What an absolutely adorable Christmas book for children who are beginning to branch out into chapter books! The format is a little bit longer than most picture books but still had plenty of cute illustrations for kids to enjoy. I would have loved to see more detailed pictures but the simplistic ones are still cute and let the sweet story shine through. As wonderful as the book itself is, the bonus material at the end is really what makes it so special. There are jokes, fun facts, and even crafts for kids to do to help them be more engaged in the story. Even though the story takes place on Christmas day, this really can be enjoyed all year long as it's mostly about the naughty cat and all of his hijinks. This is definitely a fun one!

I would like to thank the publisher, author, and Netgalley for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is an adorable story about a family at Christmas that has a naughty kitty. The kitty knocks down the tree, eats the Turkey, and goes missing. The children of the family realize that Christmas isn't really about the decorations or the turkey, it's more important to be together. This was a cute story that I could see myself reading to my daughter every Christmas as a tradition.

At the end of the book are some fun facts about Christmas and Cats, some jokes, a recipe for hot cocoa, and a craft project to make and angel.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Perseus/Running Press for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. Cute story. Bad kitten!! Asked a question that never answered it was my only comment. This could frustrate children. I rated it a 3.5. Think most will like the action.

Simple but appealing pictures. Captures the excitement of Christmas as a child. At times the storyline was too muddled but otherwise fun. Love that it is a mixed race family.
