Nah, not for me I’m afraid, just another non memorable romance, the sex scene was hot-ish but as for everything else I got bored, at first I thought “oh yeah I’m gonna love this” but then it got dry very quickly and I think it’s because piper stopped being a bitch.
I’d recommend this to people who love your run of the mill romance but for someone who likes a little difference like me, then no I wouldn’t, in all honesty I can’t really fault this book as a romance, the characters were fine and the book was written well, it just didn’t rock my boat...

I really did enjoy the book, It's well written no drama "well not much" very sweet story, I liked them as couples. Admittedly, in some parts it did feel as if the author rushed things but it didn't effect the   book in a bad way, at least for me. highly recommended.

Georgia has written amazing books and this one is really a good one. i really liked the slow start between the two characters, Piper is an Ice Queen, Lindsay is warm and lovable. at first they could hardly stand each other, the conflict of power is raging, but then they started to work together and they blend

I will admit that I was a little worried about this novel because I didn't totally like the previous book I read by Beers. But, this one came through for me and I found myself liking it on multiple levels, although, I think there was too much Rocket the Dog in it and not nearly enough Edgar the Cat.

It's the story of Lindsay and Piper. Lindsay is the general manager of Vineyard wine bar (heh, well, the last book I read, Pride and Porters was beer, and this is wine to balance it out, even though I neither like nor drink either beverage). Piper is the daughter of the owner, Ellen, as well as being a VP at a very large tech company.

Ellen goes on an extended vacation sort of thing leaving (very specifically) both women in charge, Piper more in charge of the money, while Lindsay is in charge of the actual wine bar and can make changes as long as Piper agrees. That's the rub, they don't totally trust each other, and then they start falling in love and that complicates stuff even more and then something catastrophic happens in part of Piper's life and everything falls apart.

It was a fun read. I liked both of the main characters (which surprised me a little, I wondered at the beginning if I'd like Piper). I also liked the secondary characters as well, like Lindsay's friend/co-worker Bridget and Piper's best friend, Matthew. They added some awesome depth to the novel.

And I repeat. Needed more Edgar, not Rocket. Yep.

Blend is amazing, fanatstic, exceptional and I could go on and on singing this books praises because it's just that good.Piper and Lindsay have chemistry that is out of this world,Blend has so many things going for it, it seems impossible to list them all.

I think it's official that Georgia Beers is one of my favorite authors, if not my favorite. There is something about the way she writes, both the character building and the dialogue between them all, that makes me constantly riveted. I'm never bored even if I have no interest in specific aspects of her books. Granted, for this book, that specific aspect is wine and running a wine bar. I love wine so hooked me there! 

Piper and Lindsay seem like they are complete opposites, but as you get further along in the book, their similarities start to sprout up. Piper, whose closed off and hard edged, starts to soften through Lindsay while Lindsay starts to get more of a spine because of Piper...hence the blend :)

Just read the book and enjoy. 

Side note, the only thing missing was Lindsay firing the person I shall not name. I wanted to see that happen so bad!

When Lindsey's boss announces she'll be taking a vacation for up to a year, she leaves Lindsay in charge along with her daughter, Piper. Lindsay has been working at the wine bar, Vineyard, for three years now, and she's fallen in love with the place. She has a lot of ideas to bring in more people, maybe cater to a younger crowd, and her boss gives her more or less full rein while she's away to make the place everything it can be. There's only one problem, any change that costs money must be run by Piper first, and Piper hates Lindsey. Piper is a VP at a tech company, her world is perfectly controlled and calculated. It has to be. She doesn't have time to deal with this "hippie" Lindsey, who seems dead set on changing everything about her family wine bar that meant so much to her late father.  Will the two women be able to work together? Will close quarters make their attraction impossible to ignore? 

I loved that this was 3rd person POV.  I really enjoyed reading this. I was fully connected to the characters and the story. This is definitely my favourite Georgia Beers I've read so far. 

Piper was a fascinating character. She could have been this cookie cutter ice queen but instead, she was complex and relatable and both vulnerable and strong. She was such a good person. I loved her. She's one of those characters that are bound to stick with you for a while. Lindsay was awesome too - I loved all her ideas. It was really organic the way they were woven into the character to both show the reader the world of Vineyard and the passion Lindsay had for it. The chemistry between the two women was delicious. And, the friendship that blossomed was really natural and only made their relationship stronger.

The setting was perfect. It was so romantic! I loved the descriptions out around the lake - the crispness and the changes in season were such a vivid part of the story for me. The flavours of the wines really added a lot as well, not only did I learn a lot, it was almost like a character of it's own. 

I am looking forward to buying the paperback of this novel, I know it will be one I'll be re-reading often.

A book in which you also learn a thing or two. Blended wine. I didn't know there were traditional wine and blended ones. Or that they are categorized as new world and old world wine. 

Piper and Lindsay make an interesting couple. I liked the way Lindsay slowly wins Piper over. You get so invested in them getting together that the angst part really gets to you. Make sure you have enough time when you start this book, you'll want to read it in one go.

Georgia Beers books are the first I read in this genre years ago and her books still keep me coming back for more.

Complex characters + beautiful setting + well paced + great dialogue = classic Georgia Beers. I'm definitely a Georgia Beers fan but you I can guarantee you wont be disappointed by this book

Blend by Georgia Beers takes you right into Vineyard a wine bar that has been left in the capable hands of Lindsay Kent and the owner’s daughter, Piper Bradshaw. If you enjoy wine with your romance this is definitely a book you need to read. I’m not a wine person but with the way Beers writes, I could taste the different blends and traditional wines on the back of my tongue. I could even smell it as I was reading. It’s easy to say that once you start reading this, you’re going to be immersed into the world of Vineyard and surrounding land. I loved that it put me into the setting not only visually but all my senses were teased throughout. 

Both Lindsay and Piper felt real. They had their own strengths and weaknesses but pushed each other to be their best. The chemistry between the two of them is explosive. At first it’s all dislike between the two. Lindsay is more of a free spirit and Piper is a shark in the business world. I loved how as Lindsay got to know Piper more, I started to enjoy her character more. I liked the journey the two women took, how it wasn’t all roses and sometimes a little forgiveness and understanding can go a long way.

The romance scenes between the two were honest and charged with emotion. There was enough detail to make your breath catch but not so much I skimmed over it. I felt like those scenes fit perfectly with the tone of the book. These scenes only added to Lindsay and Piper’s attraction to each other. 

I would definitely recommend reading this book. I’ve already added Georgia Beers to my to-read list because of how much I enjoyed reading this book.

This is a great story, told in third person and from both heroine’s viewpoints. While I absolutely adored Lindsay, it took me a longtime to warm to Piper, but I suspect it was a conscious choice by the author for one character to be more likable than the other. 

The story follows a common ARC, couple meet, they clash, sparks fly, conflict drives them apart, then they get their HEA. The conflict in this story is very late to the party. I personally found it rather convoluted and it lowered my overall enjoyment of an otherwise engaging plot. 

Rocket deserves a special mention. I’m not a doggie person, but he really came to life and stole a piece of my heart. 

The writing style is solid, there are few typos, but as the story progressed, the dropping of words became hugely distracting for me.

Deftly told romance that oozes charm. Ms Beers is an excellent writer and never lets her readers down. This is a lovely girl meets girl tale that has all the requisite ingredients - down to earth, free spirited woman gradually falls for the uptight woman who needs to let her guard drop and chill more. It’s a tried and tested formula that can’t fail. I even learnt something about wine.

3.75 Stars. I’m a Beers fan. It’s pretty hard not to be as she has had such an awesome career. I think this is the 10th book I have read by her. I have to admit I have not been as crazy about some of her more recent books. But I’m happy to say this felt much more like the classic Beers that we are used too. I believe romance fans will enjoy this one.

The story is about Lindsay Kent (great last name) who is given the opportunity to run a wine bar when her boss goes off on sabbatical. The only catch is she must run any financial decisions by the boss’ daughter before she can implement them. The reason this is an issue is the boss’ daughter Piper, does not seem to like her. Piper is not happy her mother has taken off to travel. Not only that but she has left a women who seems flighty, in charge. Piper realizes she needs to keep a close eye on Lindsey and her family’s business. But what if in being close to Lindsey feeling start to develop? Can these two strong women work together in wine and love?

This was a really nice slow burn romance. It went from two people who could hardly stand each other, to a chemistry filled romance. I want to be clear on this, the chemistry was turned way up in this book and I really enjoyed that. It went from these two women wanting to yell at each other, to ripping each other’s clothes off. I love books where the sparks are so brilliant you can actually see them. The romance was well written and classic Beers.

As much as I really enjoyed this read, I do have to mention my one main complaint. I was reading this book, loving all the characters, the storyline, the romance, everything was going great, but I was waiting for something bad to happen. I was looking down at my Kindle and it was getting closer and closer to the end. All of a sudden I got excited. It’s too late now to throw in some crazy angst for these characters to overcome. I started thinking if there is conflict, it won’t be much and maybe the characters were work together and it will strengthen their relationship. Yay, this is going to be one of those books filled with good feels. Nope, all those happy thoughts hit a wall, very close to the end. Wow, if felt super late to throw in all this forced conflict. And forced it really seemed as half of it didn’t even make sense. Unfortunately, because of this late conflict, the ending felt extremely rushed and the HEA balloon was slowly leaking all over the place. I really was so disappointed because this was going to be at least a 4.5 star book before the rushed ending.

While I was personally quite disappointed towards the end, I still really enjoyed this read. We all have some pet peeves, and this book just ended up hitting some of mine. However, I really think overall, romance fans are going to enjoy this book. Most of it was wonderful and classic Beers. So while I’m a bit bummed, I still recommend this to Beers and romance fans.

I really loved this book.  It is definitely on of Beers' better books.  The setting was fun and different.  Which I always enjoy about her books.  The characters were interesting and well developed.  The chemistry between them was fantastic.  The romance was a slow burn.  No instalove here.  The angst was understandable and well done.  If you enjoy Georgia Beers even a little bit...you will want to read this one!

Mrs B, owner of wine bar Vineyard, calls Lindsay in and tells her that she is taking an extended holiday and is leaving Lindsay in charge of the wine bar in her absence. There is one catch though; every change that needs financial input needs to be agreed upon by Mrs B’s daughter, Piper. Piper hates Lindsay, Lindsay thinks Piper is a stuck-up control freak. Any hopes Lindsay had of making changes are waning right before her eyes.

This is well-written with a great cast of characters. Lindsay is fairly easy-going as well as motivated and professional. Piper is beautiful, highly-polished but not particularly nice to Lindsay. There is a nice tension which builds into great chemistry between them. All round this is a good read with a lovely comfort in its predictability.

Georgia Beers is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Her books (including this one) are well developed, with characters you can relate to and root for.

A really good romance with two interesting leads and some well done minor characters. One of the leads was initially difficult to like but she grew on me after a while. The story worked for me and I enjoyed it without any real complain. Recommended to all fans of romance novels.

It's hard to find a Georgia Beers book I’ve not enjoyed but this one blew the rest out of the water. I absolutely loved it.

Lindsey loves her job as manager at the local wine bar. She has big ideas that could really bring in the younger demographic and now that the owner is taking an extended trip and leaving her in charge, she has free reign to turn her ideas into reality. The only issue is that the boss’s daughter, Piper has to sign off on any big changes to the bar and she’s already not a fan of Lindsey...

I adored this book. Firstly the characters were written beautifully and the whole opposites attracts thing always does it for me. Piper gives off the air of being an uptight ice queen but she’s really tormented by her fathers death, which when she describes their relationship I could really understand her cold personality. Lindsey is the complete opposite; she’s fun, social and loves her job. She’s a little closed off to love but definitely has her reasons. On paper these two should not work but they do... they really do! And the connection is palpable. You can feel the chemistry, it radiated off the page.

I don’t think I’m exaggerating when I say Georgia Beers writes the best kisses in Lesbian Fiction. I mean they are sensual while being extremely hot so I kind of knew that would be the case and she didn’t let me down. What I was blown away by was the sex scenes in this book. Wowser! I mean it came out of left field but it was amazing. Best Beers sex scene to date. Period.

I really enjoyed the secondary characters in this book especially Bridget and Angela. I think these ladies need a happy ending of their own... but that gives us two more books (one at a bare minimum).

All in all, I was blown away.

Great book, I really like the chemistry between them. It's very well written like most of Georgia Beers books

I think at this point I need a template to write all my Georgia Beers reviews.  Phrases like "she has done it again", "she doesn't disappoint", "can't wait until the next one" are usually what I write on my reviews for her books. And what can I say this time? She has done it again, she doesn't disappoint and I can't wait until the next one :) 

Georgia Beer's characters always feel like "real people" with "real chemistry" and after you finish the novel you wish you could spend more time with them and this time is no exception. 

Great read as usual, it was nice to spend a weekend with these characters.  Again, I can't wait until her next one :)
