooms into a true love of the heart, this is one that I highly recommend sit back and get to know Chloe and Marco on their journey to a HEA that is sure to leave you sighing.

Chloe Salvatore has lived a good life growing up in the Napa Valley with her winemaker father, she is a lawyer and works hard in the legal aid offices, she has been invited to England to reunite with the mother that walked out on her when she was six years old, against her better judgment Chloe arrives just in time for a big party which sees her thrust in the sight of wealthy Prince Marco, and Chloe does something that she has never done before and has a very sizzling one night stand that leaves her pregnant.

Prince Marco of Ralvinia is wealthy gorgeous and has sworn never to love again after losing the love of his life in tragic circumstances he is not a playboy but has casual affairs and is shocked that when he is at a party he sets his sights on a beautiful woman an American woman that he feels a spark that has not been there for a long time, after an evening of sizzling delight that is disturbed by a conniving nasty woman, Chloe’s mother Marco’s world is turned upside down.

I loved this story there were emotions flying off the pages as Marco and Chloe try hard to deny the spark that pulls them together and Chloe’s manipulative mother causes more trouble than she is worth, what a nasty lady, but you know love always wins through in the end and MS Montgomery pulled them together in the best possible way so many things happening the settings are just amazing and Marco what a hero wow I loved him and Chloe shows such strength with the fears that had come from her past, this really is a story not to be missed, thank you Ms Montgomery for another keeper in this fabulous series.

I liked the premise of this book. I liked the story-line. I really liked Prince Marco. I went into this book, finding it on NetGalley, thinking this was not a part of a series, or at least a continuation of a series. There wasn't a series number, and I hadn't heard of the story. I have a hard time reading books out of order, and am usually more diligent. Next time, I will check Goodreads first.

Prince Marco is a strong-willed, handsome, stand-up guy. I really enjoyed his character. He found what he wanted, and he did whatever he could to keep it. I also like a bit of vulnerability in my heroines, and while the heroine was physically vulnerable at times, she was very emotionally independent. Strong willed.

Some of the secondary characters were my favorites! Chloe's father was a loveable, sweet man, who always put Chloe's needs above all else. And her mother?! Total opposite of Chloe and her father. Her scheming and games kept me hooked throughout the entire book!

Despite my rating, I really enjoyed the book. I just felt lost a few times, when characters from previous books in the series were around. There were updates to their story-lines, and I was only getting the updates, not their full stories, so I felt like I'd missed out on something. This was my own fault for not researching to ensure this truly wasn't a second, third, fourth, etc in a series.

There were a few scenes where I felt that the action and story-line were missing, and then the parts that were included were after the action, so I felt I was missing the good stuff. Id have liked to see those sections expanded, and the other sections could have been shortened.

This is, in some ways, very formulaic and predictable. Playboy prince sleeps with girl-next-door type and an accidental pregnancy results. Of course, they have to get married to the future prince or princess will be in line for the throne.

Where this book is different is that there are no contrived and wildly unlikely plot points just to make things work. This is really cleverly thought out and every action by the two leads, Marco and Chloe, is a completely logical step to take considering the knowledge they have at the time. Perhaps the only thing I wondered at was Marco not choosing to have Chloe’s background checked out immediately after their first parting, but I can forgive that small plot tweak for the sake of the story’s overall dramatic tension.

I really enjoyed the growth of both characters over the course of the book. There was an element of insta-attraction and Marco did act like an arrogant ass at the beginning, apparently convinced of his own irresistibility. I absolutely loved the way Chloe basically laughed in his face and called him on his own arrogance, and then the way Marco realised he actually really liked and respected her for her blatant (dare I say brutal) honesty. In the end they were obviously a really good match for each other, and if you like accidental-baby royal romances, which I have a publicly acknowledged weakness for, this is one of the best you’re going to find. Five stars for some clever writing which put a fresh spin on a predictable old trope.

Frothy soap operaish romance

The is the first book I've read by Alyssa J Montgomery and I enjoyed her writing style but there was just too much going on. Especially with Chloe's mother Lydia. That being said Chloe and Marcos had off the charts chemistry and his friends were solid characters whose stories I'd like to read.
I received an advance reader copy from Netgalley.

I enjoyed this book! It was fun, cute, and very addicting! I loved this couple and loved the journey they went on! I love stories featuring someone meeting someone royal, and so I was glad to get the chance to read this one!

this book had it all. Love, angst, alpha male, strong woman, HEA. Easy to read, great character development, good descriptions of the locations. Overall a great book. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

Chloe and Marco's story is a little all over the place, but they are a well-balanced pair that truly deserve their HEA. This book is a solid read for a rainy afternoon.

have 💕💕💕 this series.
I wasn't sure I would like this one as he's a playboy. But after meeting Chloe he doesn't have eyes for another woman even if events make Chloe believe otherwise.
They have a strong physical connection but after the initial 'meeting' she does try to resist the draw to him and doesn't make it easy for him.
Marco feels a strong pull to Chloe and after a tragic relationship in his past finally feels he may be able to move on. Then her mother interferes. She is truly awful and yet is just the sort of evil character that makes a good story.
It is well written, there are appearances from the couples from the previous books in the series so the reader gets to catch up with them.

I thought it was relatively realistic and quite an emotional story. Marco is awful to Chloe after her mother's actions at the beginning but when he realises his mistake he does a huge redemption.

Well worth a read.

Chloe has a backbone in her, ‘I know what I want and what I don’t want. I don’t want a life of glamour and I definitely don’t want to be part of a European royal family where my every move is followed by photographers.’ Marco is having one heck of a time persuading his woman he's a good one, 'he’d captured her to him so quickly she didn’t have time to protest. ‘You have to stop thinking of me as a prince, Chloe, and simply think of me as a man. A man who desires you very much.’ I liked this nook, I loved Chloe's will and determination and I just loved Marco, for no reason in particular.

The Irresistible Royal was a smartly written romance with a good plot. I liked how the author was able to take a different turn with this tried and true theme.

I so disliked the mother introduced at the start of the book and then the speed at which the main character hooked up was just too cliche for me and I did not finish this book

This is Rico and Chloe,s story. He was a royal prince. Her mother set her up to be videotaped with him. Her mother wanted to blackmail him. He thought Chloe was a party to the blackmail. She is pregnant with his child. She has many prejudices against royalty. She has to marry him. Their baby needs in vitro surgery. They marry. She has a terrible accident. True love wins the day. I loved it.

I really enjoyed this book. I have read some of the others in this group and enjoyed them also
Chloe was overseas to visit her estranged mother and sleeps with Prince Marco. Her mother (who is vicious and immoral) makes it sound like she and Chloe had planned it so Lydia could blackmail him for badly needed money. Prince Marco believed it and never wanted to see her again. Six weeks down the line, guess what, Chloe is pregnant.
These two were instantly attracted to each other and slept together within about an hour. Chloe was very upfront about everything, but Prince Marco had a lot to make up for. There was lots of drama and misunderstandings and medical issues in this story that I thought were very well written.
I got this book from NetGalley for an honest review.
