For me, this was an okay read and would be perfect for a lazy afternoon but I have to admit it was a little slow going at times and really seemed to drag. I liked both Adele and Takumi and the plot was pretty decent and while I did not love it I didn't hate it either worth a read you may like it more than me

Small-town romances usually appeal to me, and I really wanted to like the early copy I read of this book. For me, it lacked the quaint, welcoming feel, and the quirky, charming peripheral characters that bring color to this type of setting were missing. I liked the two main characters, Adele and Takumi, well enough, as well as the secondary characters, but I never really became invested in the story. There were long paragraphs of descriptions, reminiscing, and introspection that made the story drag rather than moving it forward. The plot was decent, but the storyline never grabbed my attention and I had to force myself to finish the book. I think this author has skill, I just wish the book had managed to catch and keep my interest.
