Scarlett Cole has this ability to create characters that are deep, multidimensional and so REAL. And Lennon is just so beautifully broken and flawed but that just makes him more real!

I think out of the Preload series, Lennon might be my favorite! I knew in reading the other books that he definitely had some demons and one interesting story and boy does he!!

He and Gia were the perfect person for each other. They didn’t know they needed each other but they were the exact compliments to the other, like 2 interlocking pieces of a puzzle.

I hope we see more of the Preload boys in other series to come!

I voluntarily read an advanced review copy this book provided by NetGalley

I absolutely loved this book! By chapter 3 I was in tears. After chapter 3 I could not put the book down and read the whole thing last night...didn't go to bed until 2 am! This book blew me away, I loved that it was not a cookie cutter romance but a romance that stole my heart and left me feeling like both Lennon and Georgia were like phoenixes. Out of the fire...ugliness and destruction of the world came two beautiful people that somehow met under the worst situations and created something beautiful!

Overall this book was hands down one of the best books I have read in all of 2017 and 2018! Mind Blown! Thank you Scarlett Cole for daring to be different...for daring to discuss the hard subjects many authors shy away from without making it dark or heavy...for giving me more than a cookie cutter romance! Great Job Scarlett Cole! ( p.s. please create more band members I am so not ready for this series to be over... )

This had all the emotions! It broke my heart in the beginning and healed by the end. Scarlett Cole saved the best for last!! I have fallen deeper and deeper in love with the members of Preload ever since opening up that first book.

I haven’t met a more vulnerable, broken bunch of men nor men so loving, caring and as bonded to each other as these group of men. As they each found that one woman that managed to knock them on their knees and heal their childhood wounds, I have see each one of them evolve into incredible characters filled with happiness, love and family.

That being said, Lennon was the one character that alluded me throughout the series. He cracked jokes at every turn, yet was the most tight lipped about what was going on in his head and heart. He was the true testament of how those with the most hurt are the ones walking around with the biggest smile. He hid so much of his pain from his brothers. Being the youngest, he never truly felt like he belonged and wanted so much to hold on to his spot in the group, so he put on a smile, cracked more jokes and watched each and everyone of his band mates...brothers find love and happiness.

Lennon’s story was the most emotional of the bunch. And I don’t just mean a tear here and there...I mean I was devastated after just a few chapters - crying in the middle and eventually filled to bursting with happiness by the end. Lennon Reborn was to complete and total rollercoaster ride and I loved each and every rise and fall and that track.

Lennon’s growth from beginning to end of this book was the most transformative of the Preload men. His demons ran deep and only a woman as strong, confident and persistent as Dr. Georgia Starr could get through his concrete barriers. Her approach was second nature and exactly what he needed. She gave him the space he needed while still giving him the support he refused to accept. And together they were the perfect match and complete opposites; which created a perfect yin/yang bond between them. Where he was carefree and laid back, she was structured and controlled. Where he took everything as it comes, she taught him to plan and organize and he taught her the ability to let go and relax.

This story was truly remarkable and one of my favorites of 2018.

Lennon Reborn was heartbreaking and uplifting at the same time. Lennon was always a mystery to me so now that he was front and center I couldn’t wait to read this book. From the moment that this story started, I was hooked. I felt for Lennon. His past was really sad and broke my heart several times. He just needed to see the good that was for him. I enjoyed the interactions that Lennon had with Georgia. She brought out the light in him and was there to love and support him. I loved how an unexpected friendship developed into more. Even though there were definite hard times in this story, there were sweet moments that counteract that. The strong bond that these Preload boys had always been evident throughout the series and that doesn't change in this book. Every one associated with Preload was just fantastic. Lennon Reborn has all the feels. You will be sad one moment, happy after, then swooning the next but you will always be glued to the story. Scarlett writes a great story where she pulls you in and doesn’t let go till the end. This was a great ending to a magnificent series! The band is right where they should be and I had all the smiles with the ending. A beautiful read.

10 ASTRONOMICAL STARS!

LENNON REBORN by Scarlett Cole is a bona fide masterpiece!

Gah! I wish I could find a way to convey what a STAGGERING impact this Preload series, featuring “the famous five,” had on my heart. How much profound and utter love I have felt for each and every one of these sexy, deliciously broody foster brothers turned heavy metal music novas. But this is LENNON’S story so I shall focus on this final installment!

THE STORY IN BRIEF:
Lives hang in the balance when Preload Drummer Lennon McCartney and his band mates are involved in a horrific accident enroute to their final concert on their worldwide tour. And the ramifications are especially dire for Lennon because his catastrophic injury jeopardizes his ability to ever play drums again. He has always been a lost soul who has felt isolated from even his beloved Preload family, perpetually on the outside looking in, and without his music what purpose did his life serve? But fate brings him an angel of mercy in the form of beautiful, kind-hearted neurosurgeon Dr. Georgia Starr, and in the shattering aftermath, she is the only one who has a shot at fusing his broken fragments back together again. But the problem is that he has lost the will to live.

However, from the moment she soothes him at the crash site, and offers him solace from the agonizing pain, there is something about Lennon that touches Georgia on such a visceral level that she is not ABOUT to let him give up. Moreover, she is bound and determined to help him return to the stage. And helping him, helps her, because she too is shackled by the past. Can these two heal each other, heart and soul, and find love and acceptance in each other’s arms? Gotta read to find out but prepare to be gut-punched with OFF THE CHARTS feels!!

MY MUSINGS:
LENNON REBORN is, hands down, one of the most heart-wrenchingly beautiful romances I have EVER read! From the chill-inducing opening chapters to the pinnacle ending, this book DECIMATED me in the best possible way! I relished everything about it. The hurt. The healing. The angst. The palpable discord. The sizzling passion. The aching tenderness. The cathartic tears. And, of course, THE LOVE! The love bled off each and every page and had my heart soaring to exorbitant heights!

Ms. Cole dug real deep with these characters, and as the story progressed and she peeled away layer after layer, I reveled in each and very remarkable facet!!

Lennon oh Lennon… what can I possibly say about this tragically bereft, achingly vulnerable rock star? He felt so unworthy of love yet at the same time craved it so DESPERATELY! And his crushing self-hatred, crippling insecurities and agonizingly silent cries for help, which were masterfully relayed through his dark, torturous inner thoughts, were like a knife to my gut! He always tried to hide his suffocating pain behind his smart-alecky attitude and his music but once his ability to play was stripped away, perhaps forever, there was no hiding from his demons. Except sweet Georgia appeared like an ethereal angel in his darkest hour. This brilliant, compassionate neurosurgeon became his hope. His light. A shimmering rainbow in his stormy gray sky.

I fell instantly, IRREVOCABLY, in love with Georgia because even when Lennon was at his worst, wallowing in such severe self-pity and shutting himself away the outside world, even from his beloved bandmates, “Gia” was the only one who could reach him. But could she warm the parts of him that had long grown cold? Let’s just say the angry, sullen drummer did not make it easy for her, especially at first. But once his barriers came tumbling down, in his own beautifully unique Lennon way, he loved her with a fierceness that stole my breath! But, in the end, would HER love and devotion be enough to bring this broken boy back from the brink?

Georgia herself was at an emotional impasse. A workaholic having grown up trapped within the stifling confines of a high-browed, well to do family, run by a tyrannical, spiteful father whose approval was always out of reach, like Lennon, she was always made to feel like she was “not enough.” Lennon crashed into her life at a pivotal turning point, giving her the courage to face some hard truths and this devilish bad boy also taught her that all work and no play made for a very dull existence. So as much as she was “a burst of sun through his rain cloud,” he brought a glorious kaleidoscope of color into her life as well!

The writing was MAGNIFICENT, and profoundly moving, with an exquisitely crafted plot that captivated me from start to finish. And yes, Ms. Cole explored some pretty heavy issues in this book, but as with all of her romances, there was a wonderful sense of levity. For as much as there was heartbreak and angst and despair, there was also faith and hope. Breathtaking romance, playful banter and steamy interludes. And, of course, an abundance of joy!

BOTTOM LINE:
LENNON REBORN is a tour de force novel about love and renewal, soul-deep healing, making peace with the past and finding the COURAGE to accept a “new normal” in all its beautiful, crazy glory!! The road to HEA was definitely an uphill battle for this beleaguered duo but I am thrilled to report that Ms. Cole truly gave these characters—and this EPIC series--a star-studded sendoff!

I absolutely loved this book! Lennon and his bandmates grew up together in a group home each of them surviving terrible childhoods. Now they are famous musicians touring the country until they are involved in a life changing accident. Georgia comes upon the accident right after it happens and rushes in to save whoever she can. As a doctor she knows that time is of the essence. Georgia helps everyone on the bus but feels a real connection to Lennon. His wish to be left to die shocks her. They begin a relationship that ends up saving them both. I highly recommend this book!

I hate to say it (and I think it was because of all the build-up I saw around this book’s release) but I didn’t find Lennon Reborn to be THAT heart-wrenching. I felt for the guy so very much and I was so happy to finally find out why he is the way he is … but I kinda was waiting for even more of an emotional punch. Don’t get me wrong, there are a TON of feels here and I relished every one, but they didn’t grab hold of my heart and squeeze like I expected them to.

The opening is definitely nerve-wracking and when you find out exactly how much it costs Lennon you can’t help but get choked up. He’s done a good job of hiding his troubles behind the jerk mask he wears, but life has not been kind to this man (I cannot imagine how he managed to survive his childhood) and the only thing that kept him together was his music and his band mates … now he’s losing one of those and his deepest fear is that he’ll lose it all. Lucky for him, he has his own savior in Dr. Georgia Starr.

Georgia usually deals with pediatric patients but when she’s right there at Lennon’s accident she does everything she can to help. When she finds herself thinking about Lennon afterward, it doesn’t take her long before she finds herself in his room. And the hurt she senses in him (and their obvious attraction) has her going out of her way to get him back on his feet. She’s just not fully aware of what that is going to mean for them both.

I loved these two together. Lennon is struggling but he senses something in Georgia, something that speaks to his damaged side. While he’s given himself up as a lost cause, he thinks that she needs someone to help her get more out of life and he’s decided to help her. As for Georgia, she’s not going to let Lennon wallow. Her blunt, up-front personality is so refreshing and it definitely keeps him on his toes, making him think about more than what he’s lost (not just today but always).

Together Lennon and Georgia manage to work through their demons and figure out a way to enjoy life again. Steamy, sexy, and full of all sorts of emotions, Lennon Reborn is another wonderful entry into a fabulous series about men dealing with their pasts and the women who love them enough to help them through it.

Get your tissues ready for this one cause Lennon will break your heart!

I just don't even know where to start. I was shedding tears within the first chapter. Lennon was so lost and broken and I just wanted to snuggle him. It killed me that he didn't see the love the rest of the band, his family, had for him, and that he didn't think he was worthy of it. And Georgia, who was just as broken in her own way. She was just what Lennon needed, and Lennon was just what she needed :)

This series has been phenomenal! I have loved every word written and the PreLoad guys will always have a place in my heart.

Over the last couple years, Scarlett Cole has become one of my absolute favorite authors. She tells stories you simply haven’t read. I have been eagerly awaiting Lennon Reborn since first meeting the men of Preload and was not disappointed. The story was simply amazing! I cried. I swooned. I fell in love with the Preload men all over again.

Georgia and Lennon were everything I had hoped for and so much more. A tragedy brought the two of them together and I would love to say it was roses and easy going from there but that would be a lie. This love story took time and patience and true dedication. Despite the heavy emotional baggage Lennon carries with him, Georgia was there ready to show him the light. I adored them.

If Scarlett Cole has not already become a one-click for you now is the time to take the leap and try her out. Trust me, If you love hot romance with a lot of heart and some tears then you’ll love this!

I have read all previous books in this series and was impatiently waiting to read Lennon’s story (the final story in this series). It did not disappoint! Although Lennon isn’t my favorite band member (that would be Elliott), he worms into your heart and buries deep into it.
Georgia is a doctor who comes upon (sees it happen) the bus wreck scene and she jumps into action to offer her help. This is where she meets Lennon. Poor Lennon – on the verge of dying from blood lose. Something draws her to him and she continues to visit him in his hospital room. He allows her to visit despite pushing away all his friends/family members. These two become friends and then develop a relationship. Lennon struggles with being touched and having a relationship, but these two make it work. Such a sweet love story!

Absolutely loved this book! The struggle that Lennon goes through, after his accident and the way he has to deal with his demons from the past are heartbreaking. The way he had to deal with his live altering injury and how dark he envisioned his future took my breath away and kept me rooting for him since the beginning. Loved the way he stood up to protect Georgia from her stupid family. This series was a breath of fresh air and I adored it. This is one of my favorite authors and her books never disappoint.

Lennon Reborn by Scarlett Cole
Book #4: Preload Series
Source: Netgalley and Purchase
My Rating: 5/5 stars

Lennon Reborn marks the end of an era, and I found this book to be the perfect ending to what started several years ago with The Strongest Steel and blossomed into two distinct yet connected series. For three years, I have loved these books, devoured each one, and waxed poetic in my reviews. Just so you know, nothing is going to change here 😊

Plot: When Scarlett Cole decides to go out with a bang, she really does go big or go home! The whole hot mess starts with a devastating bus crash that has the entire band, their partners, and their kids tossed about and injured. The worst of the bunch is Lennon, and his injury sparks a whole host of issues including his ability to continue playing the drums, his desire to isolate himself from his family, and his lack of will to live. Parallel to Lennon’s story is that of Dr. Georgia Starr, a world-class surgeon with a crappy family and little to no life beyond the walls of the operating room. Georgia needs a serious shake-up in her life, and badly damaged drummer is just what she’s been waiting for whether she knows if or not.

Characters: As always, Scarlett Cole has offered a cast of characters that are real, believable, interesting, totally damaged, and worth rooting for. While I have generally gravitated toward the Preload guys in this series, I found myself far more interested in Lennon’s love interest, Georgia in this book. While it is Lennon and his injuries that bring Georgia into the story, it doesn’t take her but a second to take over. Georgia is so vibrant, so forceful in her presence that she simply shines, and that makes her the perfect partner and balance to Lennon. Additionally, from start to finish, all the Preload family is involved in this story. Lennon may be the most tragic of the group, but he isn’t alone, and the other characters and their respective partners don’t let him forget that fact. Everything about this particular story pulls all the characters together and truly drives home the point and purpose of family.

The Bottom Line: Lennon Reborn is one hell of an end to this series! This was yet another example of a totally engrossing read from Scarlett Cole, and I don’t think she cares about how tired I was the morning after I finished this book 😊 This one had everything from an extreme medical situation, to a hellacious recovery, to the rebuilding of a life, and new and quite unexpected beginning. In so many ways, this isn’t just Lennon and Georgia’s story, but the story of Preload as a group and as a family. Though I enjoyed the entire book, I particularly liked the end with everyone coming together and celebrating all the milestones, not just Lennon’s. This series, and the series this one spun off of, are genuine worlds with real people facing real issues, and struggling to overcome their obstacles. Through each book, each character grows, learns, and becomes so much more than what he or she started as, and it is because of this that I have sincerely loved this series.

I do not want this series to end!!! Scarlett Cole has written a group of guys who completely own my heart and some of the most emotional books I've read recently. Jordan and Lennon were the two who affected me the most, and I've been waiting what seems like forever to know the real story behind Lennon and meet three woman who could finally reach him. This story was everything I'd hoped it would be. It tugged my heart all over the place but made me so happy in the end.
I was thrilled to receive an ARC from Net Galley.

Lennon McCartney believes he doesn't have much to live for. So, when he's in a horrific accident and loses his chance to continue his life as a musician, he's all but given up hope of things in his life getting better. However, when Georgia Starr comes to his aid, he begins to see there's plenty to live for. Will Georgia be able to help Lennon heal the deep wounds of his past in order to achieve their happy ever?

What a beautifully-crafted, emotionally-devastating, fast-paced read Ms. Cole has penned in this fourth book of her Preload series, which is also the best of the series yet. Since Lennon has given up on life after everything he's been through and the heroine is ready to live her life the way she wants instead of caring about being the daughter of an elitist, arrogant father who doesn't respect her, even though she's accomplished so much as a neurosurgeon. Will the pair be able to help each other heal from the wounds of their pasts?

The way this story started had me immediately hooked because Lennon hasn't had it easy in life and it's understandable why he's ready to give up on life. However, it was from the moment the hero and heroine meet where this story really takes off, as Georgia is the bright light at the end of Lennon's dark tunnel and determined to show him that he shouldn't give up. Will she be able to convince him that life is worth living, especially after what he's lost because of the accident?

As for the dialogue, it was intense due to the main characters back stories, especially that of the hero and I could understand why his bandmates are so determined to make him realize how much he's loved and that he'll never be alone again. Will he finally unload to his friends all that he's been through in his life? Moreover, the main characters are incredible, well-developed and I loved every interaction between them, as the heroine isn't about to let Lennon drown in his sorrow.

With the heroine, she's resilient, courageous and I liked how determined she was to help Lennon through everything because his world has been turned upside down. I also liked how she finally stood up to her father and wasn't about to let him get away with anything, especially with what he tries to do that leaves the heroine making big decisions for her life and finally realizing that she's better off without such impropriety in her life. Why can't her father love her like a father should? While the hero, I absolutely loved him. He goes through so much in this story, but I loved that he put his trust in the heroine because letting Georgia get to know all of him -- the good and the bad -- goes a long way to helping him heal. I also loved the tight bond he shares with his bandmates and how they're not about to let him give up either. He's family and loved and nothing will ever change that.

Overall, Ms. Cole has delivered a superb read in this book where the chemistry between this couple was powerful; the romance was hot and shows how good these two are together; and the ending had me loving how these two work through their biggest obstacle to be together because someone has to make a tough choice. Will it be Georgia or Lennon? However, it was the epilogue that wrapped this story up perfectly because of how good things have worked out for the hero after everything he's been through. Really, meeting the heroine is the best thing to happen to him. I would recommend Lennon Reborn by Scarlett Cole, if you enjoy tear-jerking stories that will leave you with a smile on your face at the end when the main characters achieve their happy ever after or if you enjoy books by authors Kimberly Kincaid, Avery Flynn, Claudia Connor and Devney Perry. Just remember to have a tissue handy when you start reading this story. You'll need it!

Lennon Reborn by Scarlett Cole
Preload #4

Lennon McCartney is the youngest member of and drummer for the rock group Preload. When the story begins he is has an internal dialogue running as he writes in his journal and he seems to be distancing himself from the rest of the band – men that all consider one another brothers by choice if not by blood – men who met in a foster home after horrific issues earlier in their lives. With most of the band’s partners and children on the bus at the end of the tour Lennon is the only one still on his own. As they are traveling in New York in in the bus hired to get them to their next venue an accident occurs that will be life changing for Lennon.

Dr. Georgina Starr, a neurosurgeon, happens to witness the accident, steps in to triage, saves at least one person and then becomes a big part of Lennon’s life as he begins to deal with the trauma from the accident. She pushes him to take better care of himself and to follow medical protocol that will assist in his healing. She also becomes very close to him – so close that he begins to let down some of the walls he has built to keep him emotionally safe – if perhaps not entirely emotionally healthy.

Both Lennon and Gia (as Lennon calls her) begin a relationship that has the potential to provide them with more than either has ever expected but before they can get to a HEA they both may want they are required to work through a number of issues to make sure they are both emotionally, physically and professionally alright in the future.

This was an emotional story in more ways than one. It had me unable to put it down till I finished in the wee hours of the morning and still thinking about what I had read a few days later. This series was wonderful and I am sorry to have to say goodbye to these characters but am also happy that they all came out at the end of the series still “brothers” and have grown their family while also finding peace.

Thank you to NetGalley, St. Martin’s Press and Barclay Publicity for the ARC – This is my honest review.

I have been a fan of Scarlett Cole's since I read her first book The Strongest Steel back in 2015, not only do I enjoy her story lines but the way she writes really pulls me into the story as if I am right there watching everything as it's happening. I think it's a true gift to be able to do that and she does it every single time.

This has been an emotional series but Lennon, holy cow, I really don’t know what to say. This story had me in tears for the majority of the book. Before chapter two ended I had huge tears rolling uncontrollably down my face, I shouldn't have been reading while in public because I knew this would be an emotional read but I just couldn't put the book down. We start the story off with a life altering event in not only Lennon's life but the life of his band mates and their families as well. This event is where Lennon first meets Georgia, and thankfully she doesn't listen to him....smart woman! and that's all I can say about that.

Lennon and Georgia may have had an instant attraction but it does take time for things to heat up which I really appreciated, because under the circumstances anything else would have felt false. Lennon has been through so much in his life things that would horrify anyone with a conscience.

Scarlett Cole is freaking amazing with wiggling her way into your heart then gutting you but somehow she brings the rainbow at the end of an epic storm. Lennon is the final book in the Preload series, and to say she saved the best for last would be an understatement. I have enjoyed getting to know each and everyone of the band members. I was thrilled when Jordan got his book because I needed to know what made him the man that he is and for a long time he was my absolute favorite of the famous five, but now that I have read Lennon's story I have to say that he may have nudged Jordan out of the top spot.

Wow I can say that this one was one of my favorite in the series! So intense that I felt so connected to the characters and it was more intimidate ! Also I could feel the attraction between them, and their feelings develop beautifully and realistically. There were tons of touching messages and moments in this story , a beautiful story!

Scarlett Cole has written a heart wrenching emotional story about life, heartache, loss and survival. Lennon has experienced so much pain and heartache within his childhood and this has caused him to suffer in silence throughout his adult life. This was evident throughout the series when Lennon would make remarks that showed just how much pain he was carrying around. In Lennon Reborn the author did an amazing job with writing this emotional story and it would have to be one for the best book series I have had the pleasure of reading.

Avid Reader – ☆☆☆☆
M/F Romance
Triggers: Suicide, Traumatic Injury - accident, Child neglect, Child death

Lennon is struggling with his life. Despite loving his job, he also sees his brothers/bandmates moving forward in their lives. Lennon's inner voice is constantly telling him that there is nothing worthy in him. When Lennon and his bandmates are in an accident, Lennon's outlook on life only become more bleak.

Georgia is a hard working surgeon. She knows her job and knows that she's amazing. BUT, with a family full of doctors – all her brothers and her father – she feels that she never truly measures up because her dad and brothers are constantly belittling her and her career. When she witnesses an accident, she can't help but help. What she doesn't expect is to see her patient bleeding out and hearing him wanting to give up – wanting her to give up on him.

Georgia can't help but see Lennon for who he truly is – she can't help but see his pain too. Instead of an epic romance, you get to see their journey together. Lennon works through his past issues and current situation and Georgia has to work through her family's betrayal and her desire to continue on her career. Lennon also returns the kindness and love to Georgia by seeing how hard she works and how much she cares about her patients.

I really enjoyed this story – it was strong and emotional, realistic and enjoyable.

This story starts with an explosive plot twist that had me completely shocked (no spoilers!). In the aftermath, an unlikely friendship emerges between a heavy metal drummer and a high-flying neurosurgeon.

As with every book in this series, Lennon’s story is heartbreaking at times and I blubbered through good chunks of it. Where other band members struggled to justify their present success and happiness against their childhood horrors, Lennon must deal with the trauma in his present while also working through his terrifying past experiences.

As a surgeon, Georgia is just as successful and celebrated as Lennon in her own circles. Georgia struggles with a family that is cold, pushy, and brutally competitive. And while she is the best at what she does, her job consumes all of her energy. Her surprising friendship with Lennon provides much needed social interaction and provides some balance in her life.

The relationship between Lennon and Georgia builds slowly. In the beginning, they provide a place of escape for each other. Friendship follows and soon, Georgia and Lennon make each other stronger and more resilient.

This last Preload book is beautiful. I was fully consumed by the characters, their experiences, and their emotions. Beyond the suffering, this series always offers strands of hope and redemption and while this story starts in a very dark place, Lennon’s Preload family doesn’t allow him to stay there. I love the ‘family of choice’ theme that runs through this whole series and I’ve loved watching the Preload men grow into themselves and their relationships. I am so sad that the series has finished but I’m definitely going back to the beginning for a binge reread.

Another 5 star read for the last book in the series – but as I have thought about every single one as I read it... this is definitely my favourite... until I find time to read them all one after the other and love them all as much as the other.

Whilst the other stories have given us insight into painful pasts, and clarity over the joy that can be possible in the present, this one makes us question both the past and the future. And yes, make sure you have plenty of tissues to hand, and a private space in which to imbibe this wonderful book.

Lennon definitely competes with the rest of the men for a terrible past, one which has done him some awful damage which still scars his mind. And somehow, the power of love, the love of a woman who just somehow gets him, will make all the difference in the world to his future happiness. And whilst the way he meets her has to be the hardest thing to ever happen to him, she is everything he needs.

Georgia is such a perfect match for Lennon. Only Ms. Cole could have possibly imagined such a person, with intensely different, but serious family issues, could have given Lennon the chance to become whole. I love that he believes his mission to be to save her, just as she is inevitably saving him right back.

Beautifully intense, sexy, and just wonderful. This is really an amazing story, I recommend it to you with every bit of me, heart, brain, and soul. Some of the scenes are so perfect, so simple in their words, so intense in their meaning. Thank you, Ms. Cole, thank you for an amazing group of men and the women who love them – but maybe, most of all, thank you for Maisie and Ellen.

Mary Jo – ☆☆☆☆
Lennon's struggles only get worse and more intense after the bus crash that injures him and his bandmates and their families. Waking up after the accident and learning the truth about what happened to him, he only wants to be alone.

The accident reminds him of his past, his neglectful mother, and his long-lost sister. He blames himself for the accident that caused his sister's death and believed everything his mother ever told him.

Georgia is a breath of fresh air in Lennon's life. It’s as if she sees him in a way that no one else can. She listens to his words and then to what he's not saying with his mouth, but with his eyes and body language.

Georgia likes being with Lennon. For all of his medical issues, he's easy to be around. He sees her in ways that her family doesn't. He lets her be... he just lets her be. He doesn't expect extraordinary things from her other than to be present with him. He encourages her to do the things she wants and to be the person she longs to be.

A truly fitting end to this wonderful series.

Kris – ☆☆☆☆☆
Lennon was really a heartfelt look into a person with a horrible childhood trying to find it in his heart to accept love when he feels like he's not deserving. Having been ignored and abandoned by his teenaged birth mother, Lennon never formed the bonds that teach us how to love or accept affection. Finding his "brothers" in the group home they shared helped, but Lennon always felt like an outsider, much due to his own tendency to push people away. After a horrible accident and Lennon losing his arm, he feels the band won’t need him or want him anymore. Coming to grips with a horrible situation and learning how to live with only one arm, Lennon finds himself opening his heart to the doctor who saved his life that tragic day.

Georgia is a workaholic, she's a renowned neurosurgeon and has spent her entire life honing her craft, her calling. Coming from a very long line of neurosurgeons, including her father and three brothers, being the only woman was trying and difficult. Never really adding up in her father’s eyes, Georgia is tired of the misogyny of her family. Lennon is so different from the other men in her life. He encourages her to have fun, take time off, and enjoy the quiet moments. In turn, Georgia is showing Lennon that he's wanted and needed. The two of them were sweet and sincere and touching.

I thought the chemistry between them was fantastic but also worried that Georgia was a bit too accepting of Lennon's mercurial moods. I also struggled with the ending. Georgia leaves everything behind to go with Lennon. Her home, her practice, her life. He pretty much just says, hey, go work at this hospital instead of the one you've made a name for yourself at because it would be better for me. Love sometimes does make people make tough decisions, sacrifices and compromises are what happen in a relationship. While Lennon was definitely in need of his brothers/bandmates and his home to help with his fledgling recovery, I found him really selfish expecting Georgia to leave everything. Then again, to quote a favorite movie "What wouldn't I do for the right guy?" (credit: Practical Magic) applies here. Because love is something to give it all up for... sometimes. Felt the ending was a bit rushed. Would have liked more on Georgia's father and the fallout of her leaving the Starrs of New York and moving to Canada with a rock star. Georgia just fell into the friendship with the other women of Preload and Lennon starred in the ending. It was his book, just felt Georgia got a bit pushed to the wayside.

This is a book with all the feels – I loved it!

Lennon McCartney is at the height of his career as a drummer for a band that is crazy popular. He and his bandmates are involved in an accident that results in the loss of Lennon’s arm and, he thinks, his livelihood. Having witnessed the accident, Doctor Georgia Starr is quick to jump in to provide any medical attention she can, and she quickly takes a liking to Lennon. When Lennon pushes everyone in his life away, Georgia steps in and offers him a place to live and a shoulder to lean on. This is the start of a great friendship that quickly turns into so much more.

I really enjoyed the progression of this story, it didn’t feel rushed but still has a great pace. Georgia and Lennon are made for one another, Georgia is the perfect balance to Lennon’s moodiness while Lennon gives her the push she needs to step outside her family’s “bubble” in New York. I adored both of their characters and found the journey that Lennon goes on accepting life without his arm truly inspiring. This is the first in the series that I’ve read – so I’d say it can definitely be read as a standalone but on that same note, I’m adding the first three books to my TBR!

I also have to say I love the title of this book – it’s so very fitting!
