Simply amazing! This is one of those books that needs more than 5 stars to express how fantastic it is!! I adore all the characters in this series. Each one is slightly broken, flawed, and completely intriguing. Lennon is by far the most mysterious of the group and this author crafted a powerful story to get him his own happily ever after. Your every emotion will be touched by Lennon and Georgia's story. These characters will stay with you long after you've finished reading the last page. Put this at the top of the must read list! I highly recommend it. |

Love & Family! Like so many other fans of the Preload Series, I have been anticipating Lennon's book since the very beginning. Lennon has been the closed off yet intriguing a**hole, whose shell I wanted to crack. Scarlett Cole has been teasing us with slivers of Lennon's heart and tormented soul all along and I still wasn't quite prepared for his story. Lennon Reborn is a story about rejection, loss, belonging, hope, and ultimately love. Love in all its glorious manifestations including familial love, self acceptance, affectionate love, and passionate love. Lennon McCartney is already struggling to find his place in this world. He is a member of a popular band. However, Preload is not just a band they are a family. Due to early childhood trauma, Lennon is always waiting to be left behind or rejected. He pushes away those he cares about in an effort to keep them from rejecting him first. That constant fear is weighing on him and when tragedy strikes his resolve to keep fighting is tested. Dr. Georgia Starr is a brilliant neurosurgeon. She is passionate about her young patients and their health. Her work is her life and leaves little room for anything else. Despite her career success, her father picks her apart any chance he gets. He is more concerned with his reputation and family legacy than his daughter's happiness. One icy evening the course of her life is altered. She witnesses a tragic accident and jumps head first into the chaos. While triaging accident victims she stumbles upon Lennon. The connection between Lennon and Georgia is frantic, shocking, and fierce. Mrs. Cole never fails to draw readers in with her strong, struggling characters and brilliant character arcs. Lennon Reborn is no exception. Lennon and "Gia" both have issues they need to address and obstacles they must overcome. Their path to happiness is one filled with emotion, disappointment, acceptance, patience and faith. The journey is hard fought and immensely rewarding in the end. Lennon Reborn is a magnificent conclusion to the Preload Series. My heart is full and my eyes a bit misty. Bravo! "Our rhythm’s been off without you. Not as Preload , but as a five. As brothers. You keep us grounded. You are the heartbeat of our family. It hasn’t been the same without you.” |
Lennon Reborn is the final book of the series Preload by Scarlett Cole, providing the fans of this series more an incredible story that lived up to the other. In this fourth and last book we have the story of Lennon, and I must say that it was a character that always intrigued me since him showed up. And so I knew a little of the real Lennon, that behind the facade of closed and hard I fell in love with him. I think I have a love affair by good guys tortured. Georgia, the heroine of this story appears in the life of Lennon precisely at a time when he most needed serving of emotional support and also showing Lennon that he's someone worthy of love and be loved. I love developing between these two characters and how both served as anchor for one another grow as a person and open to love.Of course, I can't help but comment that it was great to see the other characters of this story and I can see that they are still happy and being a family to each other. Lennon Reborn is a great ending to a series that kept me from the first book. Is an emotional story of heartbreaking at times but also full of romantic and funny moments. |
This is the 4th book in this series and can absolutely be read as a stand alone. I didn't read the books before this one and still understood everything that happened in it. This one is about Lennon McCartney, who is the drummer for the band Preload, and Georgia Starr, who is a pediatric neurosurgeon. This book starts off with the biggest tragedy that a drummer could face happening. And Georgia is the doctor who happens to be a bystander and saves his life. Now Lennon has to get past what happened and come to terms with how his life will be now. And Georgia, who felt like she might be able to do some good realizes there may be more to their connection than just a woman who can help a man heal. I was slightly iffy about reading this book. I wasn't sure whether I would really like it, especially since I haven't read the previous books in this series and thought I for sure wouldn't understand the connections between the other characters. I am so glad that I read this book! It surprised me to no end how much I loved it! From the get go Lennon makes you feel for him like no tomorrow! And after the accident and what happens to save his life, it makes you want to cry. Especially with his own feelings of self worth thrown in there. I loved every bit of this book! Georgia is perfect for him. She is strong when he needs her to be, she doesn't put up with anything! But she is also loving and soft when he needs it. Someone who truly gets him and how he feels. And once he understands exactly what he can have with her, it's a beautiful thing exactly what they can (and do) for each other to be not only healthy but happy! I am so glad I changed my mind and read this book. And now I have since gone and gotten the previous books so I can see how those stories play out! |
4 Stars! This book... oh my! Lennon Reborn is deeply emotional and dark. Lennon is complex and complicated, broken, not even close to being whole. The music and his band are the only things holding him together. I cried tears for this character. Georgia is drifting, brilliant and lost. She sees Lennon as someone she has to fix. She feels for him. She cares for him. They need each other. I warn you, this book is emotional, deep and dark at times. BUT, it is so worth all of that. Just make sure to have a quiet place to read and a box of tissues, you will need them. |

Lennon McCartney is Preload’s drummer. His bandmates are the only real family he has ever known. He is the youngest member of the band, everybody loves him and yet he still feels second best. Drumming is his life, he has no other life plan. He has a difficult time dealing with the pressure of Preload’s success. When tragedy strikes, he’ll need determination and passion to work through his issues and deal with his emotions. He struggles to accept the reality of his new limitations. I was drawn in right from the start and could feel Lennon’s heartache and pain after his accident. Lennon hurts, and in many ways, the heroine of this story, Georgia Starr, is his savior. He doesn’t want compassion or sympathy and she doesn’t offer that, she just wants to help him. Lennon and Georgia’s story was a ride full of the feels with sweet and honest moments, some deliciously sexy and tender. We get to see the happy times between these characters, the sad, the funny, and of course the sweet romantic ones. I loved the way that these two come together, how they work through their past and embrace their present. It was raw, honest and real with some brutal truths and poignant battles. Georgia gives Lennon clarity about what he wants from his life and helps him appreciate what he has, including his wonderful Preload family. I loved them as a couple and I was really happy with the way things ended up for them. I really couldn’t stop reading. These two characters just burrowed right into my heart. I would definitely recommend this sweet, addicting and emotional romance where longing and regret collide, to anyone who wants to enjoy two characters that have amazing chemistry and a beautiful story. |

What can I say about this book other than that Scarlett has surpassed all of my high expectations for it. It was an emotional rollercoaster that kept me on my toes. This story was heart-breakingly beautiful, inspiring and thought-provoking. Scarlett knows how to deliver a perfect romance by giving us an exciting storyline with two intriguing character's whose struggles felt real and relatable. There is such a beauty in her writing that's always so honest and powerful. It resonates with me and touches the deepest recesses of my heart and soul. I admire Scarlett for her talent. Her books are my happy place. Lennon Reborn truly started off with a bang - an absolutely tragic and unforseen event that changed the lives of the five Preload band members forever. But the one who suffered the most physical and mental scars from it was Lennon. We already know from the previous books in this series that Lennon is a very closed off person who doesn't like to speak about his past and the demons that are still haunting him at night. In this last Preload installment we get to see how his life was before he moved to the group home in Toronto and became the band's drummer and brother to Dred, Nikan, Jordan and Elliott. I promise you that your heart is going to break for Lennon and everything he went through. No wonder he thinks that he is not worthy and capable of love. But although he went through so many hardships in his life - more than a single person can possibly bear - he was able to recover from his depression and start over again with the help of an incredibly strong, smart and kind-hearted woman. Georgia Starr is a very succesful and acknowledged neurosurgeon. She is admired and respected by her peers. Her family, which is coming from a long line of distinguished New York doctors, and especially her arrogant, devious father are always questioning her achievements and making her feel small and unworthy. Georgia is very passionate about her profession - for her it's not only a job but a calling. It's the only thing she has and needs in her life. Until a fateful encounter with a young and handsome rocker from Canada changes her well-crafted plans. She only wanted to make him feel better and get a new perspective but what she didn't expect was for him to change hers. Lennon made her feel alive, adventurous and brave. He made her realise what she is made of and that she doesn't need her family's approval in order to be happy. In Lennon she found her home and the love she was desperately craving for so long. I loved the dynamics between Georgia and Lennon. She breathed life into him again and was his silver lining. Gia knew how to handle him and she understood him without words. There was a deep and profound connection between them. One that only people destined for each other have. I enjoyed seeing them challenging and completing each other. The wealthy, educated doctor fell head over heals for the sexy rocker and former foster child. I absolutely adored this story and highly recommend it. If you're a fan of angsty and emotional reads with great character development and entertaining storyline than this is the right read for you. Grab it and let Scarlett Cole put you under her spell. You won't regret it! |

Lennon Reborn is absolutely everything I wanted it to be! I was waiting for Lennon's story since he was first mentioned in Dred's book. It's deeply emotional and heartbreaking but also inspiring and thought provoking. When Lennon is in the depths of despair Georgia is his guiding light. And I loved Georgia, she was strong and kind and selfless. This book will make you cry, want to throw your kindle and curse Ms. Cole a few times or dozen. It WILL hold you emotionally hostage, but then she will put the pieces of your heart back together slowly and you might still like her when you finish the book. Lennon owns a piece of my heart now. This was beautiful end to an amazing series. I will miss the guys of Preload but I couldn't ask for a better send off. 5 Stars!!! |

Ms. Cole has saved the best for last! This series was a great ride with seeing all the band members grow up and get there happy ever after. Lennon a boy who never had love growing up was afraid to hope for happiness, sure he had the band but that felt like default love to him. He never allowed himself to enjoy life and not fear things being taken away from him. When tragedy strikes the band and Lennon's life is altered he almost gives up. Dr. Georgia Starr was at the perfect place at the perfect time in coming into Lennon's life. She has always wanted the fairytale relationship in life but how she ends up with it is nothing like she saw happening in her mind. They way they bring out and see qualities in each other is just what each needed in there life without even knowing it. Hated to see this series end, really enjoyed seeing the boys who had such a horrible start end with a better finish. Honest review in exchange for ARC. |
This was an emotional teeter totter that has me anxious for MORE! LOVED Lennon Reborn. My first into the Preload Series was Elliot Redeemed and I recall thinking man I need to go back and read Jordan Reclaimed...and then follow this series. Somehow this did not happen and I again find myself wanting more. Scarlett Cole pulls you in right from the beginning of Lennon Reborn, there was no slow build. It was literally intro to book and Boom Drama! I read this all in one sitting as I think many reader will because putting it down is not an option. I had to go back and read the blurb so I knew what not to put in this review...so needless to say, you won't be getting much about the story line from me. I can tell you...I was heartbroken and crying...and smiling and laughing...and flipping pages as fast as I could. We get two very well developed characters in Lennon Reborn. Lennon was everything you would expect out of a broken man and your heart just hurts for him all the way through this story. I found I was really rooting for him...he just needed something good. Enter Georgia. Hands down I loved her. She was a strong woman and I really appreciated that about her. This story wouldn't have worked with anything less from Georgia. She was the rock and stories with strong female leads are some of my favorites. Lennon Reborn gets 5 stars from me and I am off to buy the other books for my collection! |
I adore this series, and I have eagerly awaited Lennon’s story. He’s moody, broody, tortured and elusive, and we finally learn why he is the way he is. It’s gut-wrenching and heartbreaking. Scarlett Cole never shies away from deeply affecting, tough storylines, and she pulls out all the stops with Lennon Reborn. It’s emotional, moving and beautiful, although it is sometimes painful to read. Georgia appears in Lennon’s life right when he needs her - like fate - and her caring nature kicks into overdrive when she senses how much he needs someone and how much he will never admit that he does. His soul calls to her, but their relationship isn’t one-sided. Lennon provides something powerful and supportive for Georgie, too, and they are well-matched. Scarlett Cole is a phenomenal writer and her characters and their stories are always complex and layered. She’s an auto-buy for me. I can’t wait to see what is next. |
Lennon Reborn by Scarlett Cole is book Four in the Preload Series. This is the story of Lennon McCartney and Dr. Georgia Starr. I haven't yet read the previous books, so for me this was a standalone book. Lennon although a part of the Preload group never really felt that way. Lennon was a torchered sole past and present. Georgia too had her issue and although a successes at work not so much with her personal life. When these to come together they start to fill the hurt and void in the other one. This is a somewhat Dark Romance but it was a really good one that is hard to put down for sure! |
Oh my gawd!!! My heart was literally shredded over Lennon and all he had survived in his life. A more broken hero, I’ve never met. If ever there was a man that needed unconditional love it was him. His thoughts were so dark, his heart unable to acknowledge anything other than rejection. With a soul that had been bleeding his whole life, Lennon was unable to find any freedom from the pain inflicted upon it. He knew with certainty that there was nothing out there for him. My soul bled for him in return. Fate brought Georgia and Lennon together at one traumatic moment that would change Lennon’s life in so many different ways. Even as she lays her hand upon him to reassure him of her presence, she can feel the jolt of life that resides inside of him, a recognition that he has so much more to give. And so, her fight begins. Lennon had the most atrocious childhood imaginable. While his bandmates find love, peace and happiness, he’s still on the sidelines as a place holder, waiting for the moment when they will walk away from him. When Georgia forces herself into his life with her nonjudgmental manner and cool professionalism, he finds moments of time when the aching need to just end it all fades away. My gawd, did I respect the heck out of Georgia! She took on a task that most would’ve walked away from. And more importantly, she refused to go into this relationship with anything other than truth. There were no games played here. No lies told to protect themselves. When it might have been easier at times to toss out a blasé comment, they held tight to being who they were. A very rare occurrence in romance books. There is so much more to Lennon Reborn than just boy meets girl, etc. It was so freaking heart breaking, I mean truly heart breaking. I cried so much over Lennon’s abusive past, his present as he struggled to accept his current status, and the future that he was too afraid to hope for. There are layers upon layers to Lennon and Georgia and I absolutely adored every one that was revealed. All of that to say: This, my friends, is a true love story, not just a romance. A love story. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book provided by NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press. All thoughts and opinions are my own. |
Preload are back for one final book and you know that saying, “save the best for last”? Well that is exactly what Scarlett Cole has done with Lennon Reborn. OMG, this book is EVERYTHING!!!! Confession time and I’m totally not kidding, this book broke me. I’m talking sobbing, staring blankly at a wall, unable to comprehend how phenomenal a read it is for hours. I put off writing this review till the death for the simple reason that I still am not over Lennon Reborn and I think it’s going to be a long time before I am. This is hands down my favourite book of the year. Scarlett Cole is the mistress of gleefully ripping out your still beating heart and stomp all over it writing. Be forewarned, you will feel like as though you are being dragged through barbed wire backwards with all the feels while inhaling a book that I can only describe as heart breakingly perfect. I knew going into this book that Lennon would be the toughest of the guys to read. I’ve had a soft spot for him for a while and oh how right I was. This book owned my ass from the opening lines till I was done, left feeling like I had been in a whirlwind that had flayed me raw and left me emotionally bereft. Yes, I’m being dramatic, but just wait till you read it and you will understand why I am. Lennon and Georgia were a once in a very long time special read. That’s the best I can come up with. I’m sorry but there is just no way I can do their story justice with my paltry words. Just thinking about them has me tearing up. Damn feels. So much happens in this story that at times you will feel breathless, as Lennon and Georgia navigate through the monumental events of the opening chapter and find love when they least expected it. For fans of the series and come on why aren’t you? The rest of the band are all part of the story and by the end of the book you will, like me, feel completely satisfied as to how the bands overall story arc comes to its end. Okay, you will probably be in tears like me, but those really were happy tears. This is a book that you need to experience, there is absolutely no way around it. But it’s so worth the effort, believe me. I want to take a moment to thank Scarlett Cole for being so honest, real and raw with Lennon during this story, she didn’t shy away from a tough subject and as someone who has had a family member in the same position, I can say you nailed it and I think it’s why this book has affected me so deeply. (Oh man, here go the tears again). THANK YOU! If you only read one series this year, make it the Preload series, you won’t regret it. |

Lennon Reborn was such a heart-breakingly beautiful and touching story. I thought I was prepared for it, since Scarlett Cole announced that it is going to be a tear jerker, but I honestly wasn't. I totally underestimated the impact it would have on me. You can't read about Lennon's tragic loss and loveless childhood without being affected. My heart hurt for this vulnerable young man who was hiding behind a mask his whole life because he was unable to let anyone into his heart. He never learned how. His whole life he thought that he isn't worth anybody's love. So many people disappointed and left him that he could hardly embrace the love of his band members from Preload. Even these guys, who are his brothers since they grew up together in a group home, don't know Lennon's whole story. When a horrific accident deprives Lennon McCartney of the one thing he loves most, his ability to play drums, the young musician is left devastated. Plagued by crushing guilt over his tragic past and mourning his lost future, all he wants is to give up. What's the point in living a life you don't want? Dr. Georgia Starr is a legend in her field. She’s one of the most successful neurosurgeons in the world, coming from a long-line of respected New York doctors and real estate owners. Her life is all about solving complex medical cases but the one problem she can’t solve is how to live her own life. How to step up to her arrogant father who only criticizes her and never acknowledges her accomplishments. Can a broken man who despises his life and a good-hearted woman who desperately wants to live free find all they ever needed but never thought they would find in each other's arms? Georgia and Lennon came from two different worlds that were never meant to collide, but they did. If it weren't for Georgia and her determination, Lennon would have given up. Her strenght, love and compassion gave him the courage to open his heart to her and his brothers and accept his situation. But Lennon had a huge influence on his Gia too. He showed her how to let loose and made her understand that home is where your heart is. They complemented each other perfectly and had great chemistry! I want to congratulate Scarlett Cole on writting such a brilliant book and ending this addictive series in the best way possible. As a huge fan of hers and her exceptional writing I couldn't have asked for more. I'm sad to say good bye to my Preload boys but I'm glad to know that they are all happy now having their own families and being surrounded by love. 5 stars |

Lennon McCartney is the drummer for Preload and while heading to their final show before a scheduled several months break when they are involved in a devastating accident. Georgia Starr, a premier pediatric neurosurgeon, just happens to be driving, which she rarely does, by and quickly jumps in to help extricate the band members and their family from the bus. This is how she meets Lennon and her medical care is what saves his life, medically and emotionally. Lennon was deeply depressed prior to the accident but after he turns everyone away. Georgia has it all. A thriving career but she will never have the approval of her father who seems to have a control over the rest of the family. Georgia is drawn to Lennon in ways she could not fathom and days after the accident turned up in his hospital room and the band members (his family) are their but getting nowhere with him but she steps in and she is the light in his world. Watching Lennon and Georgia come to grips with their budding friendship that sparks into so much more was beautiful but watching the healing that happens to both Lennon and Georgia as they each come to grips with what their lives need was told in a way that was thought provoking and emotional. Make sure you have tissues handy when reading this one! This can be read as a standalone. I have not read the other books in this series and was not lost at all. That being said, I am going to have to find the other books about the rest of the "family" because these "brothers" are fascinating. **Received this ARC for review from the publisher via NetGalley** |
Lennon Reborn is book which was amazingly written. Scarlet Cole has a way with words which leaves you emotional, thoughtful, full of feelings of what is right and important in life. It brings you in the middle of the story and you feel with her characters. The bad, the good, faith, gratitude. You see the light at the end of the darkness. You see the love, the caring but also denial. Lennon always seems to think the worse. He is jealous of the love his band mates has found. He believes that he isn't enough and that he has to suffer for what he has done. Gia is a neurosurgeon and tries to save as many children as she can. She is focused on her work only but suddenly there appears a man in her life and she isn't able to stop thinking about him. They are so very different but they seem to understand each other. They never saw it coming.... I loved the book, all its characters, well except Gia's ungrateful family. Each of them is unique. I felt the love among them. |
Wow, Scarlett has done it again and I must say that Lennon is my favorite of the Preload novels and I am so glad I got to read his story. If you have read the previous books about the Preload men, then you would know they haven’t had the easiest of childhoods. They all have such gripping backstories that will make you cry for their heartbreak and hope they will find a future worth living. “Lennon Reborn” takes Lennon on an emotional journey of finding the acceptance, love, family and way to fight the darkness he lives with every day. Lennon is the little brother and brooder of the band which made him the most introverted than the rest. He lives with demons within himself and doesn’t’ let anyone see who he truly is where he lives behind sarcasm and anger. Then one-night it all changes when the whole band and their families lives hang in the balance by a tragic accident. Georgia (Gia), is a world-renowned Neurosurgeon who happens to be driving behind the Preload tour bus when it gets involved in an accident. Georgia comes to the rescue that night and she is the last person Lennon sees before he blacks out. That night also brought about a connection they saw with one another just from those few minutes. The accident took something from Lennon and he goes through a period of grief but when Georgia starts visiting him, he does not know how to handle his feelings. Georgia gives Lennon something he has been fighting his whole life from accepting and it scares him. They both have baggage and I love the fact that they fought for one another. Their relationship is intense and sexy with a dirty talk that will make you need a cold shower just from their stares alone. Scarlett has truly given Lennon a book to rival the others because when he thinks his story with pull at your heartstrings. Georgia saw something in Lennon and it gave her a way to live her life outside of the hospital. I love them together and they are my second favorite couple. Of course, Jordan and Lexi are still my favorite of the couples, but Lennon and Georgia keep up with on the intensity scale. Lennon Reborn will pull at your heartstrings and break your heart for children who must live in darkness. |
✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ FOUR & 1/2-STAR ✩ REVIEW ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ > > Judging a Book by it's Cover < < Visually striking cover with bold color and strong fonts. I did not read the synopsis, I've been waiting for Lennon's story & jumped on it as soon as I saw it was available. > > Looking Deeper < < POV ~> Third-person Scarlett Cole does an amazing job of portraying the depth of the characters within the first chapter and will leave the reeling in its aftermath. Sacrifice, loss, suffering... this one will leave you wrecked! Lennon suffers from anxiety and a kind of detachment brought on by his formative years. He thinks himself to be unlovable and incapable of loving. It takes losing a part of himself and the threat of losing much more to really allow him to find himself and see things more clearly. Georgia was born into a cold and competitive upper-crust family, knowing love only from her grandfather. No matter that she's at of the top in her field, it's never deemed "good enough" for her father and brothers and she cannot step foot out of her house without fear of how it'll affect the family name. I have loved the already established cast from the time we were introduced to them in the SECOND CIRCLE series. The chemistry between the main couple, as well as the secondary character interactions, are strong and deep. The plot is dynamic and the pages turned at a quick pace. There were a few issues discussed in the book that I did not quite feel were addressed with closure but they were minor items that I'd personally noted and nothing that affects the overall story. Predictability was on par with the series as a whole. The conclusion for Lennon and Georgia was solid and mostly satisfying but I could not help but wonder, "What happens now? Is this the end?" This did not feel like the end of a series so I am hoping for more, somehow. I loved the book, love the series and would strongly recommend reading this series in order but START with the Second Circle series, as it ALL starts there and works towards Preload's series. .
